With the rift mage specialisation?
Nope. From the winter tree.

I believe that is from the Knight Enchanter tree - Fade Step?
Really? I always go KE and I never noticed it. Mind you, I do have a habit of just leaving the abilities as they fall.
Is it sad that I keep listening to this song practically on repeat while I'm working on these portraits?

Oh my bad, it is from the winter tree as alwayshungry said. I was thinking of Fade Cloak.
I know I'm preaching to the choir but I need to exercise this guy out of my head. He is not real, he is not real, he is not real...
I also was thinking that there is no way a guy as perfect as Cullen could exist today for many reasons, which is obvious I guess but bear with me a sec. He's insanely good looking so in today's society he'd mostly grow up totally spoiled (most likely not hearing any calling to serve in a Templar equivalent) so he'd likely be a douche, having women throwing themselves at him his whole life. He would probably never know any sort of real strife unless he had some horrible childhood, maybe he'd become a drunk or some other drug addict but there wouldn't be any noble cause behind it like with taking lyrium to serve a holy army. His desire to serve in the Templars and the trauma that came of it pretty much shapes who he is. And he definitely wouldn't be shy with women or chaste! And finally I'd imagine growing up in a world where there is constant threat of death around you warrants extremely passionate love affairs. It's highly likely you won't see that person tomorrow. Okay that's enough of my insane rambling!
It is sad when a really good looking guy turns out to be a douche... That being said, there are always exceptions - and even in today's world, I have been pleasantly surprised a few times. So, while Cullen might not be real, the idea of him is not impossible ![]()
Yep AH is right. Fade Step is the second ability in the winter tree...I think it is on the right. I always pick it up first thing then immolate. Fade Step is really good for the AI escaping when they get in trouble*they use fade step pretty well*, and I always use fade step to get around in the world. I combine it with barrier so I can fade step off a cliff and not take any fall damage.
Really? I always go KE and I never noticed it. Mind you, I do have a habit of just leaving the abilities as they fall.
Don't tell me you never used Fade Step? My mages would be dead without that and Barrier... ![]()

True - but I kind of need to believe it's not possible, since I'm married
.

Nope, never LOL!
Nope, never LOL!
Lol, once DA:I gets fixed up...I have a feeling you are going to be discovering a lot more things in both the game and the combat. I salute you for never using Fade Step though, lol!

It's entirely possible not to use them on Normal or Casual. I used them a bit but not all of the time on Normal and they didn't die too often.
Fade step is the best, especially enhanced fade step.

I'm currently playing on Nightmare and I haven't used it either! ![]()

Usually I just jump away as fast as possible, LOL!
I'm glad to hear that because I'm enjoying my archer, but I just can't warm to the artificer spec (I literally never used traps after the first hour or two of my very first PT). I'm glad to know that Tempest works well with it, thanks!
I enjoyed my DW Temptest and now I plan to play an archer assassin. Varric has thrown me off wanting to play his specialty with the way all his explosions go off 60 seconds after the battle is over.
I just went back through the thread and saw all the talk about Alistair and marrying him or remaining wardens together...or even becoming his mistress, lol. For my canon I had them marry because I roleplayed my Cousland in a way that she was the Yin to his Yang. So while he was naive and lighthearted my Cousland was worldly and serious when she had to be. I really don't like the idea of hardening him...well in the sense of changing his personality, lol! I just found it to be pretty callous even if it may had been needed.
I had an Amell that became his mistress and shipped Anora off to some tower because even if they could not be officially together, they were still together in their minds and everyone else who knew them. So there was no real point in having some woman around to fill the throne when my Amell was helping with his decisions as his Chancellor or whatever title you could get. Anyway the game basically says that when Alistair is away, his mistress rules...so technically she is the queen as well...just not officially.

Same! I just use it to get around the world really fast!

XD That's what I do with my archer, lol. The moment a fool comes after him, he is already leaping his way up a cliff...I've gotten stuck in some pretty awkward places.
I romanced Zevran once and it was so hard to not romance Alistair. I was internally crying lol
As a human female noble, I always romance Zevran first (I have a mod that lets me get him right after Lothering) and then romance Alistair and then marry Alistair (I have a wedding mod too). But Zevran and I are still BFF and he stays with Alistair and my warden, after the game is over.
My male warden romances Morrigan first and then romances Zevran. Zevran and my male warden are off looking for a cure now, always together, forever. ![]()
And in DAI, my canon romance is Cullen, although I did a Cass romance and now and doing a Dorian romance. I'll sandwich that with another Cullen romance. ![]()
I didn't find this in the Bioware forums...nor did I say I did.
Fontofnothing went to the previous Cullen thread - the 2.0- and reposted it here from there.
And before that, the image was actually found by me in Google search and the bigger one, in Pinterest.
If it belonged to Adela (or if it belonged to any other artist who happened to be on the forum, s'matter of fact), I'm sorry, but neither I nor anyone who's not friends with her or hasn't participated from the previous thread has any way of knowing she's the one who made it (that would be approximately 90% of all people in the Forum, btw).
As for the artist who yanked the picture, posted it on Pinterest and claimed it was theirs, I hope he dies horribly. Preferably eaten by darkspawn.
But then again, that's the internet for you. Post anything, give it a few days and someone will ctrl+c, ctrl+v it (I'm writing a book by now and posting on the web, so I have no idea if someone out there is plagiarising it, for instance). Which is why registering one's creations to secure legal rights is always important.
Hope that has clarified things. o/ Also, congrats to Adela for such an amazing artwork!
PS: can anyone mod Cullen to make him look like the canon version? Is that even possible?
Yes, no?
You dont have to be friends with me to know who the artwork actually belonged too i even had my name on the pic.
This kind of stuff really bums me out when spending hours/days on something and then someone can easily take it and claim that its theirs , kinda makes me not do anything anymore if this sht happens everytime weather is mods or just fanart of some characters... not even sure if i should even share my hair mods...

My Amell is all about practicality. She knows Alistair will need to establish himself with an heir...thus she chose Anora since she knows that anything between them will be all business. If Alistair is left as a single king there are a couple not so great scenarios that could happen:
I'd much rather have him be arranged to marry someone that is frigid and nasty rather than be with some doe eyed twit. ![]()

I think the best outcome for Ferelden, for me, would be Anora and Alistair ruling together. Alistair has the name and lineage, Anora has the political game down pat. Together, they make an extremely potent combination.

I've been wondering this for a bit - anyone else think it's kind of weird that there is no mention of a prior relationship at all once you break up with someone in these games? IRL there would be a lot of drama if you were still around them all of the time, so since this isn't real life there should be at least be a sentence or something later referring to it. I'm also kind of a sucker for triangles so I miss the jealousy comments from Origins. In one PT I broke up with Blackwall on the throne after he just basically declared his love for me, then afterward everything is hunky dory. And then I immediately started a romance with Cullen right after that scene, he helped me break Blackwall out of jail and even says "I'm sorry, I know what he means to you". I would have thrown in a line during the "Start a romance" scene like "Are you sure you're over (insert name)". I did appreciate the banter regarding breakups, like when Sera is consoling Blackwall, but that may never trigger for some.
I just remembered that if you break up with Cullen he does say "I need a moment" if you try and talk to him right after. I've only seen the video, I of course couldn't do that myself. Maybe other LI's have that? I broke up with Bull on another PT and he was cool about it.

My Amell is all about practicality. She knows Alistair will need to establish himself with an heir...thus she chose Anora since she knows that anything between them will be all business. If Alistair is left as a single king there are a couple not so great scenarios that could happen:
- He has no heir and civil war ensues (again) after he goes to his Calling (or dies)
- He gets set up with someone that could be construed as "competition" and jealousy and all sorts of nastiness ensues, putting strain on their relationship
I'd much rather have him be arranged to marry someone that is frigid and nasty rather than be with some doe eyed twit.
Considering my Amell was already shaken by asking Alistair to sleep with her friend so that they could both live, she was not going to watch the man she loved be forced into another "union". She was my more selfish worldstate where she was always kind, but not below making decisions that would benefit those she cared about more so than the country. She was my mage who hated the whole discrimination/being stuck in a tower her whole life, the way she saw things was that Ferelden did not care about her and those who shared her gift.
I actually like Anora. My canon for my guy is that he is ruling Ferelden with Anora, but ran off with Morrigan...XD

I agree with you. Whenever I am not rolling a Cousland or a selfish character then I typically have them rule together. I personally see a Cousland queen and Anora both very competent, so it is an easy decision for me. Do I want to have Alistair to be with a competent woman that he hates, or do I want him with a compantent woman that he loves? I think you guys know my choice in that, lol.
