Yeah... I really feel that the break up option just before comitting to the relationship (that desk job scene) is just... cruel? He was showing what seemed to be a quite vulnerable side (not very sure of himself that you actually wanting to be with him after the Inquisition etc) and you just do basta... And one of the choice of dialogue is very harsh.

 

Ouch.

 

at least during his perseverance quest if the relationship was broken it was him who did it. I can't face the option of dumping him when he's at his most vulnerable state.

Honestly, I began to play DAO late enough (less than 2 years ago) that I knew DAI was coming, and I just didn't see myself replaying DA2 more than once at most unlike DAO with 11 PTs. I see the appeal for a lot of people, but I don't spend money on games that don't appeal to me personally. I don't entirely think DAI is as good as DAO for my personal tastes, though some of that MAY have to do with the fact that apparently one of their game devs has a major nostalgia for old platform games where you have to jump and jump and jump to reach everything (well, I just finished the Storm Coast, and it certainly felt like that).

 

I stumbled upon DAO in 2013 and played it for around 9 PTs and then I found about DA2 and went to investigate it. I read so many horrible reviews about it and for a few months I simply forgot about it, but then one day I bought it and I could not be happier that I did. It not as horrible as everyone says, lol.

 

XD I don't have to jump too much, I use Fade Step, Shield Bash, or Stealth to move quickly.

That's the beautiful part of a game. You could actually do that, & then reload. After I reload & start the relationship officially with him well... He got thousands of kisses.

 

Do you have any save files from before starting a romance with him? You can start anytime after skyhold.

Sadly no, but I am running a PT that is going to romance him...so I think you guys will see me with a lot of sad screenshots and a whole lot of these

My Cullen romance WS has a King Alistair/Queen Cousland in a political marriage, with Zevran in the background , so it'll be Hawke and Stroud. Even though I never played DA2, I'm not happy with leaving either of them behind, but it'll probably be Stroud staying in this one. I want to vary up the order, though, on some other PTs (I have one coming up with a Warden Alistair, so I want to plan that one carefully, but I'm hoping they fix the Alistair-Morrigan dialogue before then).

 My WS is Alistair/Queen Cousland, with Zevran in the background too. My warden spent a LOT of time with Zevran until she broke up with him to romance Alistair. But she stayed good friends with Zevran and I headcanon that if she and Alistair can't have a baby together, because both of them are tainted, that Zevran does the deed with her, to give Alistair and my warden, an heir. Hey, the baby will even be half elf, like Alistair.

It was sooo well done. Particularly afer DA:O. I`m sorry, love the game but that little song...I couldn't stop giggling like a 5 year old girl.

My daughter actually tried to show me the game back not long after it came out, but convinced me to try a human noble. I was very frustrated with the combat controls, and the noble story seemed too predictable to me, and I quit when I arrived at Ostagar. Last spring, I was complaining about needing a new game, and my other daughter took the strategy of showing me YouTube videos (of Zevran first, apparently she knows me well). I gave it another try and never looked back.

That is such a cute story and I wonder where you would had been if you had not fallen in love with DA, we certainly would not be having this conversation. Isn't it amazing how just a few choices can lead to so many other opportunities?

 

I would suggest casting barrier before using it. I remember I went flying off a cliff and ended up losing almost all of my health. It is a useful ability, but risky when it comes to cliff-hopping.

Still sooooo bad lol. That reminds me: this summer, my neighbour was having sex quite loudly with his new girl on a Friday night. It was 8pm and his patio door was opened: so was ours and everyone else's because it was breezy cool night. If you walked on the sidewalk that night, you heard them. The BF and I went out to the balcony and proceeded to play porn music.

Actually, mine romanced and kept Zevran, hardened Alistair and convinced him that a political marriage would give him breathing room while she taught him the intricacies of surviving the nobility (she was a rogue, and I assume her family trained her almost from birth to manipulate the court, etc.) Having a wife who is adept and known to be very deadly, including with poison, would give Alistair the breathing room to find a wife he actually liked and could trust before they started pressuring him about an heir, and she could go her way with Zevran at that point. Or if he fell in love with someone the court wouldn't accept, let Zevran father a child. With Alistair having the, um, option to join her and Zevran   (she's my hedonist queen, but good hearted.)
