Blackwall gets annoying for me since he basicly is kind of not giving you much though since he leaves you after sex butt naked in the barn on a haystack. But it still stupid at least fenris leaves you in the house and not in a barn butt naked.

That was hilarious!!  One thing that annoyed me too is that HE asks you to end it. Dude, grow some balls and YOU end it.

It's cause they made him all "perfect boyfriend"  I feel sick saying this, but I think I've come to the conclusion that Cullen is basically fanservice in DAI, and it really breaks my heart. So much potential wasted... such a shadow of a formerly amazing, rich, and complex character.

 

I can think of several real-world examples of people with opposing political and religious beliefs coming together and having a healthy relationship with no reservations. My cousin (more like my brother) is very Conservative/Republican/Christian...he's dating a girl who is a lot like me, very Liberal/Independent/Ecclectic. I am happily shocked that my cousin fell in love with this wonderful person who I totally want to be besties with. They just got engaged.

I can attest to that. My boyfriend and I don't have the same religious beliefs and furthermore I was a vegan when I met him. He's a butcher. It still works

Every other subclause, "blood magic."   "I don't know what we're doing here in the Fade, but it must be blood magic. Did you look around for blood mages? I've seen a lot of blood mages in my time. Oh, can you pass the salt? I used to pass the salt back in Kirkwall where there were blood mages."

Yeah, I felt my Hawke was very OOC as well...even my canon Hawke who is a mage that sided with the templars.

Yeah if he does want to end things then at least end it yourself. Don't ask me to do the break up for you since I may not want to end the romance. Fenris has the better scene in the leaving department at least he doesn't leave you in a bad way after the sex in a barn were anyone can see you or take advantage of you if your attacked ect.

He looks too much like my father. Even if that was not the case in terms of resebelence to my father, Blackwall just does not interest me at all. Sure, nice to have as a friend, but beyond that, uh no. <shrugs>

I agree that as the Inquisitor, it is more difficult to make friends. However, I would consider Dorian and Cassandra close friends for my Quizzy. Cullen, being the love interest, is another example, but you cannot take him along for the ride, unfortunately. I did not get that feeling from any other follower, though. Varric is Hawke's friend, first and foremost. I adored him to bits in DA 2, and took him everywhere. In DA:I, he's been left on the benches for the greater part of the game, however.  

 

To be honest, even Viv can seem like good friend material depending on the IQ. For some reason she flipping loved my dual-dagger rogue. I have no idea why since I thought I treated her the same as others. Her dialogue was completely different. She was all like "You look terrible, my dear...let me have a look at you. I need to take you out for a spa day." and "How can I help you, my darling?" With my other IQ's she would be downright cold and nasty to.

Yep, she was really close and endearing towards my pro-Circle human mage (well, duh lol).  She even offered to take her to Val Royeaux to see her seamstress for a makeover.  I thought that was nice, especially coming from Viv who before I've only seen vitriol and passive aggressiveness on my other Quizzy's.

I'm genuinely curious... Am I the only one here that, for some reason, never made a connection with any of the DA2 companions? I didn't have a favorite DA2 companion, much less a favorite DA2 LI. They were all just kind of... there. In DAI, I actually have favorites again, like I did in DAO. Companions that I enjoy having around and spending time with.

 

Also, I'm kind of down in the dumps today. Does anyone have any happy/positive Cullen art/stories/comments/etc to share or recommend?

Not for you being down in the dumps, but that I totally agree with you. 

 

I do have some good news for you - the liner you made looks great! I had to add a bit of in-game liner simply because the in-game lower lashes look like a bad mascara job by default...the liner on the bottom helps blend them a bit. But you did an awesome job! I have people lining up because they want my IQ's so bad.

I'm on the fence about trying Blackwall's romance.  On the one hand, he's a sexy burly lumberjack, on the other, from what I've seen of his romance on YouTube, it seems like 90% of the time he's pushing the Quizzy away.  That would get annoying and make me wonder why she would even pursue it.  It's not his big reveal that would bother me XD

 

You need to romance Blackwall...simply for this line:

 

"Evidently the beard doesn't bother you as much as I'd feared..."

Sadly Dorian bugged out on me so I never got to really know him I did "personally" care greatly for Cassandra, yet I never felt a sense of closeness pop up between her and my inquisitor. In comparison, Hawke and Aveline were like brother and sister. That's probably just a personal response though.

I can think of a few since my parents are the best exmaple of different opinions coming togther to make something great. My dad is the ultra conservative of the family since he agrees with the tea party while my mom is verily liberal in her political views. My dad is also for example an Methodist while mom was a Catholic. A Lallvan can fall for someone outside her views all the time and it still can work out the rents are married for thirty years now.

Fenris was good - he's my favourite romance for DA 2, actually. But, Anders was painful for me... and not because of the whole going mad and blowing up the Chantry thing

She loved my human rogue that allied with the templars. She also loved my Qunari rogue that conscripted the mages.
