Is it weird that I think the little avatars he uses on the BF and twitter that depict himself are adorable? Like little plush doll adorable, not like-like adorable?

Yeah, this was my interpretation. He thinks we're gettin' greedy. And we are!

 

I wouldn't characterize it as greed on our part. There have been official announcements about things (such as dev diaries and FF) and then nothing happens. All it takes is a follow up announcement to say that something has been canceled or delayed. 

 

It's probably frustrating for the writers because they're (oddly enough) the more visible members of the team, so complaints get tweeted directly to them.

Of course we are They just gave us more information at one time than we've had in months. And that stuff is addictive.

 

 

Edit: I agree that they should let us know if there won't be a FF, though. It's no wonder people are expecting it.

Well in his defense, getting prodded for more info after giving so much info already is rude also. It's pretty much telling him and the other devs that what they've shown us isn't good enough. I know we all want to know about the companions and other aspects of the game, but with so much hate being tossed at the devs on a daily basis, I don't blame David Gaider for being a bit of a smartass

Oh, I understand that part, it's the whole starting a trend and not following through that gets me. It's like, yeah, you gave out tons of info....but maybe let everyone know that there isn't an FF this month, so that they don't ask about it, ahead of time? Especially after last week when everyone was flipping out over it and no devs stated anything about not having FF this month before all this info was given.

 

Oh I agree, if they've decided not to do the Follower Friday after stating specifically that there would be one for April, one of them could at least give us a heads up. On the one hand it annoys me, but on the other I'm so already overwhelmed w/ info from the trailer

I don't need to find characters attractive to enjoy relationships they can form with my pcs. What is more, I usually try to imagine what kind of pcs I could create that would work with different npcs. Sometimes it works, sometimes it does not.

 

At this moment I am looking at the setup picture and am so curious about them. I don't have preferences, but I hope those who have will get someone they love. So they can enjoy the game even more.

I know they've given us alot of info; interviews released; that awesome trailer, etc. But it's not quite the same as highlighting a particular companion. The blurb; The kit.

This is very much how I feel. Holy crap this week has been Christmas, but a simple, "Folks, here's a super info heavy week, instead of FF. Cool?" would have at least stopped the constant hassle they must be getting.

 

In the meantime, I will go back to smiling at the war room shot on my desktop and maybe watch the trailer again.

It does seem odd. I wonder what the hang up actually is..because it's not like they don't have the companions already or info about them

I'm sure, it's just that... it's not very professional   That kind of thing gets you fired some places. I mean imagine if I just got caught up in taking attendance but forgot to grade anyone's exams. Then I get super mad when 100 people email me a month later asking what their grade is. Oops

ElitePinecone said it best in the Twitter thread, but most of us really aren't trying to be ungrateful or say that the info wasn't good enough. The new info was fantastic and more than I ever expected to get at this point! Our issue is more with the fact that a monthly Follower Friday schedule was announced and that it's not being followed through with.

That and it was also said that we were supposed to meet someone new in April. While we did get the war table image of all the companions, the image doesn't really give us any info about a follower other than the fact that they exist.

Yeah, I get that, and that's fine. I don't want to seem ungrateful for all the info either. If they'd have previously said the FF thing wouldn't happen this month, I wouldn't be bothered by it. It's just when we don't hear anything about it until late in the day that it was expected that I get annoyed. I'm like that in all things. If someone says something is going to happen on a given day, I'm gonna get annoyed if it doesn't and I'm not informed of it until the very last possible second. Even if it's something I hate, like a dentist appointment or something.
