I always visit everybody and I can count on one hand the amount of times I've gotten that messenger... 

Yeah, I've seen the videos/heard the audio but it's much more fun to have it happen in game!

*shrug* Must be like the banter bug, then, because I got one just about every time on my first playthrough. On that playthrough, though, I almost never got party banter; on my current run, I get normal party banter (possibly due to keeping the journal/codex/inventory obsessively clean) but less frequent comments from the messengers.

Azura Trevelyan is a Templar Warrior. While the game doesn't give you the option of becoming a Templar until after Haven, in mine she was ready to become a full Templar right before the Conclave. However prior to it, her family and their close family Chantry ties decided to send her to help other family/friends there. Cullen doesn't know she was so close to becoming a templar until he confesses to her about him stopping lyrium. Seeing and hearing such, she begins to questions her own convictions on a lifetime of preparing for the moment of joining the templars. Never before had she ever had doubt and part of her hates him for causing such in her. Out of anger, she walks away from him and goes through with her training with Ser. After that she has a strange reaction to lyrium and is left very ill and all are worried if she will make it through it or what will happen if they lose the Herald. Solas feels the mark is what caused the strange reaction. Cullen blames himself that he "drove" her into a rash choice. Staying by her side he realizes his anger was due to being in love with her and wonders if he will lose her no matter what (either death or she will hate him for his part in all this).

 

 

This is similar to my Rhiannon Trevelyan:

 

• She is a perfect "youngest daughter" from a noble house and is all about duty and sacrifice. She was training to become a templar before the Conclave. When she gets the chance, she wants to complete her training, even knowing what that means (lyrium addiction). She is willing to make the sacrifice in the name of helping others and furthering the Inquisition. Of course, she uses a sword and shield. She and Cullen will be working to break the "lyrium leash" together after the Inquisition is no longer needed.

Here are a couple of my others:

• Raven Trevelyan is a dual-dagger rogue who is the black sheep of her family. She always shirked any form of responsibility and was more at home with the "seedier" sorts than with the nobility. She never gave a crap about appearances or what anybody else thought about her. She found herself at the Conclave against her will (*sigh* family) and it took her a long time to come to terms with being IQ. She thought Cullen was a huge buzzkill for quite a while (and even had a "friends with benefits" relationship with Bull) until that boy just got under her skin. Seeing what others thought of her as Envy!Trevelyan really got to her. It wasn't real, but it was still a punch in the gut. 
• Theodosia "Theo" Trevelyan is a brash 2h warrior. Being the youngest of her house, she was "daddy's little girl." She wanted to be just like him, and thus he indulged in training her to use a greatsword. She also began to pick up on some of his "rougher" qualities. As she grew up, she became very headstrong and even went against her family to do some mercenary work. This is where she ended up at the Conclave. She is also ashamed of her given name and tries to hide it at all costs. When someone does find out, and uses it, she throws them down a hill.

I think his O face would look a bit more angry - like furrowed brow intense-like.  Sort of like when he's punching the bookcase...not that I've thought about it extensively or anything.

I really enjoy reading the backstory to people's characters.  This has elements similar to my rogue Trevelyan's backstory - she's my tragic one!  I'm no writer - please excuse the quality!

She's the youngest in her family, with four brothers who are much older with various roles in the family (two of them templars).  As a child, she had a twin brother.  They were inseparable, she was the happy, outgoing child to his dark and broody nature.  

One birthday they were given a wooden horse as a present. Her brother wanted the toy, but Evie refused to give it to him and ran away.  An angry child, he shouted after her and chased her, and then suddenly the horse caught fire in her hands, burning her severely and leaving her with scars that she still carries to this day.  With their siblings in the Templars, both children knew the consequences if anyone found out about Aryn's magical talent, and after he apologised profusely and begged her to stay silent, she did, helping him to hide his tendencies.  

As they grow older, Aryn's temper grows and he becomes more and more withdrawn, forcing the siblings apart.  Evie is her fathers daughter, and one evening as he tutors the twins in their family history, their easy camarderie angers Aryn.  He draws his magic to him, and to their horror, his features contort and he whirls towards them.  He father pushes Evie away just in time as the thing that was Aryn attacks him viciously, ignoring his cries.  He tries to fend him off but doesn't want to hurt his son.  Evie, watching in fear, can see that this is no longer Aryn.  She snatches her father's dagger from the desk where he uses it to open his mail and runs to the pair, stabbing the abomination repeatedly, sobbing uncontrollably, until eventually it drops to the floor, dead.  

The episode divides the family.  The religious family cannot possibly reveal that their child was an apostate, so a story is told that he did from consumption.  Evie's mother cannot bear to look at the girl who killed her son, and her father grows distant and cold, disappointed that she did not tell the truth. Evie is desperate to make amends but is unable to break through to her parents and becomes isolated and withdrawn.  At fifteen, Evie is informed that she is to be married to a 30 year old minor noble in Tantervale.  Her protests fall on deaf ears and she is quickly married and moves to Tantervale to live with her husband. Over the first year of their marriage, he reveals himself to be violent and abusive, and Evie falls prey to his manipulative ways.  Her only respite is her role within the Chantry - it's the only place he will allow her to go alone - and eventually she makes a friend there who forces her to confront her predicament.  Her friend trains her in daggers - weapons small enough to be concealed - and stealth.  At 19, Evie makes her escape.  For the next ten years, she spends time around the Free Marches, living hand to mouth, taking on jobs for the Chanter's boards, wanting to go home to her family but scared to return to Ostwick for fear of her husband finding her.  Then, word of the Conclave comes about.  She knows her family's role in the Chantry means they will be there.  15 years after she last saw them, Evie sets out to meet her family in Haven to try to rebuild their relationship.

 

Gives me lots of role playing backstory/headcannoning/reasons!

After Haven is destroyed. You trudge through the snow and find the encampment of the survivors from Haven. The camera pans around showing what a few people are doing. 

 

Lilly and Josie are sitting by the camp fire.

Cullen is, uh doing something. He spins around like he is trying to check his bottom.

That's at the point where no one knows what to do, they just all had a big argument and are taking time out. He sort of has a little throws my hands up and doesn't know what to do next moment.

You know when I started working on Cullen's portrait based on your screen capture, it looked just like Chirs Evans!!! I don't mind, since he's dreamy, but it took quite a bit of self-discipline not to go down that path

I just saw this too.  I was confused when she said it changes all NPC eyebrows though. Does that mean everyone else in the game other than companions/advisors will have your eyebrows?  Damn I wish we could get new hair/brows for PS4.  I did however create a character last night that I think looks like me, will post later because I just realized the damn screen shot has her eyes closed so I have to get a flattering in game shot.  Gotta do some real life stuff *curse you grocery shopping*.

It depends on the mod. I think in this case, they replace the in-game CC eyebrows, which would also replace those used by the NPC's. 

 

The eyebrow mod I have is attached to a texture, which replaces the brows for any NPC's that use the same face texture.

 

Now I'm curious...and will be trying it out for science!
