They erased most of what I loved about the character. The nuance, the doubt, the struggle, the goodness beneath it all. All that's left is the fluffy goodness.

Just the ones you get any way. You just get a couple more dialogue options. It is a sticking point in the relationship if you make him stay on it without telling him you can find a solution later.

Well, at least it's not Fluoridric Acid (that famous HF)... Or your bone will melt... Ugh... I can write a horror story about that, got a case in my lab last year when a girl get this acid splased on her hand... A week in the hospital.

Did anyone get the sense that they rushed through this whole lyrium thing? I mean we've been speculating on what would happen to him for years if he got off the blue stuff, so maybe that's why it feels so rushed. But it's like they give us a couple cut scenes and then we just assume it's resolved and he's super okay? Like so many things in the game, it just seemed to lack consequence and follow-up. Another example would be the decision regarding Bull's Chargers in his (Bull's) personal quest. It's like you make the decision and then... nothing.
Just more disappointing with Cullen because I loves him so. Could've been such a moving story.
It's still a moving story for me. Still, a Magic/Lyrium/Fade DLC with lots of Cullen content might be good. You know, seeing how he's doing post-Perseverance...

I want to share it...but...I have never shared a long story before and I am worried it is played out and all done before...I need to get my courage up and I might post it somewhere...but need to finish it first!

Being in a Cell Biology lab, people are quite relaxed about safety. My friends would often laugh at me for always wearing my lab coat, but I don't want any bacterial gunk on my clothes, thank you very much 
Plus... talking about nasty burns - phenol is not pleasant, and we use that routinely.

This will always be my biggest beef with his characterization in this game. Forget that half of what made Cullen an interesting character was his unwavering faith in the Order and what it stood for and his struggle to reconcile that faith with his own conflicting feelings and beliefs. Let's just sweep it all under the rug by making him quit the Templars and spend the whole game reviling and scorning them, that's so much easier than to actually develop this super important aspect of his character.

I think they did know it was sensitive, and they used their usual tact and diplomacy in dealing with it (I don't mean that sarcastically). But... I really think there were other factors at play. For all the extra scenes he got compared to the other LIs, the economy of words that Brianne used was stunning. So every single word had to count, and those words were just limited.
Something I've been thinking is that his story wasn't... a story. I really expected, based on the reasoning Mary Kirby gave for Varric not being an LI once upon a time, that his romance would *have* to have angst. A reason they can't be together. So that there's actually a story there. That's what we didn't get.
...bah. Yes, we're lucky to have gotten as much as we did, yadayada.

I'm literally aching with the thought of it. I wish I could play more often. I've just been so busy as of late, and I want to be able to devote enough time for a good playthrough.
