LOL I only discovered all that on my latest playthrough as I refused to let the stress of the timer get to me and used the game guide maps extensively.
Also, I didn't figure half of that out; my IQ did, and I found out when she explained it them!
I did encounter this one for the first time, tho. LMAO! Ah Celene, you crafty girl.

Oh wow! I thought I had gone everywhere... hmmm have to look out for this one next PT! ![]()

Yaaaaa.... I seemed to have missed that red room of pain as well. LOL
Sorry this isn't Cullen related. Just responding to the discussion about the timer during Wicked Eyes.
Don't worry about that timer at all. Save any dirty secrets you find, to turn into Leiliana after every time you've been away. Also if you choose the proper dialogue options during the dance with Florrianne you can be pretty much maxxed afterwards. Remember that being direct and confrontational gains disapproval. Also, being fashionably late when the bell goes for the dance gets you approval as well. I always go in after 2 rings, and that gets 10 approval.
For anyone that would like to have it, here's the dialogue options during the dance that get you the most approval. Spoilered for folks that don't want it uhh spoiled.
I never rush during that quest, and have always finished with 100 approval. And that's as a Dalish mage most of the time, who starts out with 30/100. So save the dirty secrets, and tossing the coins, for after being away, to boost your approval back up. Hope that helps!

Yeah, I didn't even get to use my coins for approval this time. I'm vexed, tho, that we don't have enough halla statues to open everything. So I didn't get all the secrets.
So I just watched a video of Solas' second kiss, hawt damn that is a smexy kiss.
To keep things Culleny:

Yeah, I still can't figure out the deal with the halla. I am certain I picked the same ones as last time but couldn't open the door downstairs I managed to open last time, since Varric was there and I had a convo with him. There is more halla though than the collection quest requires. Also some rooms are just with loot and no secrets I think.Yeah, I didn't even get to use my coins for approval this time. But I don't think you can pick them all up. I dunno. The gameguide says you don't have enough to open all the things. I grabbed every one the gg had on the map and didn't have enough for three(?) of the doors (two treasure vaults in the royal suite, and the the second door you run into off the garden, upstairs; sadly that one leads to one coin and one secret). I hate that you have to choose which doors to leave behind.
edit: OR! I wonder if you have to use them along way to make sure you don't get the ten you need for the quest before you've opened everything? bah.
I decided last night to create a cute wee elfie character in the hopes of romancing Solas....I didn't even get as far as the first rift when it all started jarring on me, she didn't look "right" or sound "right" and everything just felt off
So I deleted her and made yet another human female mage who looks the same (except eye colour etc) as all my other human female characters lol I think I seriously have issues. I just find it so difficult to change who my minds idea of the IQ is and it's annoying me lol. So once again, it looks like I'm setting my new world up pretty much the same as my other three (exactly what happened in my multiple pt's of DAO & DA2 lol) not that I'm complaining about romancing Cullen again, far from it, I really enjoy his romance.
On the up side I have managed to start shuffling my party members about, that in itself is a big step for me and I'm loving it, some of the banters are brilliant, like Bull and Cass having an almost flirt convo, Cass shooting Bull down but telling him he doesn't need to stop trying (I was lol'ing a lot at that one), I like that I still have a lot of these instances to explore. I found a lot of my banters in that last pt were firing just as I was closing a fade rift, I'm happy they are triggering but it seems the timing is a bit weird.
Totally OT but I've ordered my super duper fast, fibre broadband, it should be installed around the 22nd of this month
I think my pc will probably self-destruct with the shock lol I can't wait though, going from 1.2mb to 60mb, I'll be downloading & watching ALL the stuffz ![]()
Going to the supermarket now, need food and all that exciting stuff *grumble* I hate the shops ![]()

I usually have the same difficulty switching up my choices, so I feel your pain.
I'm lucky that somehow I created an elf for my second playthrough that I *love*. Love love love. Every time she's on the screen, I'm pleased. Sadly for Cullen, she may end up being my canon.
LOL This is SO right on.

Going to start PT #4 this afternoon. So far I've had 2 HN Mages romancing Cullen, and one Qunari mage romancing Sera. Now I'm torn between going elf mage and romancing Solas, or rolling my first male character and going for Cass/Dorian. I hate decisions.
R2 whispers, "solas... sooolaaaass...."
So last night I talked on a podcast, drank some wine, and decided to write some smutty Cullen fanfiction (Because box wine apparently has that affect on me)
Figured this was the place to share that. ^.^

I totally understand you , I have a qunari and a dwarf that are level 1 haha
I'm glad to know I'm not the only one who always makes characters that look alike... I have to say I always try to make it look different though, but they always end up all being twins ( at least Cullen seems to like them
). This happens pretty much in every game, guess I'm just wierd like that.
My elf playthrough was totally rushed because it didnt feel right... I guess I linked the britsh voice to my human Quizzie and felt wierd using the same voice for an elf, I looked to the character and it was just a big nope!
About the choices...Idk, maybe if I manage to make a different looking inquisitor I'd be able to try different ones, but since I (and I'm guessing the same happens to you) end up playing pretty much the same character, the logic I use for choices is always the same..so yeah, its always a replay. With my elf I was able to make different choices, thats already something for me.
Slightly random questions, but you guys are nice (and it is related to the Culleny story I've been writing. If I ever finish it to a degree I'm happy with, I'll post it.) I'm struggling to get a sense of time and distance in game, sometimes. How long would it take to travel from Skyhold to Val Royeaux, for example, assuming a fairly steady pace on horseback? How far is Skyhold from the Valley of Sacred Ashes/Haven? Right at the end,
And for Fort Adamant,

Lol. mechanics of game, keeping poor Cullen and quizzy apart.. As player it's very frustrating to keep checking if finally characters have something to say and waiting impatiently when the romance will continue ![]()
Dammit Cullen!!!
Still doesn't work for me. I followed all the instructions, created the patch and dropped it where the instructions said to drop it...still no workie, but at least my game runs. I shall live with the nutcracker suite for now!

About distances: in Asunder, Evangeline mentions a ride from Val Royeaux to Adamant (which is in the Western Approach) being about a week and some change. If you look at the map, Skyhold is a slightly shorter distance to Val Royeaux than the Western Approach, so maybe five-seven days? That also depends on how you're travelling - a comfortable coach trotting leisurely along carrying the Inquisitor would be slower than a steed galloping full speed on forced march.
Skyhold doesn't seem too distant from Haven, but as you mention, the problem would be the mountains. We never see the path the Inquisitor rides down to reach the roads that takes her everywhere, we only see the clip at the beginning with them crossing the snowy mountain tops on foot. Cullen and Josephine do mention clearing a path and buidling a decent road to welcome merchants and ease passage for troops, so there has to be a more convenient way to get to the bottom of the mountain than jumping from the battlements. ![]()
About the time spent in the Fade in the Abyss quest... in Champions of the Just, Envy tells the Inquisitor very clearly that time passes differently in the Fade and in the real world, saying no one will notice it has replaced her because only a mere fraction of a second will have passed in the real world. In Asunder too, certain characters enter the Fade and spend some time lost in there, but when they come back only a few seconds have passed. So, back to Abyss, when the Inquisitor returns from the Fade, only a few moments would have passed. Possibly not enough to even have anyone worried about their absence... had they not fallen down a precipice just seconds ago.
