Right?! Althought for Solas...I think he has ulterior motives (the mark). Cullen would be out of pure concern. I mean, he's thought about kissing her for longer than he'd care to admit. It would have been awesome for him to come in for a while and he just happens to be there when she wakes up. Cause if he watches over her the entire time: creepy. Then, he'd say that he's glad she is awake and then mother Giselle comes.

Hehe, IIRC Lola asked Brianne once about Brianne's personal headcannon on when did Cullen started to fall in love with the quizzy.

Guess when... :P

I drive myself crazy with guessing heights so I try not to. I'm sure the male human models in-game are meant to be a solid 6', but obviously the game is going to have some serious limitations.

But I have written Cullen as a leaner and taller guy at 6'1/6'2 and (for comparison) Alistair as a bit shorter than that at 5'10/5'11 but with a stockier build.

/shrugs. I like me some variation.

Ha!  They did that with Solas, how he watched over he while she slept.  Why not Cullen?  There's gotta be some fan fic that goes over that gap in time - between her passing out in the snow and the argument the advisors are having at camp, when she wakes up. Also, I would have liked to see the advisors talk to her at camp instead of just Mother Giselle and Solas.  I mean, she almost died!

Bwahaha... There should have been a (humorous) "Creepy..." response when Solas told the Quizzy that he was studying the anchor on her hand while she was out cold.

Related to that, I headcanon that Cullen carried the Quizzy back to the camp after she passed out in the snow.  Isn't that when the writer said she headcanoned that he fell in love with her-- seeing her in the snow?  That's my headcanon now.

A music that's a resume on what's waiting for all of ya in my computer in form of Ms Word for the 5K celebration... For once, a story that I write with love

*snip the awesome*

Oh, I love this piece! For a second I was wondering where do I recognize it from :] It's from the video by Terje Sorgjerd I might have over watched 4 years ago <3

Edit: Because of this beauty I really want to visit Tenerife in spring. Actually, his video "Arctic light" made me book a plane ticket to Norway same day I watched it

Hey, fan fiction writers. I am trying to grow enough spine to fling some of my work into the wider world, but I'm not sure where to go. Are there any substantive differences between AO3 and FF.net?

I would go with Arcive of our own it's better since its a great community.

I like AO3, to be honest. I just find it easier to use and ff.net boggles my mind a bit. It depends on what you're looking for really. Both communities are great but if you want a more laid back community then go AO3. If you are looking for a place where you can garner more serious feedback on your works then go with ff.net. AO3 is also a lot more forgiving when it comes to the explicit but I have still seen some pretty raunchy stuff on ff.net. Hope this helps. ^_^

I prefer Archive of Our Own (aka Ao3) since you can link pictures and references in the body of the text, it's more versatile than FF.net. FF.net has a lot of trolls and mean arses, I have both accounts but one is mainly for my DA/ME postings and the other if for my other fandoms that I rarely even touch anymore ;(

I'd have to throw my lot in with ff.net if you're looking for honest critiques about your writing. It's a more established community of people who mostly do write or want to write for a living anyway. I'd agree that AO3 is more laid back, but that's certainly not a bad thing.

There are a lot of differences, so it just depends on your preferences. Most folks think the traffic is higher on ff.n, altho more recently I've seen the opposite opinion. The biggest differences are in the tagging, since the tagging is much more free form on AO3 and it allows for more mature themes. But because they're free form, they can be impossible to navigate and find things. I also appreciate what was already mentioned about how you can post images and links and such within the text of the story, so it's far more multimedia friendly.

If you go with AO3 for the P5000 celebration, there's an AO3 collection you can add it to: http://archiveofouro...ns/cullenthread

Personally, I just use both, altho I've favored ff.n.

( I have one AO3 invite left, BTW NEVERMIND, they're all gone. But if you still need one, let me know, and I can request more)

R2 is right. We should really try to keep the forum more Cullen focused, myself included. Let's try to cut down on some of the off topicness. Or if you do have something off topic maybe add something Culleny to your post just so we all remember what character made this forum possible ^_^  .

Just going to highlight this again. Indeed, we've been *very* off topic recently. Time to reel it back in.

*deep breath*

Ok.  I finally bit the bullet and put my fic online, if anyone wants to read it.  It is very much fluffy/funny rather than dark and angsty, so if you like sad and pain it's probably not your cuppa - one of my favorite authors is P.G. Wodehouse, after all!  Maybe I actually have to be sad to write sad, or something, my personal journals are pretty dark. :P  In any case I prefer happy type fiction since it's a surer bet for happy endings than our poor real world.

I had to split it into multiple parts for size.  It starts here: http://u2queenbee.de...art-1-508798068

Please bear in mind that this is easily the longest thing I've ever written and the first fiction I have ever shown anyone (apart from one very short in-character letter from my Cousland to Alistair pondering the ultimate sacrifice, which wasn't even entirely fiction because my real-life heart was broken into a basquillion pieces at that point.)  I found it to be very useful writing practice and I think parts of it are good/funny/interesting.  So, if you find any really glaring errors I have missed or something let me know, but...don't be mean, I'm squishy!  And scared!   :? :nervous:

And huge thanks to timebean for some very helpful suggestions and helping me have the confidence to post it.  Trying to be braver this year!

Page 5000 Update

Page 5000 is approaching. We'll hit 5000 in about 2 weeks.

** How are folks doing? We're burning through a lot of pages with totally OT chit chat. Are we on target? Should we slow down?

** If anyone needs an AO3 invite, I still have two left. PM me.

Also... my questions remain...

Can folks sound off with whether they think they're participating on Page 5000 and how likely it is that they'll be done? It helps give me a sense of who to expect/wait for when the time comes.

Thanks.

Edit for ToP:

Some nostalgia. littlenikki's banner for the original Page 500 Celebration... 8000 pages and three years later... still going! :)

I was planning to post the drawing I made for the Cullenite care package on page 5000, probably (unless we're not supposed to post them before the parcel goes out?)  It's pretty much done now.  I don't know how well it fits the theme though. :S

I think I like the first one better, the waterbrush gives a really pretty texture! (Very cute Cullen btw, I love the lil' red spot on his nose that he gets! :D)
