The game horizon looks pretty bleak for the next couple years...no new Elder Scrolls or Fallout in the near future...we've got at least a couple years on ME4.

At least come springtime I think I will be over my "OMG MUST PLAY INQUISITION ALL ZE TIME!" streak so I can go outside and start playing with my new photography toys. I also have like two years worth of RAW files to dig through and finalize...being dry on the game front might not be a bad thing for me lol.

I came to that realization today and I let out a sigh. I think it's because I got nostalgic about Mass Effect again. Don't get me wrong, I love DAI but there are so few sci-fi RPGs out there. I just want to go on another space adventure , with a new crew and travel around the galaxy again. But I know I have a long wait ahead

At least we know DA dlc is coming, can't wait for that!

It's just a shame that Bioware has to bow to EA. One thing we all know about EA is the fact is that they want money as soon as they can get it. So who knows...will they let Bioware take more time to make an amazing game and get a lot of cash later, or will they force Bioware to hurry with everything and then have them take the downfall for what was released just for the sake of a quick buck.

Well I'm hoping they learned their lesson with DAII. But who knows. If they do soil the next DA by doing that, the devs should just call it Dragon Age: EA Strikes Again

Can you imagine DAO remastered with Frostbite.....? I would cry.

I would still cry...every time I had to go through the Deep Roads...again...

Ok, here's what Cullen will say if you bring up what happened with Envy (pick "I hope so"--the middle dialogue option--after he says that the templars are eager to prove themselves)

Spoiler

Wow, you go through something much similar to what he went through in Kinloch Hold, I hope he realises how strong he was to walk away from it too. Maaaaan, I wish Cullen's nemesis quest triggered for pro-templar too. How does he sound when he says that last part? Could it be easily interpreted/head canoned that his feelings for her are coming out?

Very much so...I just really miss not getting one of my favorites scenes, where he wonders about how things could have been different. And pretty much my favorite flirt..."A life without you? Never..."

Heh, as I've said before (I think a thousand times by now :P), I hate what Before The Dawn does to Cullen's characterization, the way he acts and the things he says through it kinda ruin his long-term character growth arc for me. So I'm fine giving that whole quest a miss.

My favorite flirt is the one after the ball. He's so cheeky and adorable at the same time, I can't stand it.

I totally wanted to check into the Inquisitor's bedroom every now and then to find something new to click on, like once you'd consummated the relationship with Cullen you'd find some of his items of clothing strewn across the floor after a night of passion to which she'd make a cheeky little comment about it out loud to herself, or find one of Sera's pranks, or even walk in to find Bull and/or Dorian helping themselves to your personal wine stock, or a gift from Vivienne with some ridiculously fancy outfit that you'd totally never wear because it's ridiculous etc.

Something pointless but a nice touch would be if you could click on the bed and kinda do a "sleep until dawn" thing (like the DA:O mod) where the Inquisitor and his/her love interest could go to bed with each other (leaving it open to interpretation enough to head canon whether they do the freak-nasty before hand or just genuinely go to sleep)

Here's the Sleep Until Dawn mod for anyone wondering:

Completely agree with all of this. And also more scenes in IQ's room in general. I went into her bedroom every single time I came back to skyhold to see if anything would trigger and no one was ever there. So disappointing.

I believe it could be headcanoned that way.  He definitely shows concern and admiration for her inner strength-- and pauses at "it's good to see you are...well".

The was actually a thought I had a few days ago! Do you think they would ever do that? I hear rumors flying around about the MEs being remade for current-gen.

My god, I'd play the arse off DAO until the end of time if they do!

*snip*

My b/f just finished ME:3 for the first time and that got me all nostalgic. Up next for me:

Full DA:O + DA:2 run - believe it or not I've never actually finished a "stay with the Wardens with Alistair" playthrough. I always went with King Alistair's mistress. I'm not sure what race to play...I'm thinking Dalish since I never finished one of those either. Still no idea on what class...combat in that game is so clunky but I do love me some kill-moves that you don't get with ranged combat...

Then a run of ME:2 + ME:3...just to experience dumping Kaidan again to be with my Garrus-boo!

For some reason I really want a option to say to him: "So...you were there as well. First Leliana cut your throat, then you stabbed my clone, later you appeared in a prison cell." Because you know...science.

I don't like the person Cullen becomes through this quest. It's a subjective thing; some people love it, I'm happy leaving it far far away from my canon.

Any idea if there's a clip of it on YT?

I would say yes, definitely. And it does sound like he's comparing what the IQ went through to what he went through, realizing they have something very much in common now. Of course, she doesn't know that...yet...

I'm not sure, but I could record it and upload it to YT if you'd like.

I only done that quest once and it was full of glitches, what precisely is he like?

Seriously. And I thought I played DAO too much as it is! I would literally turn into the brood mother from playing it so much.

Yeah, I get where you're coming from. For me though, I love that part of the story since you get to see inside his head a bit more.

I've wanted to do that too! I got put off going from Kaidan to Garrus because femshep wasn't allowed to tell Kaidan off the same way Manshep could with Ashley. Then gets accused of "cheating" later during her lunch with Kaidan. If there's another (better) way to tell Kaidan it's over in the third game then I may give it a shot. I just don't like femshep not being able to defend herself.

He gets almost desperate while trying to locate and capture Samson...kinda obsesses over the Red Templars. Then after the judgement, there is a scene where he wonders how that could have been him if things had been different. Then he asks the IQ if she ever wonders what her life could have been like if she was never at the Conclave, and you can select "And have a life without you? Never..." And you get one of the best smiles out of him evar:

You kinda actually can tell him off in the hospital scene. He asks about Garrus and accuses her of cheating and she can either be apologetic or defensive. It doesn't break-up his romance, but it shuts him down. Then you can fully break if off when you go out to lunch on the citadel.

Of course, if you're mean to him from the start of the game, the romance won't even re-trigger at all. But I really like telling him off at the hospital so I'm nice to him in the beginning.

*edit* Crudballs, top again. Here's the 1st person perspective from the "Before the Dawn" last cutscene:

Ok, the quality isn't superb, but this is my recording of what Cullen has to say after Therinfal Redoubt:

But I still have to hear "I understand why you cheated" without the ability to respond to it, blergh. I just wanted Ross to interrupt him and yell "YOU WERE ON A BREAK!" XD I'll think about it , besides the ending to ME3 I was irked with femshep's treatment in regards to romance *huggles DAI* can't say that about this game though! Thank you for cullen bioware <3
