Best not to encourage it any further now, the moderators will end up giving you a warning or banning you for a while.

Yap. But apparently my ranting here had heated the discussion once again <_<

Before we were just laughing at trololo and oysters & melons.

Thanks! Dang, that isn't even that revealing, at least in those pictures, compared to what female characters routinely get forced into (WoW Burning Crusade armor anyone?) One of the reasons I didn't mind the skirted rogue armor in DAO was both male and female rogues got stuck with the same silly armor.

Yeah, I know. I couldn't find the tumblr post I saw on it today with better pics. But indeed, the skirted rogue armor has a special place in my heart... :D For perhaps obvious reasons.

Character swap. That's Hawke as Cullen. :D Perhaps my fave screenshot I've taken... ever.

I'm out of "Like" again. So LIKE!

But Character Swap can also swap armours? I always thought that since most NPC (Meredith, Cullen, Orsino etc) always have set armour for the whole game they can't be made to wear other things.

And is it possible in DA2 to make normal Cullen wear things other than his templar armour...? :P

For character swaps, you can swap heads and bodies. So that was Hawke with the starter rogue armor from the DA2 prologue outside Lothering, but with Cullen's head mor. For Hawke and almost any NPC, if you can find the asset for its head and body, you can replace those with almost any other asset. So, for normal Cullen, you need to replace the templar knight body with another body. Thing is... you need to know which body is being called. When I replace other folks with Cullen, I use Carver's templar body, but I don't think real Cullen uses that one. SO it's possible with some work.

I've never bothered, since if I want to see Cullen in other armor, I just replace it on another toon.

Oooh thanks a lot! I only know about possibilities of doing "whole body + head" character swap!

Gonna try this sometimes... Having Cullen in comfortable m!Hawke's pyjama or bare chested (at whole gameplay) is... tempting.

LOL Good luck! Just so you know, tho, once you find the heavy templar armor he uses, then every character who wears it will also be changed. Because I think he uses the generic templar armor asset.

Have fun! :)

Since I just watched Ashe's speculation video, I thought I would post on here what I commented.

Perhaps Mythal was killed by a Forgotten One and in order to prevent mass war between both sets of Gods*which would destroy Thedas, the Veil, The Fade, etc*, Solas locked them all away so everyone and everything could be protected. This would change the whole story around of Fen'Harel and paint him as the anti-hero. The Dalish are wrong about a great many things, and I think this is just one more discrepancy they have construed for a false sense of comfort.

Mythal/Flemeth says that she is sorry to Fen'Harel/Solas before she "dies" or becomes petrified. I first have a few thoughts on her present state of Flemeth/Mythal. I think that she may have simply entered a state where she is asleep for a large length of time, until she regains her energy or is somehow awakened.

That is my weaker theory since I don't have as much evidence to support it, but I thought I would share it. Now, onto my theory on why Mythal was apologizing to Fen'Harel before she "departed. We could take it simply as apologizing for leaving Fen'Harel as the last of his kind in Thedas at the moment, we could take it as her apologizing for all the evil tales that are spun about The Dread Wolf, or we could take it as her apologizing for needed someone bounded to her by The Well of Sorrows. If that third idea is true then it could tie into your idea with the Well's "waters" being made up of special composition, which ties into your Darkspawn theory about being subjects of something like the Well's waters.

Perhaps those who originally drink from the Well are pure, but if they fail in the task given to them by the master they are bound to...maybe they become tainted, maybe they become Darkspawn. So we could take her apology for her needing to reactivating an ancient ritual/magic that was perhaps forever barred from use ever again

LOL In Dragon's Dogma I dress one of my male pawns up in a crop top (or no top) and hot pants  And of course my female character is always fully armed to the hilt and looking like a total bad ass xD God bless the Japanese!

EDIT: Whoooa a lot of posts went by! This is in response to the FF male character discussion.

Question, I notice a lot of people call their characters "toons." What is the origin of this word? Does anyone know?

I always side with the Mages and do Cullen's quest, "Before the Dawn." I for one saw The Templars side quest on YouTube. While interesting to see what goes on with Cullen, it just did not seem as "urgent" as "Hushed Whispers." Plus I prefer doing "Before the Dawn." Especially since I ALWAYS romance Cullen.

Anyways, towards the end of the game, you'll get one final dialogue about this quest after judgment. By choosing the romance option it not only gives off an amazing line your female Inquisitor says to Cullen, but also Cullen gives off a smile that is not only delicious but says, "I want to bang you...like now."

Hey, Cullenites.  Does anyone else find Cullen's eyes here mildly amusing?

1zcz6kl.jpg

I also know this is supposed to be an emotional time for Cullen, but I laugh at his expense at this part every time...

...Ok, I'll stop making fun of him now :P.  I just needed to get that out of my system <3

I think "toon" comes from MMOs. That's where I started hearing it anyhow. You can make so many characters and they stick around. I started referring to mine as my "stable."

I always assumed it was shortened from "cartoon" character.

Nah, don't worry. It turned to talking about tea and such... With the occasional rant on gender misrepresentation. Ah, well.. Wouldn't be the BSN otherwise :)
