I like a nice fragrance. And have my favourites.
, Chanel No5 is a classic for a reason. It's a wonderful parfum. I tend to have a strong sense of smell and good eyesight. It makes up for my bad hearing. lol
Folks tend to automatically assume that Chanel No 5 is for grannies (I used to), but I really think it's because folks haven't had the opportunity to smell the real parfum (the one that costs $400/oz). I can only describe it as earthy and woodsy, but still light and effervescent. It's totally "sexy librarian chic." Nothing like the bubblegum sweet flowery perfumes out there today.
One of my prized possessions is a vintage 1950's bottle I got for Christmas last year. It's opened, so I do wear it on occasion. I have an unopened bottle from the early 90's that I think will stay unopened. I also have a 1950's bottle of Shalimar that is also out of this world. That one can best be described as smoke n' leather, like a dirty 1920's "speakeasy"
Oh and my vision is worse than 20/200, but I can hear freakishly well, so I guess that makes up for it.
