Has anyone managed to actually view Cullen (have a mission done open) at the war table when Leliana teases him about his relationship with Inquisitor? I wonder if the animation changes or is left default.

I have several times. She teases him about anxious to get there quickly in anticipation of seeing you. I usually get after the Ball or Adamant.
oh that bites on the helmet, I finally actually wanted to see it,lol

Yes that part (if you go into war table room enough you can get it before the Ball and Wardens). I wonder if anyone actually managed to see his face (due to good timing) when that dialogue occurs and if it changes from the default him picking the notes.

Cullen in slippers! Love it!
Lol that was one of the first things I noticed in that picture
Glad to see him take them huge clunking boots off once in a whiley lol That's the one bonus of our Quizzys casual attire, at least they strip out of their battle gear and into something a little bit more comfortable while off duty ![]()
I was running around Haven yesterday on a new character, collecting my iron and logging site etc, cut down and jumped off the little pier onto the ice, I was running for land and for the first time ever in any of my games, Cullen was walking back up from the waters edge, I was able to talk to him as normal but I've never encountered him down there before, it was pretty cool
Has anyone else seen him down there? I'm hoping it wasn't a glitch but I'm not sure what, if anything I did differently that would have him on the wander.

I'm really liking the pacing so far of saving Cullen's romance for after his personal quest (while still flirting when able
). This is the exchange after he stops taking lyrium. They still haven't started the romance. The dialogue changes a little, and the body language is nice too:

Damn it!I need those eyebrows like...NOW! *drastic sobbing
And now I just had the horrible thought of what would happen if like Samson, Fenris' tattoos got corrupted by Red Lyrium...
Why??!I mean WHYYYYYY?
Hell is filled with people like you, Sifr *glare from a very dark corner ![]()
Samson and Fenris have the same VA??
I had no idea.
Oh yes, he also voiced Taliesen, Zevran's ex-assassin buddy.
His voice is very unique and stands out, I sometimes just goes "Fenris?" when I walk passed some random guards in Skyrim.

I wonder why Cullen's lion helmet was cut in the game cause they had it in the character pictures, trailers and cutscenes from the game. So to me it's very odd that they completely cut it off, I'd think that would be more work in that point than having it in the game.

The helmet is covering practically his whole face, you can barely see his eyes, it would look pretty bad in most if not all cutscenes.

Aw... I'm usually reluctant to choose flirt options during such scenes. With paraphrasing where you don't know 100% what will be said I'm always concerned that it won't be appropriate. Although I finally did just go with it for the Dorian romance and just went ahead and picked all the flirts, all the time. I'll try that on my next Cullen romance play. ^^;

That's just personal preference though, DA has had many helmets that cover full face and it's not like Cullen would wear it all the time. Just in some cutscenes when going to battle etc.

It's not personal preference, not for me at least, he is shown doing a lot of expressions during even the battle scenes, the body animation in DA is very limited and stiff. For instance, without the facial animation the whole sequence in Haven would look emotionless, you would end up looking at unmoving helmet a lot. it's a matter of cinematography. If the helmet had a different construct, it would be a different story altogether.
I think they could realistically implement it only in the run toward the elven temple, where he just fights along side with you, but at that point, why bother?
Another point to conciser is that on overall the implementations of the helmets as a whole in the game, the way they work and appear oh your characters, is not always stellar.

Yeah, it was really sweet, actually
. I can understand your caution about the flirts, and I'm glad this came off as supportive and caring. It's so obvious they care about each other, but they're still just friends for now. I do need to start his romance before she goes to the Winter Palace, though, for that nice dance

I felt that they did a really good job with Cullen's "flirt" options (though I think "flirt" is a bit of a misnomer; they're as likely to be caring/supportive/friendly as suggestive, but unfortunately I can't think of a succinct way to express that). The responses seemed to flow with the conversation, and there weren't any weird tonal shifts (thinking back to all the instances in DA2 that were like, "Oh, I'm so sorry about your terrible problems but OMG UR HOT WANNA BANG?") I didn't even see the questions about the Templar vows as particularly inappropriate, but I headcanon it as not a serious inquiry: my mage just can't resist teasing the handsome templar a bit.
Of course, there's always got to be at least one exception, and for me that was the flirt option at the beginning of the Chapel scene; the line as written ("You're afraid?") could have been supportive, but the delivery left me cold.

Same here, I thought the delivery on that line was a bit... I don't know, I cycled through the other responses and found the non-flirts warmer than that one.
The one flirt I did find super awkward, and would skip every time if Cullen's reaction to it wasn't so cute, is the chess scene one. "We should spend more time together" souds so overly forward that early in their friendship. A shame, because the lead-in text is perfect - "We should do this more often" was just the right line for that conversation, moving things forward a little bit without going all waste-of-perfectly-fine-elf Hawke levels of awkward on him. And it still worked with his adorable "I'd like that" response.

Agree with all these points. Also... let's take a look for a moment at BW's marketing strategies once they learned about a thing called "Cullenites."

Ain't no way they'll want to cover up that mug when it has such built in insta-appeal.
This is all beside my own personal theory that they finally wised up and realized that the helmet is silly, makes no sense given what lions are associated with in Thedas, and overall, is silly. ![]()

It still does actually. >_> You can tell when he's supposed to be wearing his helmet because his eyes do this really creepy wide open/dark shadow thing.

Agree. TBH, a lot of the flirts weren't very flirty and in some cases, I preferred the non-flirty responses for the flow of my conversation. I mean, don't get me wrong, I'd rather they did what they did than have us tell him we can think of a few services for him to perform (*shakes fist at Hawke*), but I thought they'd still be a little... flirtier as opposed to just regular talk that hit an invisible "FLIRT HERE" toggle in the background.

Wow. That sounds so interesting. Now I'm curious exactly what that unusual behavior is that Solas mentions. o_o
Am I the only one that totally wanted to throw dirt in Bianca's face?
She annoyed me once I found out what she did. And then to have the nerve to threat me..... Yeah that didn't make me happy especially since my character just sort of stands there.
