Your quizzie is so naughty lol

And I just realised who you are...I have the tendency of not recognising people if they change profile picture...

Yes, yes she is :P.  And this is her, my newest and naughty quizzie ;).  I change my profile picture sometimes when I make a new quizzie that I really like.

11jbry8.jpg

Are you far into the game yet? You can pace yourself out for a bit, clear out some maps to get some sense of time passing by, then go back and start Cullen's personal quest for that feeling of slowly growing closer but not quite there yet. You can spin it out as your IQ having felt a little lost and gone through a series of false starts, then taking some time to be by herself and appreciate her own company, then finally slowly growing closer to Cullen as they go through his issues together until she starts to have feelings for him - surprising feelings, a growing familiarity between them that comes out of the left field, something she wasn't expecting to find in her war advisor as much as much he wasn't expecting to find in his Inquisitor.

With enough roleplaying, anything can be salvaged into a Cullen happy ending. ;)

Oooh, I like that.  I was going to pace his romance for after his personal quest, anyway, after reading your excellent headcanon.  I'm not far in the game, so this will work for me.  I sided with the mages so I also have Before the Dawn to pace out their interactions a bit too.  I think I'll do Before the Dawn first, then Adament fortress, then his personal lyrium quest... that should give them plenty of pacing along with some exploring.  Thank you!

So can you kiss Solas the once in the fade and still romance Cullen?

Yes, apparently.  I hit the "broken heart" option with Solas after their first Fade kiss, saying that it would be better if they were just friends.  She had agreed with Solas that pursuing anything after that kiss may be a bad idea (since he seemed really hesitant about it all right after).  So, it's possible to romance Cullen after that.  I just hit a bug that caused Solas to bring up the kiss again after his personal quest, but it didn't set his romance flag so everything is all messed up lol.

*unlurks* So... I have been following this thread for several hundred pages, and now I guess I can finally contribute something? I love this thread, heh :3

Have a small painting of Cullen and my Lavellan:

It's a little rough, but... I loved that ending scene so much <3

I spend like...so many hours in CC, if you give me some guidance I think I would get it? Lol
Did you used head 5? I mostly have trouble with which eyes and mouth to use. Also the position of eyes

Ok, I just re-made her pretty quickly. With my workflow in the CC, it doesn't matter what head you start with because they all end up in the same place. The first thing I do is pick the face shape I want and then set everything to dead-center (jaw/cheeks/forehead/lips/eyes). Then I'll pick what style lips/eyes/etc I want. So for Raven I have:

  • Face Shape - far right
  • Eyes - 2nd
  • Nose - 1st
  • Mouth - 1st

Then you can tweak all the stuff around once you have the pieces picked out.

Yes I love how awkward they both are in that scene. I took his sad face as his guilt for almost letting her die in Haven when it's his job as Commander to make sure as many people make it out as possible; she was responsible for her own survival no thanks to him. (Also he realizes at this point he has some feelings for her as well so double guilt). And I agree that she walks away (awkwardly) because she doesn't want to embarrass herself or him anymore.

I think Cullen's writer said something about how in her head-cannon, when he finds her in the snow that he realizes his feelings for femQuizzie. So the awkwardness of that scene makes sense. One of the best scenes in his romance IMO.

I finished my Cullenmance last night! Very sweet. A nice, normal relationship, and drama free.

Back to the grind now. I won't have the time to finish my Solasmance for a while. Ugh!

Wow. My mom has a deeper voice like that and she has two doctoral degrees. So thanks for the crappy generalization.

Sorry, I meant no offence :)

If it makes you feel better, I have a doctoral degree as well, a foreign accent, and higher-pitched voice. I cringe every time I hear myself recorded on a video, and am very self-conscious whenever I have to make presentations. I would love to have a deeper, more pleasant voice, but there you have it :)

As Tishina mentioned, I better explained myself in a further post :) Hope you understand :)

Blackwall is just getting more and more awesome, at this rate I might actually romance him with a qunari so Cullen can't hijack it.

I love where he ask Solas if he had been "more than friends" with spirits, and ends up with Solas call him "ass". They are both so adorable in that scene.

Spoiler

Yes, that's a great line! I heard it in the Fallow Mire yesterday.

I really wanted to take a small brake from the game, 1 day had to suffice ^_^ I wanted to finally play a qunari girl (so excited!), so it's decided, I am rolling qunari warrior and go for either Blackwall or Sera, I cannot decide. I love my QunGirl already, she's so badass and vulnerable at the same time.

LOL! If you pick the necromancer specialisation as a mage Blackwall thinks you're shagging dead corpses!

I'm not surprised :D Did you get the banter between him and Solas on banging spirits? I was like: "Blackwall, you filthy man!" :D

I took Cass with me on my first playthrough most of the time, but I think Blackwall will be my tank of choice my second time around. And flirting with him gives some really funny replies as well :) He's pretty cool :)

I can't bring myself to play through the game using the American accent... The voice actress is good, her huskier voice is appropriate for intimidation. But, it sounds like it belongs to a rough, uneducated person - certainly not a noblewoman... :)

I find that the American accent sounds rather strange on humans and elves--especially elves. I saw a YouTube video using the American voice for a Dalish elf--the weight of the voice just doesn't fit the daintiness of elves. It sounds perfect on qunari ladies or dwarves though. The feel of the American voice seems best for characters made of sturdier stock. (As Sera would say "not as in fat," so no accusations please! )

She looks absolutely great! And I am seconding the "romance Blackwall" idea. He's probably my favorite romance overall.

omg, does he really? I haven't heard that one.

Hmm, if Boom helps me figure out how to create Morticia Trevelyan, the necromancer, I may not  want him in my party. That's a banter I think I could pass on

My Dalish warrior and Cass are almost always in the party together because they're so much alike. But after having Blackwall in the Fallow Marshes for a bit yesterday, I've decided he needs to tank for my Dalish mage. I'm starting to think Blackwall, Cole and Dorian, maybe.

Thanks for the tip guys! I love how tall she is, it really cracks me up when she's looking down on everyone. It almost feels like they exaggerate it in cutscenes.

That might be their response to the complaints about the shrinking women in cut scenes and romances. I was a bit annoyed when my Dalish warrior was suddenly Morrigan's height when they kissed.

I agree, and I think the in-game lore also states the American accent in Thedas has its roots in Dwarven culture as well? I also use the non-American voice for my (predominantly human/elven) chars, if only because I speak with an American accent but not with the same gritty strength of the American voice in Inquisition. I chose the non-American voice because it is slightly closer to how I sound in real life in terms of vocal timbre, so I felt more connected to it. But the voice actress for the American accent is still very talented, of course - sometimes I find I actually like her delivery of certain lines more depending on the situation.

I can see that. I just prefer to assign the voice based on personality rather than race. As much as I love AWR's voice, she just isn't convincing as an aggressive BAMF inquisitor. And Sumalee doesn't fit my dwarven rogue who is very diplomatic and soft spoken.

Can you imagine if we also had the option of choosing the VA who voiced Bianca? That would had been so freaking amazing...fun fact...she also voices Dagna, so she has a pretty amazing range.

Am I the only one that totally wanted to throw dirt in Bianca's face?

Agreed, I go for each Quizzie's personality too, rather than race. I've no issue giving my elves or humans the American voice, or giving my dwarves or qunari the British voice, if it fits their character. I liked how in DA2 you could give your various Hawkes completely different personalities just with the tone of your lines because both actors had such a good grasp of the different tones, but to be able to change the whole voice set at will to fit a certain personality you wanna roleplay like this or like that is even better.

So because I'm completely addicted to the CC and folks say that everybody should role a Qunari mage at least once, here is Shiraz Adaar:

This is what I'm running into now.  I used Sumalee's voice for my first playthrough as a human rogue so it's my "canon".  Right now on my third playthrough as a human mage, I'm using Alex for the first time and it's honestly freaking me out a little.  Not because it's bad, it's just so different how you perceive your character and their traits.  I'm still a little mind blown.

Ooooh, I hadn't considered that possibility! Do you have his direct quote where he mentions his confusion at Corypheus surviving the blast?

I sadly do not, it's been awhile. Though I'll be starting my next playthrough *soon* and I'll make sure to grab it. IIRC the conversation happens in Haven and he says something about how some sort of ancient powerful artifact must have been used to cause the breach, and then he goes on to say something about how surprised he is the one who did it could have survived. The Inquisitor questions him on how he knows whoever did it survived to which he replies the artifact was nowhere to be found up there and he doubted it would be possible to destroy an artifact which could do all that.
