I'd be in the same boat, with my smooth talker skills at about this level:
LMAO!

You think Cullen in shallow? Hmmm...I'm not sure. He's been through a LOT and judging someone based on initial instincts has always gone badly for him. DAO, yeah he was young and narrow minded, DAI, I think he knows there is so much more to a person than if they carry a staff, sword, or have pointy ears. And didn't they only race gate him because of a technical issue with height? Or they ran out of time? He could've loved you with horns too
If my Inquisitor's are anything to go by, I'd say he's not picky enough! The sooner they release the mirror of transformation DLC the better!

I think some people might be under this impression precisely because he is gated, and in spite of the technical reasons behind it. So.... IT'S ALL BIOWARE'S FAULT ![]()
... I just noticed Cullen and Alistair have the same hair now, LOL!
LOL, love is blind Lola and he's HARD UP! How long has it been for him, like...maybe kirkwall? 3, 4 years?!If my Inquisitor's are anything to go by, I'd say he's not picky enough! The sooner they release the mirror of transformation DLC the better!

Or never. If you enjoy that canon

Okay I never said he was shallow. Even if personality is more important, everyone always judges people partially on their appearance. It's just human nature. So compared with Alistair he's more likely to have an appearance preference because he really doesn't have the same intimacy in the relationship as Alistair and the warden who constantly fought at each other's sides, were almost the only surviving wardens at Ostagar, had to unite Ferelden together, and had to slay the archdemon together. I think when you've faced enough tragic events head on appearance isn't even a factor anymore.

Especially once you've taken an Archdemon to the face! ![]()

Haha, I don't think it's necessarily a bad thing, some people prefer blonds, brunettes, younger, older, to be taller than their LI, or shorter. Maybe he'd just feel emasculated next to a quanri warwoman?
Intimidated by a Qunari glamazon? I can well believe it if she happens to be one of these ladies:

Yeah. The romances, as frustrating as they can be for some, are more representative of people's tastes. I personnally love red heads, but a beautiful man is a beautiful man ...
Hehe
Agree: a beautiful man is a beautiful man. I always swooned over tall, dark men. My husband is barely an inch taller than I am, with fair complexion and hair... And, he is also the handsomest man on the planet - to me, of course ![]()
Cullen being gated ...he has no love for dwarves.
I'm pretty sure the reason Cullen is race gated and gender gated is because of Origins. He only had a crush on a female human or elf. While it may not mean that he can't love dwarves or qunari, he definitely showed that he was straight in the first game, and it might be a little odd if all of a sudden he was bi.
I read them all (ALL), and if the quest is given out as a letter or note I imagine my IQ at her desk reading it along with the documents to be discussed in the next war room meeting, and then I picture her and the advisors discussing the matter, each of the advisors voicing what's on their card, the others reacting to it, what my IQ would say in response or how she would come to a decision, one or another of the advisors questioning her decision or rolling their eyes and IQ either explaning her reasoning or brushing them off depending on her mood, the chosen advisor going all busy busy let's do this!! etc. It takes forever to get through each table quest because of that. That's probably why my main playthrough is like a million hours long, half of it is spent roleplaying the war table.
Speaking of documents - I can't recall if it's been mentioned in-game, but are the varieties of English we encounter while playing through our localized version of Dragon Age meant only as a sort of Babel fish translation so we, the players, can understand what people are saying and what we are reading? I know in DA2 there are notes on tables written in English and such, but in Inquisition, the notice Cullen nails up at the beginning of the game is written in a special alphabet, as is Varric's Swords and Shields book cover.
Or is it all meant to be some kind of strange parallel universe to ours where the same languages somehow exist through some kind of convergent evolution, and they just happen to have a writing system not based on a real-world writing system because their linguistic history is so different from ours? The common tongue that is spoken in Ferelden is said to have arisen as a dwarven trade language out of necessity. So apparently the Dwarven accent evolved into the Fereldan accent - the reverse of what happened in the real world. Orlesian obviously has its roots in French and Dorian sometimes uses Latin words... I've been confused. I know they hired a linguist to come up with the Elven language, but did I miss something that addresses this in the lore?

Whaaaaaa?
too bad...looking down on everyone would've been nice for a change!
Nah, there is that as well, quite a lot actually. But there are also boobie shots ![]()

haha, it gives credibility to the theory that Alistair was a strong inspiration for Cullen in manstyling department
Smug Cullen for your pleasure
