Being lazy about not making Thedas equal in gender?
I suppose you could say the same thing about mages, slaves, etc.
While I would love for a world to be equal in all aspects*I wish ours was*, I enjoy the feeling of proving people wrong. When a little Dalish elf shows up the world by not being what they expected...well I like the feeling that brings to me.
They triggered alright but still the initial prompt was quite jarring to me. I assumed that my pc wouldn't need to ask what different mosaics depicted in the first place. The follow up was ok I guess.
I figured that it was because they've never really seen them depicted in that way, as most of the Dalish statues or images of their gods tends to be a tad patchwork? Like that poor statue of Ghilain'nan in the first game without a head, or Tamlen's comment in the Dalish Origin that he was just guessing that the statue was of Falon'Din, suggesting that they were unfamiliar enough that he was just guessing?
I'm pretty sure it just happens- Morrigan says something about the Temple of Mythal and the Inquisitor automatically prompts an explanation with "Which is.....?"

Considering said god isn't exactly held in high regard by the dalish, I'm not surprised. Still, I would love to see what a design for them would look like.

Thanks for the encouragement ;w; Funnily enough, when it comes to sketches and WIPs I'm usually torn between wanting to share my expressions of love and not wanting to bother people with my poorly executed linework, LOL. I'll definitely practice more over the next few weeks. Hopefully I'll learn to be more comfortable with smoothing out his facial features. I will do it for you, Cully. I will do the thing. Because I love you so much. so much

TO be honest, I actually really liked the sketch-y quality to it. You really captured him! So I still think it's stunning without "smoothing"... since as a total non-artist, I actually have no idea what I'm talking about.

Interesting, my mage has one of the Mythal tattoos, and my warrior has one of the Dirthamen tattoos. Since I'm considering letting my mage drink from the Well of Sorrows, there's something appropriate about that. (Though I wonder what Cullen will have to say about that.) I kind of wish I could switch my warrior out for Andruil, but oh, well. She's going to romance Solas
I think the Dirthamen tattoos are perfect for a Dalish rogue, though, I need to remember those.
Yea you never know. The inquisitor could be a bad a$$ elf who worships that kind of God!

I am probably super picky but the Andruil one annoyed me, since the bow was obvious. Falon'Din I could forgive. Another thing that left me wanting was elven language. I guess my pc was ticked off that human Morrigan could understand some of the ancient writings but she could not :/
I am beginning to realize how bad I am at painting peoples' faces while sketching Cully's handsome mug. It's my fault for not painting enough over the past few years. I guess my late new year's resolution will be to practice more. Have a scratchy sketch!

Mine was as well, but I think it's a little fitting since Ghilan'nan was considered the "chosen" of Andruil and is the only member of the pantheon to have started as an elf and become a God later on... sound slightly familar to our being the "Herald of Andraste"...
... and especially when you factor in that with the Anchor at our disposal, the Inquisitor could potentially finish what Corypheus started and become a God if they wanted too?

Yeah that bugged me as well, I suppose maybe Morrigan might have studied up on Ancient Elven a little more than the Dalish, but it did seem weird that we weren't able to call her on it earlier... and it's also weird how we don't call attention on both what Nightmare says to Solas in the Fade, nor his lie about what he tells Abelas as he's leaving?
