Another commission for johnnygats! This time with Leda and Cullen. They are adorable.

EDIT I forgot to say that this scene is based on a writing of johnny’s, about Leda complaining that Cullen’s hair is too bright/blonde, and he ends up wondering if he shouldn’t get a helmet to make it easier for her to look at him. Like I said- adorable.

You can save them both, just make sure you don't leave through the door closest to Flissa as it triggers their timers when you do and then I second everything nine said

Phew! Was daydreaming about these three all day and now I feel better with Fenris here too. And thanks to kalalala for her lovely screenshots.

So like...what happens to Fenris now with Hawke having what happened to her happen to her? Is he wandering around Tevinter finding mages to demolish with his sword that's as tall as him?

So, the first time I played this game I was all about Blackwall, second PT I started to dig Cullen, now just finished the third PT and I'm deep deep deep in a Cullen vortex of emotion. I didn't give him a second thought in the other games. Whoever was involved with his character modeling, design and voice direction/action deserve Oscars. I am happily married and middle aged - WHAT IS HAPPENING I CAN'T EVEN...

 

edit: okay maybe not middle aged, but old enough to where this would be totally embarrassing to admit to anyone in real life.

There are triggers around haven that if you manage to avoid, you can save every one pretty easily. I think if you get too close to anyone, that's when a companion says they hear someone and the timer starts. First fight I did atop the stairs, far away from Flissa, then ran through the door I came in (not the one near Flissa!) And ran to get the other two. I think the others are far enough away from eachother that it's easy not to trigger til you're ready.

I remember thinking before **it hit the fan how odd it was that a scaffolding was going up by that last house...go figure, inadvertent well planning!

Unfortunately given the low standard set with other hair styles and that Cullen's hair is fabulous, perhaps they figured why not reuse a good thing. (Eee gads sera's hair!!)

Perhaps the foresight of fans placing them side by side was forgotten when they made the decision

Actually, I went over the scaffolding once, but on the second time, I just whacked the stuff blocking the door and got to him that way.

 

I think I was really close to getting everyone on my second PT Haven, and probably would have made it if I hadn't gone out that door.

And... I just found out that the animators shrank a qunari woman in one of the kiss scenes so she's shorter than Blackwall, probably a foot and a half difference, sigh. Honestly, is it really going to open up some hole in the space-time continuum if a guy is actually shown tilting his head up to kiss a woman?

Hopefully Cullen's character kit is not just a high res model of what we've already seen, but a proper deconstruction of how his outfit is put together. A clear depiction of each layer of his armor + robes would really help cosplayers and artists understand what goes where.

 

Yeah, that would be great. But I'm not really optimistic, I'm convinced Cullen's armor wasn't supposed to look like it does in game today. Remember that video we had during Gamescom? The armor looked just like its concept art and, to me, the red coth made more sense (2 parts crossing on the front and hold together with the belt) :

 

I hoped the character kits was this update (plus look at that pj), but you are probably right, it will be high res character pictures references.

Out of curiosity, how did you feel about Blackwall's romance and story arc in general? Did it turn out to be what you expected?

Seems like Fenris would be the type to go after the Inquisition for letting Hawke die.

He should've been in her vicinity the entire time, but yeah, now he has another personal quest I suppose...EVIL inquisition!!!

Out of curiosity, how did you feel about Blackwall's romance and story arc in general? Did it turn out to be what you expected?

It definitely wasn't what I expected (I assume you know about the twist) but overall I really enjoyed it.  It was sweet, had some angst, and good character development.  I never got into Solas even when I was an elf for some reason, but Blackwall is definitely a close second to Cullen as far as enjoyable romances.  I never really know what to expect with Bioware relationships - I was a bit spoiled on Cullen's though.

Ha, I'm a bit older than that, that's all I'll say...my husband likes video games but he doesn't obsess like I do.  Also it probably doesn't help that I'm unemployed.  At least that's what I keep telling myself.  *clicks over to Tumblr to check #cullen tags*

I really wanna do a Solasmance, but right from the get go I got an uneasy feeling about him even though I liked him as a character and my Inquisitor got along with him... I dunno if I was just subconsciously picking up on the fact that he was hiding a secret or something. I suspect it's gonna be hard not flirting with Cullen lol.

I think so too. I hoped for some of those differences to be restored (I love that Cullen armor) but, well, I suppose they were modified for a reason ^^
