As far as asking how you feel, Cullen does do that when he takes you to the dock on the lake. So he is tapped in to what you are feeling and going through. I have no doubt they discussed it, but it seems like kind of a big thing for your LI to not explicitly mention in game.

Yes that was odd since he was there and might have seen it. It seems none of the romances comment on it so it appears to overlooked for all of them.
Probably thinking "there goes the Inquisitor on another whacky adventure! He/she will be back in about an hour or so, I'm not worried!" ![]()

I'll give him that, Cullen seems to ask how/what the Inquisitor is feeling/thinking more than the others do.

Regarding Bull's romance, Cole allegedly makes a comment during banter about how the inquisitor is in pain during sex but doesn't say anything because he "likes" it. I say "allegedly" because only about five banters fired throughout my entire game.

Lol, that's if you don't give him enough to do... I think it's something to do with the war table quests and how many of his perks you've used.

Yeah, well, all I have to say to that is that there is "pain," pain and PAIN. Which one is Cole talking about?

Also never telling Quizzy the safe word beforehand is also kind of a big nope for me that a huge red flag for me in Dom/Sub realationship. A real person would tell you their rules for being with them before the sex so you know what your getting into not just say I like rough sex.
Also saying, he thinks he knows what best for our Quizzy is also going into controlling a sub which is not what a healthy Dom/Sub realationship is about.

I don't think it helps that a lot of people misunderstand the ins and outs (hur hur) of BDSM, it's not all/always about whips and chains or even hurting each other in the bedroom, so I think a lot of people are assuming Bull beats seven shades of sh*t out of Dorian with a whip or Maker knows what, lol. Plus, if Dorian didn't wanna shag/be in a relationship with Bull then he wouldn't, we all know how stubborn Dorian can be when he doesn't want to do something!
Both of them are big softies really, so I'm sure their relationship is as loving as the pair of them are if romancing the Inquisitor, we just don't get to see that.
... Can't say I'm pleased that they shagged on the war table though, I wanted my Inquisitor and Cullen to be the first to do it!

I honestly don't care about the pain part of the relationship or even whether or not it's any part of it, though I'm not into pain myself. My personal aversion to anyone wanting me to be a submissive or to someone telling me I don't know myself well enough to know what I need is just that, my personal aversion. But I not only have no problems with someone else wanting that in a relationship, I do actually know people who are involved in that community and have talked to them about what makes a healthy relationship and what signals someone you want to be wary of/run from. Someone who says "my way or the highway" is someone to be at least wary of, and that's essentially what IB tells an Inquisitor at the beginning. I haven't actually heard some of the Dorian convos, so I may be letting others' opinion of them color my reaction, though the fact it started out while drunk isn't exactly in favor of it being healthy. OTOH, I'd like to think they're both happy; I do really like both of them.

I've heard that one. Obviously Bull wouldn't do it if the Inquisitor didn't enjoy it.

I put this in the emotionally abusesive category, since he does break it off when said Quizzy when she tells him not to have BDSM sex with her. In fact he also goes on in the same scene if you let him say that he is one that knows what you need. What? Excuse me, sir! No you don't know anything about my sexual desires, I will tell you what I need in this realationship!

Then I'd say that's the fault of his writer for not doing his research before exploring a character that's into BDSM, lol. It's pretty obvious that Bull isn't supposed to be a bad guy, or even abusive so I'm putting it down to lack of understanding.
To be fair, I can see why someone wouldn't want to do research... type that into Google and you get some, er, interesting results, LOL! Still, if you're gonna do something do it right or don't do it at all.

Yeah, those are the two places where Bioware dropped the ball imho when they wrote this romance. If Bull had been 'in character' when he said that it would have been ok, but he clearly wasn't.
Safe word first and let the sub tell you what they want/need. A good dom is one that listens.

I think they tried to implement a better system of NPCs reacting to the PC, and there are some nice moments. I kind of feel as if they ran short of time/word budget to do it properly, however. There are several times NPCs have said something that made little sense to my particular Inquisitor, or they didn't say something that I would have expected.
This is exactly why I want them to devote more of the budget towards the story/character involvement for the next DA rather than the open world feature. I honestly just care more about the intimate player-story relationship than doing a bunch of irrelevant side quests that also use up some of the budget.

Which was the unhealthy bit of THAT romance? The prize or the way poor Shep was reduced to a hooker every time she tried to just talk to Jacob in a non-business like way?
People can talk about how the Inquisition is a hot bed of harassment, but that was true harassment. I did feel sorry for Jacob and pretty much never talked to him after that first really awkward attempt at a convo.
FemShep was cringeworthy when she propositioned Garrus too. Thane's wasn't so bad, but have you listened to how she pesters James into bed drunk? ![]()

I fear that the days of BioWare being character driven is rapidly being replaced with flashy large environments and exploration. Perhaps that's the fault of EA since "open world" seems to be buzzword with this new generation of game consoles.
You know what I'd like to see? Telltale making RPG games, now THAT would truly be character driven!
