I think we will be going back in time. I have gotten rid of most other thoughts on where we may be going or at what time...but I just feel like we are going back into the past.

I think it would be more likely that we would continue to go forward in time at a normal pace but now have some flashbacks to when the elves still had power.

I reaaaaaaally want the option to play someone with an french, spanish, or irish accent. Although I'm pretty sure English will always be the core option.

I'm hoping we'll at least have a more northern sounding accent next game. Doubtful, but it'd be nice.

Depends on your ending. There's a huge potential for it to break right back out in some endings.

ughhhh. I've never really liked that plot line. I hate choosing. Both are equal parts good and bad let's MOVE ON.

Yeah I sigh at the thought of what my Dalish inquisitor would sound like with his proper Welsh accent. Siiiiigh.

Alix is awesome, but I want Eve Myles (Merrill's VA) to voice my Lavellan  :wizard:

Yea. even if you were trying to go for a city elf feel, Summalee's voice is just too low for an elf imo. Perfect for the dwarf/qunari though.

Yeah I am really annoyed they're delving into the elven gods but leaving the human god all "mysterious" and potentially the only "true" god. Smacks of real life proselytizing to me!

True true, but the elven gods, the old gods, the forgotten ones, none of them are seen as the creator by their followers. Its like saying who fathered Zeus, oh Cronos, who mothered him, oh Gaia, who fathered her, who knows? The chain is just a little shorter in DA universe but it's all in real world mythology too

The old elves don't necessitate going back in time except through flashbacks or the Fade. Solas already opened up this possibility with all his talk of sleeping in the old ruins and seeing the past.

Speaking of accents, whatever that accent is that Cullen has is delicious :)

I think the little trip to the future in DAI is preparing us for some more time travel in future games. I just hope its more drastic than a year. Maybe we'll go back to when Solas had hair!! ;)

I don't see it as proselytizing, but as modeling the progression that real world mythologies and deities have taken. First they were more animistic and spirit oriented, then you have the polytheistic pantheons with gods that are more "human" in their desires and motivations and tend to be just as capricious, then you have the monotheistic deities which are always more remote, unknowable and mysterious.

The Old Gods of Tevinter and the Elven Pantheon are on the polytheistic level. They are/were actively involved and interfering in the lives of people.

The Maker is the level past that. He is still capricious however as he has turned his face away from his creation.

Not once have they ever said or alluded to the Maker being the " true God". Just because the elven gods are being delved into doesn't make them any less godly.

It's a bog standard Southern English, with a slight accidental Northern twang on certain words lol.

Well The Maker nearly turned his face away from his creation...until Andraste...you know he sucked her right up into his little sanctuary. Regardless of what Gods we find out are actually Gods I still hope that we don't follow our own reality too much. I mean I adore mythology and the Greek, Roman, and Norse cultures...so I am perfectly content with staying far away from The Maker.

Unless you believe Cory of course and he was just never there. Turning away sounds too similar to the real life construct of original sin. I doubt cory would have tried to fight the maker if s/he had actually been there. And actually since the fade is an elven construct as well, the maker wouldn't be there anyway...

Random topic multiquote time! :D

Seconding! Thirding? And let me just leave a mini-gripe about the search button being the left stick instead of the right. Just let me remap the controls already, pretty please? :D

This is the only problem I had with the controls on console really. No, even the jump button being shared doesn't really bother me, because I'm long used to Context Sensitive Action Buttons. But it bugs me that I have to click the left stick for the search ping, because it's the same one that I use for running. So pinging while running means you have to press down on it while you have it at an angle... not pleasant on the thumbs, to say the least. I was close to having blisters at times. :/

I love that style! And who are those little figures in the background there? It almost looks like Morrigan with little Kieran asking his mum to dance. ^_^

I loved ME3 right up until that stupid, bloody platform came up under my passed out Shep on the Citadel. Then the whole game took a tilt sideways and went way, way south. Nothing about the Starchild made any sense with the rest of the game, and while the expanded ending at least made the game fully playable because it was a sop to the clarity bits, it only doubled down on the lack of logic of the Starchild.

It actually made perfect sense to me :P Keeping in mind it was not a "starchild" as fans like to call it but basically a highly advanced AI that took the form of something Shepard recognized. I loved it, personally ;) It was super duper sci-fi-y.

But I have a feeling this is an argument that won't be resolved so should probably cease

"Starchild" AI aside, I loved

Again a sign of the Maker's capricious nature. He turned his face back to the world for the love of one woman. ;)

And as soon as the world trashed her, he took her away to his special place.

That plot line was one of the things that kept me from ever playing DA2 (though not the only one). It's still a bigger part of DAI than I really like, so yeah, let's move on :P

"Special Place" Again whatever makes you feel better, lol! We all know what happened at the end of that night....The Maker would not had been a saintly being then, the same for Andraste.
