Wait.... you got it?!?!  I still haven't gone to Adamant, but I've talked to Alistair at Skyhold, send letter to HoF, talked to him again...  I did WIcked Hearts somewhere in there after Crestwood. But nothing with Morrigan! Rats.

NO!  I did not actually get the Alistair and Morrigan in the garden scene.  I had them both at Skyhold for like 15 hours, constantly checking back in the garden to see if he would ever show up and he never did!  SO, I just watched that scene on you-tube and went ahead with Adamant.  But the fact that he mentions her means that he must have spoken to her at Skyhold (even though I didn't get to see it).  You don't get that line if you do Wicked Hearts after Adamant, so I think the line was added assuming you would get the garden scene and see that they finally came to some kind of...peace.  I wish I could have gotten it in my own game!!

 

Still, despite missing that line, he gets lotsa dialogue as the warden hanging out at skyhold, so I was really happy.  It was VERY hard to let him go back to Wessuipt!!  Seriously, you get as much side dialouge with him as you get with a bugged Dorian, so he really felt like one of the gang

 

Maker breath, but I miss that man!

He doesn't show up unless your a Cosuland and made him a king. He calls you his wife if he shows up which sucks since Orghen is not my favorite character in the first game.

 

It doesn't matter what origin you play, Ali will show up if he was made king. You only get the "wife" line, though, if you are playing a Cousland who chose to "rule beside him." If you are playing his "mistress," he will show up and call you "love."

Ah, thanks for the confirmation. So my concern remains that perhaps you need to do Wicked Hearts even before you go to Crestwood. :/ Rats.

They've got another patch coming out in the next few weeks, so maybe that'll fix it?

I'm pretty sure he released an album recently. I've heard him wax lyrical about Gene Kelly too, and he has a love for the old-fashioned song and dance man. And he was also the money behind Cosmos. He's incredibly intelligent, which I'm sure is half of my crush.

Totally OT though, and I'm on my phone so just pretend there's a Cullen pic here to stay on topic.

I think this might be because they didn't bother writing different versions of "friend-wife" vs "love-wife?" Dunno, just throwing it out there.

 

My canon Warden is an Amell who remained his mistress...the "power behind the throne..."

It depends a bit on how long it is. My typical rule of thumb is: less than 500 words, you can post here; longer, post it elsewhere and link.

I've also been asked recently whether you should wait to post or not. Basically, it's up to you whether you want folks to read it for the first time as part of the celebration or not. We try to keep it to stuff that is part of the celebration (unless we run out of things, which we don't seem to do any more). Some folks who aren't sure if they'll be around to post their stuff live on the page will post it on AO3/FF.N/whatevs a day or two early and send me the link just in case.

Yeah, sorry, I meant, getting the actual scene where they talk to each other about Kieran. I'd heard you had to do WIcked Hearts before Adamant... and I feel that I kinda cheated by doing Crestwood first so I could push the ball back a tiny bit. But now I wonder if that was the issue. Maybe you need Morrigan firmly installed at Skyhold before you even talk to Alistair the first time in Crestwood. 

 

It's just so maddening... knowing they're just a tower away from each other! Gah! But it's nice to know he might still mention the kid.

He then looked a little closer, and was like: "Wait, that's not me. He's got brown eyes. Who is this!?" He is not much into gaming, so he has no idea about Cullen...

I have an outrageous crush on Seth MacFarlane. It's embarrassing, really. If I ever met him I'd either a. Flip out and tell him I loved him, or b. Stay entirely silent and cry myself to sleep afterwards.

 

 

After everything my Warden went through, she would definitely name a son Fergus. He was the only thing she had to hold on to after Alistair broke up with her. Although, she'd actually probably end up arguing with Fergus about it what with him wanting her son named Bryce, so okay, the second son gets named Fergus.

This is really off topic but does anyone else head cannon that Fergus marries the lady that Teagan doesn't?

It's that much cooler knowing that he grew up not too far from here...that and he's apparently a ginormous Star Wars fan.

I think you may be on to something.  I actually preferred the playthrough doing wicked before Adamant, and will likley play it that way regardless of whether I have Alsitair as the warden or not.  I imagine that we are taking care of the more pressing issue (assassination attempt) then the less pressing, but more disturbing "wardens are acting weird" later.  I wonder if it will feel right to Crestwood after Wicked?  Crestwood is pretty easy, so I played it that i got Alistair, but had to wait a while to get resources together to dive into the western approach.  But it would be worth it to get the garden scene!!

 

This has been the most awesome playthrough!  I even saved the Cullen desk scene for after Adamant (and after completing the Samson quest), so it feels like he thought I died at Adamant, but I didn't, and he realizes that he really loves me, etc.  I am also playing it that he was a little jealous of Alistair (who I spent way too much time with) , and thus waits till after that goofy warden leaves skyhold to finally feel comfortable enough to...you know...do the deed!!
