LOL I haven't seen it, but I can imagine! There's a Dave Berry joke like that about folks who went to Ivy League schools always having to mention it. Which was too appropriate given some of the folk I went to grad school with. 

 

On Big  Bang Theory in general.... erm, yeah.

Personally I don't feel that he's boring though. I actually kinda like having a "conflict free" relationship in-game...that and he does have that ever so sexy naughty streak once all that tension builds to the point of no return...

To be fair, Cullen isn't the first Andrastian completely OK with dating a Dalish, so it's not like he's the only one.  There's Leliana, Alistair, Zevran and possibly Hawke as well.

Well keep in mind I was not in a relationship with him so I am viewing him as a companion. And to me he has lost a lot of the complexity he had in the previous two games (chiefly DA2).

Master Dennet got more than an eyeful!     

Speaking of Dennet, I've been meaning to ask you guys. Is there a chance you can do something wrong, and Master Dennet won't come to Skyhold? On my 2nd PT, I'm worried I offended him, or didn't kiss his butt enough or he hates elves or something, but I couldn't talk him into it. I did everything he asked. watch towers, devil wolves, got a real live stable for his horses... nothin. Did I do something wrong...?

Sadly Dorian bugged out on me so I never got to really know him I did "personally" care greatly for Cassandra, yet I never felt a sense of closeness pop up between her and my inquisitor. In comparison, Hawke and Aveline were like brother and sister. That's probably just a personal response though.

 

Ironically enough, I felt the friendship with Cass build up over time when I chose to ask the mages for help. So, she did end up feeling like a friend to my Quizzy. On my second playthrough, I went with the Templars, and Cass' approval skyrocketed, so there was no build-up. All of a sudden I get her personal quest. But, because I got so attached to her during my first run, I am still very fond of her

That is one awesome line, I'll give him that It will be probably the only one I am keeping for my fanfic, though it will be said in a different context

 

 

To be honest, even Viv can seem like good friend material depending on the IQ. For some reason she flipping loved my dual-dagger rogue. I have no idea why since I thought I treated her the same as others. Her dialogue was completely different. She was all like "You look terrible, my dear...let me have a look at you. I need to take you out for a spa day." and "How can I help you, my darling?" With my other IQ's she would be downright cold and nasty to. 

 

Oh, Viv became very friendly with both my mage and rogue Quizzy - darling this and that, seamstresses, decorations, spas... I love the VA (she was awesome in Rome), but there is a certain aloofness to Viv's character that makes her feel more like a mentor and advisor rather than a peer and a friend. On the other hand, Dorian turned out to be a sweetheart, once my Quizzy got to know him - the way he expressed how much he valued the friendship made my insides go all mushy And Cassandra impressed me with how she changed her view of my character over time, how she grew to respect Trevelyan. But for this to work, her approval must grow gradually. Otherwise it can seem like a sudden 180

He deserves one thing to go right and smoothly after all he's been through. It would have been nice for him to be a little conflicted about romancing a mage, but to quickly over come it, but it's nice he has something to be happy about.

I guess that makes it's easier for you to come to terms with him being a female only romance then, since he's boring 'n' shite.

Yeah, I would have liked to see at least some reservation about it...or maybe dialogue beyond "I see none of that in you."

 

That's part of the reason why I didn't enjoy romancing him as a mage nearly as much as with a warrior.

Cullen definitely had conflict.  It may be inner-conflict, but being a drug addict going through withdrawal isn't someone I'd consider conflict free.

He does sort of address this if you ask him if it bothers him you're dalish.  He says all elves were treated equally in the circle so he hadn't considered it.
