So I walked outside today so I could my daily run...and I end up running back inside! Too cold...ugh I hate the cold, especially when it is in the negatives!

 

The low was 22 today... in Louisiana!!!!   People were freaking lol

Sorry, I was talking about the possibility of Cullen's race gating being removed, not the gender gating. I'm cheering on the modders for removing the gender gating on Cullen and Solas both, believe me, but my favorite race to play is a dwarf, and I'm personally very lukewarm at best on the current LI options for a female dwarf. I was just commenting that the amount of work required to make his romance work for a dwarf or qunari is probably much more than any modder is going to be willing to do, while Cass is already adjusted for dwarf and qunari heights. So, to my mind, she's the only one I can reasonably hope for.

 

Yeah that sucks. Like, seriously sucks. Although what you might end up with is simply his head or your head being cut off during cut scenes. I believe the models would still look at one another and interact, but the camera might not follow the scene properly (since it's set for a human/elf woman's head height).

 

So, I don't know. I wouldn't give up hope just yet. In any case, before we start wondering about who we might be able to romance Cullen with, we should probably wait until they're actually able to add, like, hair and eyebrows into the game lol

Yeah, we know that Red Lyrium has the Blight, but we only ever seem to see male Red Templars? It makes me wonder what's happened to the women or if they might ended up becoming something similar to Broodmothers. Given the weird and wacky experiments Corypheus, Samson and Imshael were conducting on Red Lyrium... yeah... that does seem like something they'd cook up?

I'm no modder either, but I wouldn't thinking making Cullen available to male elves and humans would be too difficult? I mean due to height differences. Now as to whether it's easy or extremely hard or nigh impossible to be able to manipulate cut scenes in FB3 (no matter the situation), I'm sure only a modder would know!

 

But hearing people are working on Cass f/f is encouraging imo, not just for me, who hopes for m/m Cullen, but for adding in all sorts of scenes, non-romance scenes, too.

 

Have you seen the Cullen Romance spoilers yet or not?

 

Well... From what I've seen, Cullen's already adjusted to both Human & elf height. Between human & elf, female & male = not much height difference from what I've seen. Maybe some clipping problem during hugs & that special night scene, but other than that I don't recall any scenes that might be too affected.

 

However, Cullen - Qunari & Cullen - Dwarf will be... wow. That's huge work I guess...

We need more hair and eyebrows...like now, lol! I am willing to bet that hair and eyebrows will come with a mirror of transformation as some kind of pack or something. However, Xbone has exclusivity to DA:I's DLC.

They found dialogue recorded, but it was never implemented because they ran out of time or they figured it would go against the past interpretations of Cullen's character. There was never any scenes or anything like that.

Yeah, true, about dwarves and qunari. But I think those fans would be happy with even some serious clipping if they could just play through the romance. Hey I had to deal with Fenris making out with Hawke's neck (not as hot as it sounds lol) in the VANILLA game lol Did they ever fix that??

Honestly, I don't think they will give us any hair or CC updates. I think they might give a mirror of transformation type deal. Maybe.

See, that's what I mean about following the game's development too closely. Cause I was REALLY looking forward to that stuff. I mean I was sure everything I did was going to come back to bite me on the ass. But nothing did, nothing at all! And yeah, seems only the mage/templar thing has actual results, and all that does it give you different quests... doesn't really affect characters or the story.

 

Yea, following any game's development closely is sort of a "Follow at your own risk" because not only do things change all the time, things are often misunderstood and misconstrued because Devs are limited in what they can say. I think overall it is better I didn't really follow the development of DAI very closely. I didn't even know who the romance choices were going in. So everything was completely fresh for me.
