I heard it took more than romance-less for that scene to happened? Like he has to be your most commonly used teammate, get his approval and so. But that's just what I gathered. I don't have a female Shepard that is not romancing Garrus
I tried to suffer through one "stay with Kaidan" run...which I messed up because I took all the bitter conversation options in the beginning, which breaks the romance.
She was more lovable in ME3 though, as she really tried to understand Shepard even when she's not agreeing with her/him. But I also love Miranda...and Jack...
Damn male Shepard got too many good choices...

Miranda is my favorite female squadmate in the Mass Effect series, actually. I can understand why someone wouldn't like her, but I always loved the woman. I'd have dropped every romance for her had she been available for FemShep. Her role in Citadel was amazing, too-- the friendship she developed with FemShep ("space divas"!) was the greatest thing

Kaidan was the reason that 90% of my ME2 female Shepard stayed romance-less(which Modin always took it as she had a crush on him 
)
So ME3 first PT of course I went with his romance...After that I change to Garrus. Then a few months later, I think...maybe I was too harsh, I should gave him another chance, so I started a new PT romancing Kaidan, but some major romance scene convo just bother me too much I have to skip most of them, at certain point of the game I just goes "No, this is ridiculous.*Cullen tone", and went back to Garrus never looked back...

How do you roleplay a Lavellan who fell for Cullen? Is there a conversion or do they continue believing in the elven pantheon, for example? I'm curious how to approach it- the dynamics sound interesting, though.

NO Zaeed shall not have Samara for that tragic romance is for a few of my Sheps, lol! That's almost like having Thane's dead wife come back and simply giving him back to her....no...never...

You know...on my Thane romance PT, everytime he said something like "I will be waiting for you across the sea,Siha", all I can think is "Isn't your wife gonna be there as well?" *awkward silence

Well that would certainly make the mood rather somber. I tried not to think about...you know his past too much since I wanted to help him live in the present and move forward into the future.

Haven't noticed any with my Lavellan - but I've only gone up thru the sexy-time scene so far.

Well...um...yes there are a few weird animations. Like the one where they kiss up on the battlements*not the first kiss just when you choose the random kiss option*...well Lavellan's hand kind of goes like...SCARRRRRY straight and rigid. It is kind of odd...her eyes also go a bit derpy, lol!

His romance has a bit Shakespear feel for me...poetic and tragic. And he is very sexy
But their first encounter in ME3 kind of made me laugh. They literately like "We should go somewhere private." *Stand up from chair *Walk to the giant glass window *Start making out and making sex noise against the window

My Trevelyan's eyes/face go into overly attached girlfriend mode as he walks away, it's absolutely hilarious!
Better than "Derp-face-Lavellan". The scene where you go ask if Varric is alright after his scuffle with Cassandra, my IQ goes all "Undertaker" with her eyes...it is rather disturbing.
