Kind of changing the subject - but does anyone have a video or know if the envy demon in Champions of the Just does anything different with Cullen if you've started flirting with him? I've only done Templars once and was involved with Blackwall.  As far as I've seen he just gets his throat slit.

I imagine this might have been posted before, but Veeia just posted a link to this lovely lady's tea shop on the Sera thread, and I saw there was also a Cullen tea blend. Sold out now, of course  , but the description of the blend is nice.

Seeing that the devs are back from the holidays got me thinking... When do you think they'll start production of the new game? I realize they already have the general ideas of where the story will go, but when do you think they'll have their first official meeting where they start to make the new game? Do the writers start that while the DLC is coming out? Because I'm assuming the writers have probably already done their part on the DLC for the most part. So would they start the initial production stages of DA4 while the technical teams work on the DLC, or do they take a substantial break between games? I realize we won't see a new DA for several years, but I was just curious.

In a twist of irony, I got the banter between Dorian and Solas about Solas being non-descript and Dorian's clothing being loud while Solas is the one wearing gear made from that bright yellow plaid (I swear, I'm romancing him on this PC, it just happens to be the best armor that's dropped so far).

I also think the production teams are different, but they've already begun work on a new ME. The article is old, but the trailer and info has been out for awhile.

It took me a few tries to save them all, only to realize that they'll be replaced once you get to Skyhold! Fusutrating......

Hopefully Cullen's character kit is not just a high res model of what we've already seen, but a proper deconstruction of how his outfit is put together. A clear depiction of each layer of his armor + robes would really help cosplayers and artists understand what goes where.

 

Seriously. A couple of times, I was asking myself why his left hand was always contorted and then I realized it was resting on his sword hilt.

So, the first time I played this game I was all about Blackwall, second PT I started to dig Cullen, now just finished the third PT and I'm deep deep deep in a Cullen vortex of emotion. I didn't give him a second thought in the other games. Whoever was involved with his character modeling, design and voice direction/action deserve Oscars. I am happily married and middle aged - WHAT IS HAPPENING I CAN'T EVEN...

 

edit: okay maybe not middle aged, but old enough to where this would be totally embarrassing to admit to anyone in real life.

 

LOL. I lost that battle. Too many people know, which I am ashamed to say, but what can you do. Sometimes, you just need to daydream (I know I do). And at the risk of revealing exactly how old I am, I've been totally re-digging "( I just )died in your arms" by Cutting Crew

It's like - Blackwall was easy and kind of in your face, but Cullen was a slow burn.  

 

I believe you said it best. I was anticipating the entire time with Cullen. Blackwall, for me, was just...meh.

Ughhhh Dragon age won't quit my life!!!

Tonight I went to a bar called Solas.

 

Last night I got a TInder match with a blonde guy named Cullen (Not joking. To my disappointment, he looks nothing like Mr Rutherford....not gonna lie, I swiped right just cause of that name  ).

 

I also recently discovered there's a bar called Cullen's Tavern in a nearby borough. I'll probably never see it because it's not in a hot part of town, but what is this! 

 

I can't take all this teasing, it's like Thedas is sending me signs, begging for another playthrough

I bet they have some shared resources and I doubt they'll let ME and DA cannabilize eachother. DLC will tide us over for a year, then probably ME and DA4 2 years later? I think that's how this past cycle went.

My biggest fear is that they turn either of these games into cash machines like Assassins Creed. Those first 4 games were aaaaaamazing and it all went to hell when they started cranking them out every year. I'd rather BioWare take their time to make these next games right

I started wondering about Blackwall in the very first scene they released before the game came out when he was talking about the Grey Wardens and claimed to have been in Ferelden during the blight. Not only did that not fit, it contradicted the Blackwall letter we'd seen in advance.

 

I didn't pay attention to that. It's also hinted at when you go to Orlais. Some noble goes on about having seen him before and Blackwall denies it. Then the noble mentions something about the beard...

I survived trying to kill the Hinterlands dragon. I finally ran for it. I think I need a heavily armored team, my warrior took very little damage, but the mages and Sera were getting crisped...

I hope no one truly feels shame. Daydream away! How many of us have had crushes on actors and movie characters? Gosh, I had soooo much Leo plastered on my walls when Titanic came out my mom thought she walked into a shrine. And Kurt Cobain, can't even get started on that....

Point being, these are well developed characters, beautifully rendered and acted, and its soooo much more emersive than a movie, that I think it's more than okay to daydream about them, and if people know, that's okay too!. If we didn't have this great fuel for healthy imaginations, we'd all be so much more boring

...So I just completed the Templar recruitment test and I don't really know how I feel. I didn't know that there was a quest to discover the secrets of Envy so I missed out on that quest and seeing more of Cullen. I think I still prefer the mage quest...the templar one kind of confused me, lol.

Best dragon fighters are KE specced Viv with Resurgence and ice magic, Guard heavy Cass, Bull, and yourself.

I could only find 2 of the 3 sections of Envy's Dogma which bummed me out cause it was cool reading about the demon.
