Yes! It's very in depth... I think the requirement is 11-14 pages in length. And thank you so so much!

An old templar, her bones brittle, her hair grey and long past its glory.  Walking through the forest, the smell of leaves and grass and moss.  Something stirs and she remembers his face.  Only for a moment. She blushes, and touches her cheeks in wonder.  Then it is gone.  The light in the forest casts long shadows, and her feet follow those darkened lines, searching for home....

:(

Is that a line from the game? If so, where?

When I was in undergrad that meant I wrote a 10 page paper + Works Cited page

Nope, IIRC the discussion was about an in-game video where a romanced Templar-spec Inquisitor had a discussion with Cullen about being a Templar, taking Lyrium will cause memory loss & disorientation a few decades later.

These memories ideas are interesting. As far as cataloguing the thread, a lot of that is already in the OP, altho I haven't updated that part in a while.

What is the format? Must it be fanfic, artwork, video etc or regular screenshots can work too? Because well, say it like this, not everyone can draw/write/make videos...

And if we're going to do something big better start now

Don't worry, we do milestone celebrations a lot in this thread... us veterans are old hands at it now, LOL!

No...just wrote it on the fly after watching Cullen's reaction to his Templar quizzie.  It made me sad ad this image just popped in my head...

That's it. I here declare Dragon/Donkey is my OTP along with Dorian/Mustache.

Too bad they don't fly and breath fire like in the movie...think how cool it would be if they do!

Dracolisks will be the new Griffins!

Perhaps the crossbreeding experiment should continue, Griffins + Dracolisks to create a "true" Dronkey?!

Yeah, the person who reversed this is on the BSN as Sashimi_taco, seen her a few times in the Solas thread.

Not sure if this has been asked, but do you guys think everyone joined inquisition is getting paid? They must paid soldiers and staffs. We already know Bull and his men get paid quite well. But the rest of your companions I'm not sure. Varric and Vivienne probably don't care, Cole doesn't get the concept of money, and Solas...I just assume he summons everything out of thin air, Sera might just take whatever, just curious if Blackwall and Dorian are getting paid since they look like they might need it.

I also get the feeling that inquisitor's personal expense mostly come from collecting and selling junks everywhere they went...

In my first playthrough, this was driving me up (and through) the wall trying to figure how to get to the Quizquisition guy...

How did he get inside the Vault when there was no door? That's the question he should have asked us?!

Omg, I feel so bad. I had made a warrior and got to choosing a specialization and went to Cullen on advice about being a templar and boy... I very nearly cried at his response. Not doing that again!

In the 4K celebration we can also post screenies. I just wonder whether now we'll upgrade the standard to original work or if screenshots accepted :)

Why am I not surprised that the whole Solas thread is very well versed in the Fade & Elven Lores?

Do we discuss about Lyrium & Templars more than any other threads?

And YESSSS Dronkey for DA4!!!

Not to go in a completely unrelated direction, but has anyone else been amused by listening to the scout and the noble standing in front of the stables in Haven?

There's that heartbreaking video about Templars use of Lyrium & memories... a few pages back... But apparently the person is already commit to the specialization...

Hmm, I thought you were around for the last one?  If not, go check out the previous milestone celebrations. They can be anything. Fic, recipes, limericks, photomanips, art, dialogue, whatever. So long as it's Culleny. It also doesn't have to conform to the prompt, it's just for inspiration.

From what I'm hearing... I'm thinking all the ideas fit into a "Thanks for the memories" theme, which is fitting now that DA:I is finally out (fanfare, please!). That can mean anything from our freaky deaky templar memory discussion, your fave memory from the game, your thoughts on where the story goes from here, your fave memory from being a cullen fan, whatever. I'm liking this. It works.

I've kinda started to ship them.

No but really, the more I listen to that poncy noble/sassy commoner dynamic of theirs, the cuter they get. My favorite of their banters is the one where he admits that for all his nose-upturning, his station is actually so low that it means as much back home as it does there in the stables.

I like it. The concept of memories can be a happy prompt as easily as an angsty one, so everyone can work with it. And it's an open enough theme that non-ficcers and non-artists can participate with discussion, headcanons, game memories etc too.

Ah, here we go. So, there's this organization of scholars who study just this topic. Digital Games Research Association

How did I hear about them? News item on how they were targeted by gamergate.

:P  I was laughing because the latest conversation I overheard involved her saying something about showing him some real fancy riding, or words to that effect, and it was definitely flirty...
