Damn it. I have to start over. I never saw him anywhere, just keep getting goofy letters from him. Nor did I see Morrigan. I should focus less on those freaking shards and try to properly do the quests. 

 

And wow. He did age well. My Quizzie can't handle Alistair AND Cullen in the same building.  She can't.

 

Well, as King of Ferelden you only get to see him make one short appearance in Redcliffe, after you're done with Alexius

Blinky can have Hawke any day, if it's between her and Ali And, yes, he aged well - both from the way Bioware did the 3D model, as well as Valentine's voice acting   There are three Bioware men I love, and would find it difficult to choose between: Alistair, Cullen, and Kaidan 

 

We'd have the same problem dear. Wow. This is probably a case where I'd have to bond all 3 men, Aes Sedai style (hopefully, some of you will get the WOT reference)

My Lavellan was pretty distracted during Adamant when she had Cullen, Solas and Alistair there with her at the same time.  I know I would stop caring about the battle if I were her.

 

This is one of those scenes you have to make a hard save for, and return to repeatedly

I hope they talked, though!  I made a worldstate with a Warden!Amell romancing Warden!Alistair.  It's a small world in my Thedas  --Alistair was in a relationship with Hawke's cousin and had spent time with her brother, Warden!Carver.

Well, they'd certainly have something to talk about   It's nice that you get to talk to Ali about the Warden, and then you get a War Table mission to attempt to contact her Haven't gotten around to doing that yet, so I am not sure what the result will be.

Yep, you can find him on the battlements in Skyhold before Adamant Do Wicked Hearts before heading for Adamant for interesting interactions with Morrigan

 

I do everything "correctly" to get this yet I have never seen it fire...

I'd love to have heard him in person talking about the fight in the kitchens though. "Well, that was bracing! A pitched battle with evil mages disguised as kitchen servants, fireballs flying and swords flashing...it brings back old times."

By the way, has anyone else noticed that one of the bottles you collect is "Vintage: Warden Riordan. Serve yourself"? For someone who made such a short appearance in the games, I miss Riordan a lot.

I loved that mission in DA:O. It was so fun pretending to be some guards and just strolling around...except I walked in on another guard having an affair with another servant...it made everyone instantly hostile...O_O

 

Riordan was a pretty cool guy, I read some great fanfiction with him as the side to the HOF. Then it became a romantic relationship and...that is where I stopped.

I decided to skip shards and astrariums on my second play through I am enjoying myself so much more I am also spending as little time as possible in the Hinterlands I am barely level 9, and can do both Adamant and Wicked Hearts. You can breeze through this story, if you want, and only do the parts you really enjoy

I only know what's supposed to happen, haven't actually gotten to that part yet. Will let you know if it'll work. I do have the banter bug in my second play through, so we'll see. Though I managed to work around that bug

If you think about it though...DA has had a trend with the Protagonist walking in on those kinds of situations. The guard and the servant in DA:O, the feather guy in DA2, and then the guy and girl in the mill.

And I'm not sure if it's redlyrium!Cullen or envy!Cullen. I've seen people claim both, but alas, I do not own the artbook to know for sure. Envy!Cullen makes more sense to me. 

 

I have the book and I can confirm it's Envy!Cullen. The little blurb next to it says "In this character study, we wanted to depict the impersonation of human expression. If the final images are unsettling, it is because they mimic something genuine." I wish they had made the envy-advisors look that creepy in the game.
