So I'm still playing my Qunari and I'm romancing Sera to see if that will help cure my dislike of her. So far I think she's quite cute when she goes all speechless at my quizzys flirting. And I find she's a lot less annoying when you agree with her on things.

But it finding it surprisingly hard to deal with Cullen because my huge Qunari makes everyone else all little and adorable and it makes me want to pick Cullen up in my huge arms and squish him like a small child would a cat. XD

 

I really do think the Qunari are adorable. My Lady Adaar is romancing Blackwall and he's just so cute when he's looking up at her towering over him.

Ah i am so sad I didn't do this the first time around. I miss Ali  I feel like that's kinda why I romanced Cullen at first for the little Origins feels. I am, however, definitely going to replay Origins and let Alistair stay with the wardens then update my keep. Does anyone else feel the need to replay something before updating it in the keep? Or am I alone in this quirk lol...

I've wondered about this a bit because most of the fan art seems to be of LavellanXCullen but I think it's Tishna who pointed out that at the time most SS were of TrevXCullen... I think now-a-days it does seem to trend LavellanXCullen or maybe that just more people who played/ing an elf are posting their pics?

 

I know I feel a minority sometimes, Trevelyan non-mage romance Cullen but each to their own. I have a mage TrevXCullen in the works atm

I think a lot of the people who prefer to play elves went with a Solas romance first. I'm seeing a lot more LavXCullen ships now. I mostly noticed because I had to wait for the game and was living vicariously through everyone else's SSs and videos (my Dalish is now at Skyhold and finally starting the flirts that he returns a little)

 

I played all the way through two Suranas in DAO but could never make it more than about halfway through an Amell PT for some reason (I'm changing one of the Suranas to an Amell in the Keep, though.) I just didn't personally find playing a human all that interesting in DAO (I generally find humans less interesting in fantasy games, but more so in DAO with a fairly predictable avenge-my-betrayed-family background); I only made it through Cousland PTs because I wanted warden queens. I actually liked the idea of a BAMF S&S professional soldier Trev for a Cullen romance, but there's so little connection to background. Honestly, 3 games in a row, the humans have been nobles; at least in the other games it was an important part of the human's story. I'll probably eventually create a Lavellan warrior or rogue for him because I can imagine much more interesting interactions with those.

Yeah, I am playing an elf and totally dived head first for Cullen. With a side of Blackwall, but after his fit, I was turned off. Cullen it is and is it ever satisfying...

I'm pretty certain I didn't use the word boring. Finding something personally not very interesting or predictable isn't to say I think it's necessarily boring or that I'm criticizing others who do like it. I was explaining why I found playing the other races more interesting in DAI (aside from my enduring love of DAO dwarves.) I'd originally planned a mage, but the bottom dropped out of her background story when the game released because, as far as I can tell, there wasn't even that much to object to in the Ostwick circle, and I have a hard time seeing why they'd have joined the rebellion if they were allowed contact and holidays with their family, etc.

Yeah, the only way I'd play a Trev is as a mage, so the whole nobility thing is pretty irrelevant in her life.  I find nobles...meh... as well.

Yes! Bring some of that fantastic city elf-dynamic to that huge chunk of Thedas's human population who live in only slightly better conditions. I could sink my teeth into that, especially if they provided at least a little of the background, even if not as extensive as DAO.
