Hehe, everyone LOVES that forehead touching.
Just asking, does anyone IRL really do forehead touching? I can't. My BF's a head taller than me. His favourite activity is to put his chin on the top of my head. Even in bed he wants to put his chin on the top of my head
My husband and I do that fairly often. It's pretty sweet
Also, one of my favorite first kisses ever started with a forehead touch ![]()
Agree. Stolen Throne made me want to actually recruit him for the first time... if I could actually stand to play DA:O again. And if it would play without crashing on me.
Also, I'm convinced now that he's the illegitimate father of Nate Howe, which makes him even more interesting to me.
I want to read The Stolen Throne. I listened to most of his banters from Origins via youtube and he's definitely an interesting character. I could never bring myself to recruit him because I played a Surana who romanced Alistair on my first run of the game and everything Logain does is against her (or Alistair). From "Of course those filthy Orlesian wardens can't come and help, there's no blight, lalalalala .." to hiring Zevran, being a mage hater (like many other Fereldans, admittedly), selling the alienage elves as slaves, everything at the Landsmeet ... I couldn't do it. Interesting guy though.

yup, it seems to be really sweet ![]()
(now I'm wishing to be 1 foot taller).
In your opinion, do you think Cullen likes hug? I can't imagine whether he's the kind of guy who doesn't like to be touched (this kind of guy exist... sadly), or does he loves hugs. ![]()

I think he definitely likes hugs from his love interest and children. Other than that I think he'd be pretty weirded out if someone hugged him lol.

Well, I don't really think we saw enough to know for sure ... He isn't USED to them, but if it's his special someone I'm willing to venture he does. If the romance scene had played out the way Lola had suggested it should I'd say definitely yes ![]()
Edit for clumsy key pressing.
Also, now I'm thinking about that hug in the chantry ![]()

I'd say he wouldn't be ok with any random person he knows hugging him, but I think he does like to be hugged.
So, when I let my sister play the Sims on my computer, she made a bunch of characters apparently. Now Cullen is chatting up Kida from Atlantis. Is this love at first sight? ![]()
Oh, apparently she's married to Don Lothario. Well, there goes that.
I read the Stolen Throne. It gives him a very different light from DA:O's first portrayal of him. But even in DA:O alone he's not an entirely Villain character, more like a gray area one. A very interesting one, now that I'm listening to all his banters... I actually can sympathize to him.
There's enough in some of the lore to justify Loghain's concerns about Orlesian troops entering Ferelden without the other things. Coming to help a country with the blight has been turned into an invasion at least a couple of times once the blight was defeated.
I just could never trust him enough to recruit him, not just because of Ostagar (and there were options beside what he did such as waiting for Eamon's reinforcements), but for some of the other things he did. I felt certain he directly approved Howe's slaughter of the Couslands to remove them as rivals, as well as the poisoning of Eamon, the Tevinter slavers in the alienage, and trying to assassinate Maric's remaining son, Alistair, etc. However good his reasons to distrust the Orlesians, he literally would have done anything to Ferelden to stop them, imo.
Don is a playboy and a jerk. She would be much better off with Cullen! So, when I let my sister play the Sims on my computer, she made a bunch of characters apparently. Now Cullen is chatting up Kida from Atlantis. Is this love at first sight?

Funnily enough I actually imagined Cullen would be a cat person, or at least equally partial to both cats and dogs. I tend to have the impression that cats are more quiet and reserved while dogs are more playful and excited, and I love both in the same way I love Cullen and Alistair for their differences. My kittens need their space sometimes, just like me. They also sometimes need to be reassured that I still love them, LOL. Precious babies. I think Cullen would rather be near the Inquisitor at all times if he could and that it's their duties keeping them apart, of course, but I feel like he would also appreciate the subtleties of cat love. I know some people think that cats are more aloof than dogs and that they don't love people as much, but I think they just show their love in different ways. I'm not usually the one who gets to feed my cats and yet kitty Phil likes me more than any other member of the household and looks for me whenever she can't find me so she can sleep on me. It's sweet ![]()

I think he likes physical contact - craves it, even, if his hurried and passionate first kiss is any indication. He's careful about appearances and probably prefers to maintain a professional distance in front of others, but I like to think that he rather enjoys it now that he knows what he's been missing all these years.
Cullen strikes me as a very tactile sort of person. He's always doing something with his hands - whether that's resting them on the hilt of his blade, sifting through paperwork, mindlessly rubbing his forehead or his neck, punching bookcases, etc. These are all tactile sensations that are associated with work and duty but also come very naturally to him. Now look at how he swoops in to feel the Inquisitor for the first time during their kiss, how he calms down when the Inquisitor puts her hand on his chest and tells him not to take lyrium, how he looks so relieved when the Inquisitor reaches out to reassure him when he's worried that his withdrawal episode hurt her opinion of him. Touches associated with nothing but the promise of love, companionship, or support, so different from the sensations he's used to experiencing. He's never felt anything like this before emotionally, but it's also why I like to headcanon that he's never felt anything like this before physically, either. At least, not since his childhood horseplaying sessions with his siblings, anyway. Ymmv with that, of course, but either way, I think he likes the touchy. ![]()
He definitely made many mistakes. I think he's just not political material. He's way of handling thing is very military. I really hope he never have to get into politics, it changes him and he really hates it. He originally want nothing to do with Maric, I'm pretty sure he only agreeing to stay at first is because he was in love with Rowan. He even looks happier in Awakening as a Warden. There's enough in some of the lore to justify Loghain's concerns about Orlesian troops entering Ferelden without the other things. I agree! I'll never forget the way he broke Cassandra's (The Sims' Cassandra) heart and left her at the altar in the Sims 2 ![]()

I always marry sims Cassandra to Darren Dreamer
IIRC, I had Cassandra marry Darren too after Don left her at the altar.

Very well put! I am also a fan of Cullen's hands and the way he is always rubbing his neck. All such subtle things in there, and they do seem intentional. The folks who made him loved him too, meethinks!!
Another Cullen thing...does anyone else notice how he walks with his hips jutted out and his chest sorta caved in? i noticed it right away because my first boyfriend used to walk like that. I am pretty sure it is a Cullen specific walk...I don't see any of the other characters move in this way...

That just makes him sexier, imho
Body language can often do a better job of conveying feelings than words. I love cornering my hubby into talking about emotions, only for him to end up frustrated, and going directly for the prize like Cullen does on the battlements ![]()

Do you mean the question mark stance? The female animations have that too... Very graceful, I must say ![]()

Well I didn't do this so much with the Sims 4, but my neighborhoods typically turned into a soap opera full of affairs. I half expected to get a Game Over after all my Sims ended up related to each other ![]()
