Yeah, I had a relative with Alzheimer's; my whole family worries about having it.

My nanny (grandmother) had Alzheimer's. She wasn't a blood relative of mine, but she was my nanny. That is one of the saddest things I can think of.  :(

There's a really good movie that Patrick Stewart was in called "Safehouse." In it, he is suffering from Alzheimer's. I watched it once, bawled my eyes out, and can never watch it again.

Around here (northeast US) the popular scents are all really sweet, flowery, foodie, bubblegummy-type smells. It's rare that I'll smell any of the "classics" on someone.

It's usually teens that are into those kinds of smells. I prefer more classic, slightly masculine scents or more aromatherapy oil scents... and coconut because I just like the smell of it, lol.

Oh I love coconut!

Even women in their 20's, 30's, and up wear that sweet flowery stuff around here. You can always tell what's popular based on what selection department and fragrance stores have. Guess it's a regional thing...

I can't even tell what they smell like because I'm allergic to most of the cheap stuff. My nose stuffs up within seconds (and I swear the kids here bathe in it).

Coconut reminds me of my grandmother (in the best possible way). She used to use coconut oil as part of her moisturizing regimen, I think. Not sure I can pull it off. I don't have a lot of experience with scents, personally, but It's fun. The drydown is always really tricky. Some scents completely disappear, some turn into soap smell. I just don't know where to go sometimes ...

Meh, I knew they had changed it. It kinda makes sense though, since telling us that we were going to the future would have spoiled a massive bit of that plot.

Fortifies my intent to not closely follow ME4 development. Only disappointment awaits at the end of that long road!

I guess the question is was it changed, or did the dev quoted get it wrong? I understand them keeping the time travel thing secret, but I wonder what made them decide to have it be Leliana that's captured every time etc.

It's hard for me to express how much DAI disappointed me. So yeah I'm intensely pessimistic about ME4.

They probably did her first, ran out of time, and said "fcuk it" LOL

If you side with the Templars, how much of the Cullen romance do you lose?

I think I can only replay this game one more time (meh, shame. 18 or so Origin runs, 6 or so DA2 runs and I'm somewhat struggling to replay DAI just one more time after my first run, lol), and I sided with the mages the first time. I'm 99% sure I want to side with the Templars this time, but I also want to romance Cullen.

Do I lose anything else other than the quest?

I wonder if the original version (of it ever really existed) was fully voiced by the other advisors? I'd be interested to find out, some smart arse would be able to datamine the audio from it.

If there was ever an option to choose advisors for that mission, I'd say that it was time constraints if anything. Or they simply thought it too diverging to have it differ between the three. That said, I think they made the right choice with sticking with Leliana and doing time travel. That was a very good chance for some characterization for her.

I'm not disappointed at all with what they chose to do in that instance.

He's less angsty if you go pro-templar because you've saved a large bulk of them by recruiting them into the Inquisition, so Samson essentially fails and Calpernia is Corypheus' commander instead.

It's also possible that it never got off of paper during the quest's inception.

Gosh, hope so! It'd make an awesome mod. Imagine being able to encounter Cullen in that situation? Only problem would be there's no corresponding body and face for red-lyriumed Cullen (unless it's in the templar playthrough, which I haven't done).

Would've worked just as well with Cullen, perhaps not Josephine. Well, why not?! Maybe we'd get to see her put some of that bard training into practice here.

Missed opportunity, like so many other things in this game.

You only lose the Before The Dawn stuff. The rest is intact, and he does express thankfulness for saving the Templars later in the story.

I don't mind the time travel thing, though I would've liked to have seen what became of Josie and Cullen if sent in instead, even if it was via notes or a small cutscene of them in their future state etc.

At this point, I really don't want to dwell on "what might have been". The amount of negativity floating around in the past few weeks has been very tiring.
