Yeah, I played Skyrim on my old PS3 when it came out, and it's still fun.  When I made the switch to PC, though, I indulged heavily in modding and it really breathed some new life into the game.  I did the same to DA: O.

I played both of them lol. But that was, like, 10, 12 years ago?? I'm not sure I remember the story as I was still a kid back then lol

There are a few NPCs you can marry in different factions-- on my first character in Skyrim (when I played on my PS3 before it had a fatal accident with a power surge...), my Dragonborn married Farkas from the Companions.

 

Yep but it's mostly Companions. Other factions are very forgotten. And personally I'm not fond of Companions, they are creepy : S You can't marry anyone in the Thief guild nor Assassin one and I don't think you can't any in mage one either?

Let me guess - Solas x Lavellan paralleled to Tidus and Yuna's separation at the end of FFX? I haven't romanced Solas but I totally see the heartwrench there. ;-;

 

I really do love the parallel between the Fade in Dragon Age and the Farplane/Lifestream in the Final Fantasy series, too. Especially since lyrium/lyrium addiction is quite similar to mako/mako poisoning in FFVII.

I checked the wiki, and you can marry a few of your fellow mages in the College of Winterhold after completing their personal quests.  They're just the apprentices, though.  It's not like you can marry one of your professors :'(

 

I can understand why you can't marry anyone of the Dark Brotherhood (for story reasons...), but it is a damn shame that Brynjolf of the Thieves Guild can only be married through mods.  I melt when he calls me "Lass"

YES! I loved the Yuna and Tidus story and it is certainly like the Solas x Lavellan. OH...by the way...you NEED to romance Solas just to get the feels, lol! It is a really good romance.

I would go back to the Solas romance scene just for a good cry... so many feels for how little content he gets.

Such a good story...and then FFX-2 was really good in my opinion as well. Here is a video that pretty much sums up the whole Solas and Lavellan romance and the same with Yuna and Tidus.

Yeah, lately I've been spending more time here in the Cullen thread since giving that blonde cutie a chance this playthrough!  I'll take your advice- though that thread moves so fast that I'm sure in a couple hours that topic will be buried under at least 50 pages O.o;;;

It's nice to see both Solas and Cullen getting so much love.  I hope their popularity means good things for any future content

Ah, I didn't know that. Well I guess it just sucks that there is no option in the Thief guild, I like it best and I think it'd have couple nice characters to romance ^^;

So the Solas thread inspired me to write a little summery for a story I may write. It is late in Ohio so I am rather incoherent at the moment...which will most likely be translated in my summery. So it is rather basic at this moment.

And I really like that summary.  The Solas romance has the potential to be legendary.  It's the stuff of folklore.

Speaking of Calpernia I don't believe this has been the last time we have seen her. PW said during NA's podcast that if Calpernia is as popular with the fans as she is with Bioware then she will be back...O_O

 

That sounds great. Calpernia has been very well received from what I've seen, and deservedly so. I hope they follow through with that, she was one of the most interesting characters in the game. She made a better nemesis figure for the Inquisition than even Corypheus himself, and the option to turn her against Cory and free her at the end left her character in a pretty interesting place they could still work a lot of plot with.

I'm very glad that devs decided to make them LI's.. I can't understand how they first though having one heartbreaking romance where your LI lies to you about himself and then one BDSM one is good decision. I mean I have nothing against their romances but I think they need particular taste for people to enjoy them, they aren't very regular and romantic romances ^^;
