It's amazing peace of work for plot bunnies aside, I think making him a companion in a story that has him as a an spy for Corynphus due to his high tolerance for the stuff in my opinion and starts to have doubts about himself because he's falling in love with the Quizzy would be a fun story. He actually goes off the Lyruim, as well.

It did the same thing for me. I ended up having to download the texture files themselves and making my own patch to get it to work.

 

Also, I can't stop playing with flycam tonight, sigh.

 

Still doesn't work for me. I followed all the instructions, created the patch and dropped it where the instructions said to drop it...still no workie, but at least my game runs. I shall live with the nutcracker suite for now!

I've actually been thinking what it would of been like if my Trevelyan never went to the conclave and some other character became the Quizzy but completely failed at it and the Inquisition keeps having to fall back and eventually hits Ostwick... ahh the whole AU romance... lol

Briala was playing both sides, having killed ambassadors for both Celene and Gaspard and forged their documents. At least this is what my IQ deduced and told them. Celene had reduced the guard and explicitly allowed Gaspard to sneak men into the castle for his coup, setting him up for a fall. And, Gaspard was, you know, planning a coup. So they were all in the wrong. It was kinda cool getting to point that out to them.

I agree! I just know that some readers don't appreciate content that makes the story so long. FF.net...is not a good place for testing out the waters, lol.

I know this conversation is past, but FWIW, I was involved in a pretty extensive convo on a forum on ff.n once upon a time on this very question purely in the context of DA fanfic writers and readers. Chapter lengths varied from 1000-2000 words to 10,000 words, with the most "typical" being around the 4000-5000 mark. So go with what fits your story and transitions you well to the next chapter, since every reader will have their own preferences that you can't predict. Myself, I went through a phase early on where I invariably hit 3800 words on my first draft of a chapter; now they typically vary between 3500-5000. 

 

For another random rule of thumb I once read on switching POVs, I guess some canonical wisdom suggests you just make sure you spend at least 1000 words in the new POV before switching away again. Not sure how much I subscribe to this, so ymmv. I almost always switch POVs and I like it as a storytelling device.

LOL I only discovered all that on my latest playthrough as I refused to let the stress of the timer get to me and used the game guide maps extensively. Also, I didn't figure half of that out; my IQ did, and I found out when she explained it them!
