Yeah, I have no idea where this "couple of months" thing came from. Origins takes a year and your Warden is just hot-footing around Ferelden. My IQ is traveling between countries and spending very long periods of time in vast wastelands. I can't imagine that the events in Inquisition takes anything less than a year.

Well, for starters, when you're at Skyhold, one of the advisors, Josephine I think, says she's known you for only a few months. And that's after you've already been traipsing across two countries. So, travel time isn't really being considered. Probably another reason they won't quantify how long the game takes.

I don't remember her saying that. At what point in the game is that? Hopefully though, "a few months" can be taken as something like, anywhere from three to seven months. I dunno.

I uploaded a video on YouTube to show the differences in dialogue if you save Cullen's romance for after Perseverance.  Not a huge change, but it's nice still :):

Has anyone tried to analyze Solas's murals like tarot cards? There's definitely some similar symbolism to the art of the tarot cards.

Can you elaborate on your reasoning? I'm interested to see where you're coming from, because some of the suggestions Cullen makes as advisor can be rather honest and direct to the point of being harsh. He's shown a preference for a leadership role of some sort and seems to be very comfortable with taking charge of a situation, do ISTJs and ISFJs share that quality? But I'd love to think he was an ISFJ, too, because a lot of these ISFJ descriptors make sense as well. I'm curious because that "hammer to the nail" part of him that Josephine describes makes me feel like he's more likely to make objective decisions. Certainly in Dragon Age II he was not taking into account others' feelings when meting out justice.

I'm no personality expert but he's introverted for sure. Not because he's "shy", he gets drained even thinking about socializing like Josephine. The J part I also agree. The T/F part I believe he's more of a T. It doesn't mean you're heartless and passionless, but he's logical about his choices ex. not wanting to fall in love with the IQ because she's the IQ, that sort of stuff.

I'm kind of the same way; I usually try to channel some aspect of myself when creating characters, such as fear and arrogance with Auren (not that I was able to express that in the game, ah well), and hunger for knowledge + cavalier attitude for Kael (whom I haven't played yet). I do the same when creating females, although with them it's probably more of a power fantasy type thing since I always make them really bad ass and "take no prisoners" types LOL It's the me I'd like to imagine myself as :P

Probably why I can't romance someone I'm not into; it doesn't feel authentic and I can't relate to the character. Even when I do my f/f romances, I still just greatly respect and adore the female love interest in a non-sexual way, and maybe think to myself, if I liked girls, I'd like her lol

Ah yes, I feel the same way. I prefer role-playing to self-inserting. A game where I am playing myself would not go well. I'll play almost any character race at least once aside from female humans and male qunari - yuck!

If you climb the scaffolding in his room you'll find a note to Leliana from a member of the Inquisition that basically says that he's basically painting your journeys.

I agree. Using other methods, such as True Colors, maybe he'd be a "blue" which covers a degree of the Myer's-Briggs "feeling." However, using this method, Cullen is most likely ISTJ. I think Cassandra is the same--another reason why they never hooked up. Too similar.

I agree - that's what I thought, too. I categorized him as a ISTJ because he's not always tactful or full of empathy the way we might feel comfortable thinking he is the way some sites describe ISFJ's:

"People with this personality type (ISFJ) strive for win-win situations, choosing empathy over judgment whenever possible."

Certainly this was not the case in DA2 or the end of Origins.

But other than that, ISFJ does sound like it would work for him, too. He's definitely humble and shy depending on the situation, warm, and willing to let things slide. Maybe the differences had to do with his suffering during DAO and DA2? Either way, I guess this is why it's not entirely safe to categorize people too neatly. It's interesting to think about, though~

Oh, I read that, but the style still resembles the cards, and some of the elements make me feel as if they could be analyzed similarly.

When I do those tests I sometimes get INTJ and sometimes INFP and anything in between and none of the descriptions seem to truly fit me. About the only thing the tests seem to agree on is that I'm introverted (not like I needed a test to tell me that ). So yeah, not everyone falls neatly into those 16 categories. Though it's also true that I have my issues and hangups so that'll influence things, not to mention that I'm officially crazy.  :wizard:

It is fun to speculate though.  ^_^

My husband's an ISTJ. I'm ENFJ. So imagine how it'd be if Josephine and Cullen hooked up.

It's an interesting pairing for sure. He loves bunking down at home while I go out to play. He gets so worn out to even go to a holiday party, whereas I'm all hyped and bouncing off the walls. Haha. But we work because of that J part, which helps because money is why couples fight the most.

I think very few people fit neatly into one of those boxes, and even those don't always react consistent with them. It's a handy way to get some insights into people though, as long as you don't expect them to be more than a tool, I think is what I'm trying to say?

Haha, I guess the reason I felt like I could trust this MBTI stuff is that I'm an INFJ based on several tests and all of the descriptors for the type fit me to a T. It's been very helpful because all of the weaknesses listed for my type are things about me I've noticed time and time again over the years but could never put a finger on, so at the very least I can now conceptualize my faults and work on improving myself. It's been a very insightful experience. But I also like to think that peoples' personalities can be fluid and change over time based on their experiences. It's definitely not good to think about people in terms of absolutes, so I'm perfectly happy thinking maybe Cullen falls somewhere in between rather than just into one category. ;)

Every single time I take the test I get INFJ. I'm the definition of consistent :P Though when I was a teenager I would get INFP. I turned all judge-y as an adult

For those of you who romanced Cullen post-Pers quest, how do you do it?  Can one of you break it down for me which order I need to do things and which dialogue prompts I need to be careful with, etc?  I know someone did this a while back, but I can't find it :(

My next PT is going to be a rogue and I wanna do it this way for that playthrough...if I can control myself, that is
