My question is how are things not getting all mixed up together in Solas' head.
Spoiler
He probably uses them to power himself up a bit, after his prolonged slumber, but does not necessarily acquire their identities (if that makes sense).

I just started an elf that uses Sumalee's voice and it totally fits her. I have another elf that uses AWR's and that one suits her. My next Qunari is going to use AWR's voice.
I have a dwarven rogue with AWR's voice because it fits her personality better (I'm giving her a backstory as having been trained to be the Carta's contact with wealthy merchants, etc.,) but after listening to the clips, I've decided my elven rogue will get Sumalee's.
The thing is with me is I never been a fan of short hair, to me it is unattractive. I can deal with the clipping over let's say a person getting their hair buzzed because they got drunk and past out on the bathroom floor.
The hair I use in my pic is tolerable unlike the other hairstyles. Sides Lara Croft has long Hair. You don't see Edios giving her a shave just because there maybe clipping issues.
Oh don't get me wrong, I like long hair. My hair irl is down to my lower back.
BUT, I'm all for "realism" in these types of games. A warrior can't really have long flowing hair, unless it's tied up. Two of my warriors have chopped hair for practicality. I have other characters (including Raven) that use the hair that is shaved on the side with the braid. The way I see it in my head is that it is shaved on both sides with a long flowing length (like a super long mohawk). For practicality, they keep the length tied and tucked into the neckline of their armor.
Hair clipping wouldn't bother me at all, to be honest. There's plenty of clipping in the game already, but the only clipping that's bothered me so far is the Halamshiral balcony scene with Solas if you choose to just hang out alone with him instead of dancing. That was a mess, which is too bad because it would have been so romantic otherwise...*sigh*
I'm pretty much only using one hair style right now so I'm totally looking forward to the mods.

Same here, my current playthrough is a Cullen-romancing mage elf with Sumalee's voice and it totally suits her.
Wow. My mom has a deeper voice like that and she has two doctoral degrees. So thanks for the crappy generalization.I can't bring myself to play through the game using the American accent... The voice actress is good, her huskier voice is appropriate for intimidation. But, it sounds like it belongs to a rough, uneducated person - certainly not a noblewoman...
Thing is, the game clips to buggery anyway so I'm not sure why giving long hair bothers them so much anyway, lol.
No kidding! My warrior's arm spends most of its time in cutscenes merged with her warhorn ![]()

short hairs/updo's can still be somewhat "attractive" here is what i did so far in that regard

Teshayel did apologize and restate her criticism more constructively.

That makes sense. It would be a real shame if Mythal was lost forever though, if there had been no opportunity to pass on that fragment of herself. I'm still not really sure what to make of the old god soul because there didn't seem to be a personality associated with that one.
I dunno warriors like,Wonder Woman and Red Sonia had hair that went past their shoulder and never was tied.
I have my hair down to my butt. Don't' ever cut your hair!
I would hardly quote these as "realism." ![]()
Can you imagine bashing around with a sword and shield, or even whirling around with dual-daggers and having hair get all up in your eyes (not to mention all the gutsies getting in it...ewww)? My hair positively infuriates me at times just doing housework! Up it goes!

Realistically, long hair and helmets are a poor combination, unless the hair is braided into a crown that helps pad the helmet. But if you use hairpins, you risk having them jammed into your scalp by a blow. Very short hair is most practical (especially when you consider how sweaty it gets in one of those helms. And can be very attractive done right. I personally have no problem with even a buzz cut on a woman; I'm just bothered by the very limited number of styles they gave us that are anything else (and don't involve sideburns, etc.)
I actually find it entertaining how outspoken people are about long hair currently. Ten years ago, the fashion was very short hair, and I continually had people comment negatively on my long hair which I keep in a braid for purely practical reasons. It wasn't feminine. It's not as long now just because I'm aging and it doesn't grow nearly as fast.
LOL! I never wear my hair up. It bothers me more up then down.. Sides wearing it up gives me a migraine.
Most of the time I keep it down, even in the summer (unless it's really hot and sticky). Without question, my hair needs to go up if I'm doing dishes, or driving the convertible (my my what a mess that was the one time I didn't put my hair up).

This is why I have the persistent gore turned off. It is convenient to be able to tie up your long hair. Sadly I've never really been a fan of the pony tails they give us in the DA games.
*snip*

Yep, in style now is long hair for women and full beards (neatly manscaped - not Duck Dynasty style) for guys.

Oh no, pony tails = bad juju for me! I won't even wear them irl! It's all about the braids and buns...

I have quite a long hair as well but usually keep it tied up lol cause in rl it kinda bothers me... the only time let it down is when i go out and then i use it as a curtain to hide my face... cause.. i don't like ppl looking at me lol... im weird like that but in games, personally i don't give a frak about realism LET THOSE LOKS FLOW DAMMIT ![]()
So finally made it to the part in my new play through where I have Warden Alistair hanging out on the balcony and I did the 16 hr quest where contacted his romanced warden BEFORE we go to Adamant. He mentions the letter she sent him in reply and says "Maker's breathe...I miss that women." It is my new favorite Alistair line of all time!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
TOTALLY WORTH the 40+ hours it took me to get that line!!!!!!
Now...off to make Cullen blush some more...

I'm currently doing the PT to get to that. Still really far behind though. THE SUSPENSE IS KILLING ME.

Oh I can totally see why people want those long hairs in game. I just personally like to try for some sort of "realism." If we could find a way to have braided up long hair in-battle and then let it down while in Skyhold I would be all about it.
