I wasn't snapping, I was just saying that it's a good thing that you find him boring because it makes it easier to get over the lack of bisexuality for his romance.

Oh I see. Well I'm still a huge fan so I still want to romance him :P In any case it's not like I dislike him all of a sudden; he is still one of my favorite characters; that's why I am so disappointed with how much they watered him down.

LOL OK. This is good to know. I honestly started to wonder if he was prejudiced against me and my beautiful elven love. Sorry, Solas, you're staying home next time, dear.

Maybe Solas can do that too. I remembered bringing both Solas & Cass & got the special option with both. I always ask Cass to take care the matter though but I can imagine Solas, as reasonable he is, can also do the job.

I only had the history perk and Cassandra's option in my PT.

I had a choice of using my own perk with Dennett, or using Viv or Dorian...I went with Dorian.  :D

He's always with me, but didn't help. So I guess I'll actually have to leave him behind.

Anyhoo, thanks for all the help, everyone! I was worried there was a misstep I'd taken in not being nice enough to him early on or something.  <3

Okay, just bring Cass, she did the work for me in 3 different PTs.

Seconded!

What's scary is it's very plausible, although it sounds more like something that would happen in the last ever DA game because there would be no reversing it should he successfully accomplish his goals/if we decide to let him? Unless we're always meant to stop him? Not gonna lie, I kinda like the idea of this being Solas' plan... that being said, if it is then I'd need to try to stop him... unless they kill off all my favourites, in which case he may as well go for it, LOL!

But... this is also a plan that Flemeth is in on. Do we have indications that her endgame is to roll back the clock...? She and Morrigan and Yavanna are all about preserving the past and the ancient magics... is this perhaps one way to preserve? To literally go back to some point or some state in the past? Yavanna talks about a time before the Veil... This could fit with his interest there in perhaps having no Veil. To make everyone again as they were, to badly paraphrase Sandal.

mind. blown.

I miss one point: Is what he really want to do is to restore a "condition" (eg: erase the veil completely) or bring back time to the past?

Because from what I understand he didn't want to turn back time. So I can't understand why it's an issue since he's trying to change things in the future & not bringing back the past.

Yeah, it would be wicked if we got to choose whether we want to erase the present and sent solas into the past in the last game!

But is she trying to aid him? Or stop him? She's been aiding/saving heroes and pulling stings through the ages, perhaps everything needed to occur as it has, in order for whoever (be it the Inquisitor or a future protagonist) to stop him from reversing things?

I don't know that we know this necessarily.

Oh man, he wants to help his people. Who have all been dead for thousands of years. The time travel notion makes a scary amount of sense.

I never liked Solas.

There, I said it. I'm on Sera's side on this guy. His head's stuck to whatever was 1000s years ago, and whining is "just weird". I wasn't positive/negative about him until he made that face during The Dawn Will Come, I couldn't put my finger on it. That face told me how disconnected he was from everyone present, how he would rather watch than participate, and why he wouldn't participate is because of his pride/ego/etc. Just as how he wouldn't want to be anchored into the current world state because it's just not supposed to be this way.

But whoa time travel. Gonna get trippy from now on.

... Y'know, this would also go some way into explaining the whole time magic thing with Dorian/Alexius. Perhaps the Inquisitor/future protagonist will need to use it OR Solas will take advantage of it to reverse his mistake/whatever.

See, I like that! I liked the guy, but I also love the idea of him wanting to reverse things essentially killing everyone by having them all cease to exist. He'd make such a wonderfully morally grey antagonist, especially to those who romanced him!

Awesome! But then again, ever since I found out about Solas I've been hoping he'd wind up being the next Big Bad. Heh. Big Bad Wolf.

I have a feeling that Flemeth had a different plan from Solas, but I guess hers didn't pan out as well? I mean, Solas didn't exactly achieve his goal by the end of this game either. They probably had similar goals about preserving old magics, though.

This kind of story would probably satisfy me in terms of shaking things up, like our old discussions I was reminded of the other day. What would be amazing would be to have a drastic shift (if we chose such a path) and then to be able to play through it.

So this is saying that Solas' plan is to "fix" the past by changing the present...and then returning back to the past...when our IQ "fixed" the future and traveled back to the present...

GOOD GRIEF I hate time paradoxes!

I feel like it would be more poignant for him to dealt with whilst we're still playing as the Inquisitor, but if his plan goes ahead (and we're to get a choice in it's outcome) then it would need to happen in the final DA game ever released.
