My question is, why would he consider Corypheus a good person to lend it to? I expect his next move will by to try and hunt down someone else's orb and use that for whatever he was planning to, since he probably has enough "juice" now.

I guess because he doesn't see things as inherently "good" or "evil", so despite how Corypheus looks he likely didn't judge him on his physical appearance, especially if Corypheus fooled him into thinking he wanted to help... and that's if Corypheus even approached him in his true form, he may have been body jumping at the time.

Plus, we don't know how much Solas knows about Darkspawn, the corrupted old god dragons, etc. I suspect he knows how they originated (particularly if it was indeed the fault of his people, like some of the theories suggest) so his reason for giving Corypheus the orb may in part be due to his own guilt for his/his peoples behaviour. Hell, for all we know he may have known Cory personally before he became corrupted.

LOL! I never wear my hair up. It bothers me more up then down.. Sides wearing it up gives me a migraine.

Yeah, if I haven't worn mine up for a while it can be a little uncomfortable, it's true.

I have my hair down to my butt. Don't' ever cut your hair! :D

How do you avoid sitting on it?  I'd be doing that all the time. lol

I think one of my pet peeves is being hugged and not being able to move my head around until someone lets go.

Okay... Corypheus's voice has seemed so familiar to me, and I just realized he sounds like Emperor Uriel Septim from the beginning of The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion. Does anyone know if it's really the same guy, or just someone with a similar voice?

Uriel Septim was voiced by Patrick Stewart. Coryphifish is voiced by David Sterne.

I think it sounds familiar because it kinda sounds (at least to me) like Stephane Cornicard who is voicing Stroud.

At the very least, he knew Corypheus was blighted. Do you think he was awake when those magisters crashed the golden city? I wonder what he really thinks about the blight. I would have liked the opportunity to ask him about it. He sure doesn't seem to like the wardens either and I'm not positive that it's only because of how things went down in the adamant quest.

Sorry, just catching up in the thread and wanted to comment on the voice stuff...

I talk like an absolute hillbilly (pure 'Apple-lachun').  I can fake a midwestern all-American voice, having lived here for a decade, but it is just not me. I can even do an OK Irish accent because most of my close friends are from Ireland (they would likely disagree ). But I generally talk like I'm fresh outta the woods.

My students love it, the audiences at professional conferences love it, and my boyfriend loves it.  Because it is generally associated with being uneducated, and they are always a little shocked that someone with my level of education and experience refuses to put on a fake accent to sound smarter.  I kind of enjoy it ;)

I'm currently doing the PT to get to that. Still really far behind though. THE SUSPENSE IS KILLING ME.

Knowing how much you love Alistair, I think you will be SUPER happy!  He says more than that... ;)

He seems to get very upset about the Warden's killing the corrupted old gods and isn't pleased if you recruit the Warden's into the Inquisition so I think he's well aware of what's going on. I dunno if he would have been awake or not since I tend to forget the timeline for all the events, but I do reckon he knows what the Black City is/was originally etc.

I just started an elf that uses Sumalee's voice and it totally fits her. I have another elf that uses AWR's and that one suits her. My next Qunari is going to use AWR's voice.

Just a heads up, unless they fixed it in the patch if you don't use the American voice for the Qunari, it will revert back to it once you start talking to Hawke at Skyhold.

I hope we really get to grill him about things in the DLC. I definitely want to be able to confront him with my Lavellan about the "we'll talk about this after ..." dialogue.

Oh, I posted that video...it's "A Thousand Years"

Ah cool that does fit :) I can't see youtube at work so I couldn't tell earlier :)

About the "why would Solas give his orb to Cory" discussion... my guess is Solas figured Cory would be able to unlock it, but in doing so would die from the resulting blast. It never occurred to him Cory might live through it (he expresses his confusion about that pretty early in the game). So basically, it was accomplish his goal and take out an evil entity. All around win. That's just my interpretation though :)

Oh I can totally see why people want those long hairs in game. I just personally like to try for some sort of "realism." If we could find a way to have braided up long hair in-battle and then let it down while in Skyhold I would be all about it.

well the last part you mentioned about letting it down in skyhold and keeping it up in battle  is not possible at least not form a modder's stand point unless u have a mirror of transformation ala DA2 and keep going back and forth to change ur hair

the way we see hair assets as of right now is that they are linked to you through out the whole game once u made the changes in the cc but as i said if there will be a mirror of transformation u can certainly change ur hairstyle if u wish but automatically doing that is not possible as it requires scrips/coding and acknowledgement of the engine itself to determine such changes

That's so good to hear. I was really disappointed with how little dialogue there was as king. Is it worth it to do the ball and the find the warden quest first?

Aw man I was excited for a second. Oh well. He did an amazing job regardless.

Ooooh, I hadn't considered that possibility! Do you have his direct quote where he mentions his confusion at Corypheus surviving the blast?

The voice bug was fixed in the second patch. It can't be fixed retroactively on old playthroughs where it already bugged out, but in any playthrough started after the patch rolled out you can use the British voice on qunari/dwarves and the American voice on elves/humans and have a custom Hawke, and the voice won't revert anymore.

To my knowledge that only happens if you don't use the default Hawke. I had no probs with the human voice reverting since I just picked the standard Hawke. I was never really attached to my Hawkes so I didn't really customize them in this game.

*edit* Sweet, it's fixed then.

According to the patch notes this was fixed in patch 2 so it should be fine.

Ok guys, here's the resolution scene at Halamshiral. I think Sumalee does a smashing job...and she still gets some snark in there. To me this is the ultimate PWN ALL ending:

Ugh, I just woke up from a nap so I'm a little out of it. However, I will go search for what he says or I will simply reply that part.

I love the way the IQ circles the duchess, that was such a good animation choice and while I have yet to have Sumalee's voice make it that far...it sounds pretty cool. I still love how Alix sounds whenever the IQ says that snarky response.

I haven't managed to get that resolution yet, so it was cool to see it. I have to say that those uniform recolours look extra sharp in motion though.

The best part of exposing Florianne, instead of fighting and killing her, is her judgement later. You can give her two hilarious fates

and you can even recruit her into the Inquisition with the Noble perk, getting some war table missions that are pretty cool to roleplay as a noble IQ who enjoys playing the Game and gambling with high stakes.
