In other news: the part of Ohio I live in got covered in snow and ice which was not a part of the forecast.

 

A few hours ago I was leaving my classes and thought the ice had melted away...I was wrong. I nearly broke my heel so now I am walking with a horrible limp and no stranger saved me from that fate. Ugh I hate the winter.

 

We're supposed to get snow this weekend.

 

I've noticed that people are not very nice when it comes to someone that falls down. I've fallen twice! in grocery stores right in the middle of an aisle and nobody helped me up or asked if I was ok. It was totally my fault...I can't wear platforms to save my life. There's a reason why my friend calls them 'ankle-snappers."

If you haven't realized by now, Alistair is my soulmate. I knew before I even heard about the Dragon Age series. I knew before it was even a twinkle in David Gaider's eye.

I was a major lurker on the forums during the hype between DAO and DA2, but I was really only interested in fan art at the time, and BSN is a great way to find that. Finally decided to join in the discussion during the DAI pre game hype, and I'm so glad I did. Anyone lurking in the thread now, I highly suggest putting in your opinion if you're comfortable. It's a lot more fun when a bunch of people are adding to the conversation.

 

I've also been a lurker for ages...Since 2009 really (yikes!) I think I may have posted once or twice, but since I never got any responses...Then, I started checking this thread out and everyone is soo fun. Like, I look forward to come on here because no one in my circle shares this. I have gamer friends here and there, but I can never show them the famous Melissa screenshots and have them drool about them with me. I would have enjoyed a meetup.

Montreal guys...the worse. I can't even take my dog out it's so cold. We have ice EVERYWHERE and crispy snow. It's like -17 celsius (1.5 F) probably colder because of the wind factor. I would take snow...

this reminds me of the other day when I walked into a public building and there was no carpet on the floor and I slid and instead of the people around me helping or asking if I was okay, they laughed. LAUGHED. the nerve of some people i'll tell ya.

 

WTF...people just don't care anymore. I wish men were more gallant. Really. I mean, they fight with you now to get seats in the metro or bus. There are a few exceptions...but it really annoys me when they do it to pregnant women.

Playing soccer for most of my life has made my ankles pretty weak since...well you know you get kicked often. Sometimes on purpose by your rivals...asses. Anyway that made my ankles pretty weak so when I hurt my ankles, I am pretty much done for a little while.

Lol, it was totally a Wily Coyote moment for me! I knew I was done the moment I realized that I was walking on ice. Other people were falling around me, so I should had taken that as a hint...but I thought I was walking in a safe part. I was horrible mistaken.

 

That is why you wear flats, lol!

Absolutely! This is my first time participating in forums because I was just far too shy or didn't think my opinions or obsessions warranted a post. Cullen thread is my new home now but man...when Alistair and Fenris came into the world, I wish I'd have known then that people can be so great at hearing what you have to say lurkers post away!

I got cut in so many grocery lines by rude people when I was waddling at 8 months pregnant and couldn't beat them to it. Crazy hormones made those some dark moments...
Chivalry isn't entirely dead but it must be dying slowly because I'm entirely fascinated with fictional men who are chivalrous! Novels, video games (come on templars, alistair/cullen, be the first to hit on a pretty lady!) that it just makes me realize it's sorely lacking in reality...

I agree. I remember chewing my bf out at the beginning of our relationship: we were crossing the street and the light turned yellow. Well, not only did he let go of my hand, he gave it a good swing to make sure I let go and ran to the other side. While I was on the other end. You best believe that I let him know that it was unacceptable. He's learned since lol
