Yeah because your MMO avatars look like cartoon characters and you have to so many that it's hard to get really attached to any of them as characters. Of the 10+ City of Heroes characters I had, only about 4 had fully fleshed out personalities.

I wouldn't say that's necessarily true. I've been playing LoTRO since 2007 and I can assure you I am very attached to my Cauthrien, who was rightfully named as she is a loyal knight:

She has a fully-fleshed out backstory and everything.

Oh I miss Dop and Flare from CoX very much. They were both as different as you want, and between my husband's top characters, we had our own little mythology going, but most of the rest were just alts.

I liked my Aashi in SWtOR so much that I made a Sims character in honor of her ![]()

I haven't played the Sims in awhile... I should make a Cullen! Oooh... I totally should.

In SWTOR, I had Jedi/Sith twins, Kellyn and Karyn, they had gotten separated as children during an Imperial raid on their home world. Kellyn wound up being a Jedi and Karyn wound up being Sith. I ran the two of them side by side.

Now Sims is a game that's baffled me for ages What's the bloody point of the game? Have never worked that one out. Yet it sells like nothing on earth and is popular if the amount of add-on and squeals are anything to go by.
All this SWTOR talk is ALMOST wanting to make me reinstall it and start playing again
One day maybe.

I don't have the schematics for this on either of my 2 completed PTs for some reason, but I looked in Solas' thread and they say it's Battlemage mail.
Crafted, superior battlemage mail, I think. I seem to recall someone asking about it after the Tumblr post and that was the response. Sorry if this is redundant info R2.

SIMS ... for me SIMS is all about watching how my family grows and changes over time through the generations. How many kids? What will they look like? Whom will they marry? What will they wind up doing? Yes, it's a major time sink, and you have to add your own little mental stories to go along with the families.
Sims 3 changed the character of the game to where I was only running one family, but in Sims 2 I had an entire neighborhood where I went from family to family playing each one for three days at a time, watching them all grow and develop over time. Watching the whole neighborhood intermarry, adding in new Sims on occasion. Randomly deciding which kids went off to college and which ones stayed and went straight to work.
It was hypnotic, but it takes a different kind of mindset to enjoy it.

Did you ever play with dolls and/or a dollhouse as a kid? It's like that, except for an older demographic
.
It also may bring out my more sadistic side...

Well, I love to build impossible houses on SIMS. Just like re-creating Addams' family house. Or the Best Haunted House I can make.

I love the Sims for building epic houses and creating a life for the Sims I produce...which often resulted in death by kitchen fire...I stopped playing after Sim 2, lol!

I also know this is supposed to be an emotional time for Cullen, but I laugh at his expense at this part every time...
...Ok, I'll stop making fun of him now
. I just needed to get that out of my system
Cullen's 'round the clock serious demeanor just makes him a magnet for jokes at his expense.

Case in point. NO REGRETS!

I love The Sims because I go nuts building and decorating the house and lot. I also love it because I can make my own characters (the ones I write) and bring them to life. I make my RP buddy's characters, too, and just go wild with the stories lol

Ah that would go some way to explaining things. And as I'm a guy I can't say that I've ever played with dolls. Closest I got was Transformers and GI Joe action figures. Yes I know I'm showing my age.
Was always more into trains, cars and trucks. Still am so I haven’t really grown up and I’m 40 now. ![]()

And actually, my Sims are my "sacrifice". When I'm angry they'll go swimming & I'll pull the ladders...
I don't have the heart to do this with our family dog or Hamster.

Ok, so I actually am working on Cullen in the Sims, lol... This is what I have so far. Any recommendations? For his personality, I made him family oriented (wanting a big happy family), active, self-assured, and good.

Hmm... I haven't decided yet. With the choices we have in the game, he'd probably do well to be a firefighter. Yeah, I could picture Cullen doing that.
