I'll... just leave this here. Another Cullen one-shot that I made. Guess that I just really need to get this out of my system after similar things that happens to me not so long ago.

*snip*
It's not even that they (the nobles) themselves are boring, but they're just what everyone expect of a hero. A kisa, and it's just a big nope for me. That's why I also never play as a warrior (aside from hating that class mechanins I mean).
Each to their own I say! There's quite a few people out there that enjoy the "mage dynamic." I just don't.
Only one of the examples I listed above would qualify (in my eyes) as a KISA, and that's my templar. My rogue is more of an anti-hero. I'm not sure what I'd qualify my 2h warrior as...certainly not a noble knight.
So far each class is enjoyable as far as battle mechanics. I haven't found one that I dislike - they're just different.
I still don't really get why our Inquisitor's all came from some sort of important/noteworthy family, it didn't really play much of any part in the story like they'd originally suggested.
I honestly have no clue about Cadash, but Adaar is certainly nobody important/noteworthy. He/she is a merc. At this point, I'm not sure...was Adaar raised by humans or other Tal-Vashoth? Or was that left open for interpretation?
Also, non-mage Lavellan is just a hunter for the clan and was sent in as a spy.
I'm doing my second fem Inquisitor with Cullenmance after taking a break to play with Dorian. The first time around I did not pick the "Are you with anyone?" heart option for RP reasons, but I went ahead this time. Man that was great. When you ask if anyone caught his interest (in Kirkwall) and he says "Not in Kirkwall," with just a very slight emphasis on "Kirkwall" I just about died. That is the smoothest flirt I think he does in the whole game. Way to go Cullen.
Heh, yeah the little bits of dialog like this are really cute.
Yeeeesss, I love that flirt. He definitely is meaning it as 'but someone has caught my eye somewhere else, oh look she's right in front of me!' and I love it. I am 99% sure my nosy-parker Quizzy got so flustered she tripped and fell over a shrubbery after she heard that.

Well yes of course, I just don't like to get close to an enemy. And in DAI I don't like that I have to actually run around trying to hit them (I mean not only pressing attack but also wasd). So only staves and bows work for me.

Really?
Who would've thought.

I really like they did with the game. I also really love the diversity. I had questions about Krem. They've been answered.
And Greg...I restarted a convo just so I could hear the little intricacies in what Cullen was saying. That little "tsk" he does when asked if he was interested in you. Like, he can`t believe what he's about to say. Damn you DA...you're doing it to me again.

Cadash is related to Shale, they were once a very noble and important house. Not sure about Adaar though, I'll need to look into that one. Lavellan I think was supposed to be from some noteworthy clan, although I guess all elven clans are important amongst their people.
Really need to get all these out of my system. ![]()
At first I wrote that for the 5K celebration but maybe I'll need to do something more joyful. That one's quite dark. ![]()

But but, we Trevelyans get 10 extra points at the ball!
Joking aside though, I tend to feel that the human angle, particularly human mage, works best for being at the conclave. After that I don't think it matters much beyond preference.

I lose a fair amount for being a mage though.
Speaking of which, the devs once said that by playing as a Qunari there's a whole quest line that you can't complete. What was that? Or did it get cut?

I'm currently playing as a Qunari but I haven't noticed any differences in terms of quests in my playthrough. At least so far.

My sense from playing a Cadash is that no one particularly remembers they were ever noble (and since they're now casteless, that's essentially been completely erased,) and in fact my rogue seems to be playing out a bit like Brosca in DAO - involuntarily forced to work for the Carta. I haven't gotten anything on my Lavellan warrior to suggest that she's anything more than a random hunter picked for whatever reason to spy on the conclave. The only thing I've picked up about that clan is that they're more conscious of what's going on in human politics than most Dalish are. Dunno much about Adaar yet.

So pretty much pointless then? LOL. Now I'm sulking that I couldn't play as a street rat.
Hahaha...I just heard a little tidbit of convo around the war table:
Cullen: "Inquisitor we were..."
Josephine: .."impatiently awaiting your return, some more than others"
Cullen: "Err...I ...I wasn't."
I shall fix it for you to reflect the true dialogue said:
Cullen: 'Inquisitor we were just..."
Lilly: "Eagerly awaiting your arrival. Some of us more then others."
Cullen: "I wasn't, I mean I was...we have work to do."
Lilly: "Of course."
Shame there is not more dialogue said around the War Table and with the companions about your romance with Cullen. Sorry to repeat this but, man it really rubs my rhubarb.

I love Trevelyan mages. That way, my IQ is related to Dorian.
! I'm also fond of ranged classes so either archer or mage for me!
I also think a noble background makes for interesting RP with Cullen, who's a commoner...how would that work out exactly? I don't want to think that'd be be the "No you can't marry him because he's a commoner" line? All I know is...I want the IQ to be a solitary leader. "No sharing titles here! Grrr! My throne!"

Sorry Ma'm, my Eenglish is soo bad, explain plweaaase? ![]()

To "diddle the skittle" = female masturbation.

Well, it was an attempt from memory...while multitasking. Did my best; it's not like I can copy paste it.

I actually don't get the reason for giving us such specific backgrounds if they're eliminating origin-type content. We have no direct contact with the families, and in the cases of Cadash and Adaar, I get the feeling they have none, at least that they're in contact with. Cadash's carta background comes into a few conversations, but as far as I've seen, those are side conversations that don't have direct relevance to the story. I wonder why they didn't just let us pick one of several backgrounds for each race. Someone with a street-rat/rogue background could have essentially the same conversations about it, no matter the race, after all. The same for nobles, though that would be limited to humans and dwarves. They let us play a Dalish mage, but you don't get a special dalish magic school, so why not let people chose between circle or apostate?
