While IRL I won't ever suggest anyone back to any kind of substance that might cause dependence/harmful effect, a discussion I had in Cass thread with Cass fans are quite... mind opening to say the least. Some pointed lots of valid reason for asking Cullen to be back to Lyrium, most of them are concerned for his well being & meant well & not just wanting to play the ass-quisitor. Apparently some think that Cullen's method of going Cold Turkey is too dangerous since "it's not RL drugs" and even in RL drugs it's recommended to have medical advices & follow up. Even Cullen acknowledge that most people who do it the same way he did either die or went mad. Well...

 

Still, I can't do that. I can't. I'll just let other people play & see their video for references & keep Cullen out of it in my PT

Greg Ellis' doing a helluva good job with the praying & hug scene if you put him back to Lyrium tho, even better than if you tell him not to take it anymore

Well, I don't really apply RL situations, because I mean, dragons, magic, lyrium...Perhaps there should have been a middle ground. Suggest he do not go cold turkey (I really missed that part) and assist him with the "rehab". A little cut scene with him having the shakes and sweats would have been awesome, perhaps a few times during the game, and you see an improvement in his health. Finally, he's off and feeling much better and a nice cut scene with him thanking the Quizzy for her help. Nothing too elaborate or long.

Let's see my skills will be for the grand 5,000 a story of my mage Trayvlen an Cullen meeting Kaya Amell whom married Anders and has two children with him although Justice did not merge with Anders, since it did not fit his character to me. I also kind of headcanoned she was with him during his time in Kirkwall. I also have a fic brewing for that and made another mage that was actually from the circle blow the chantry because it never made sense to me.

Yeah, and the fact that he's been off it since the end of DA2 and hasn't died yet proves to me that he can do it.  Cassandra seems pretty convinced that he can, too, and she's the one person around whose judgment I'd defer to on it.

Exactly, and I'm glad that Cullen didn't have to go through it alone, but has the support of Cassandra... and then the Inquisitor (whether as a friend or a romantic interest).  I hope that after the events of DA: I, Cassandra, the Inquisitor and Cullen collaborate to create a some kind of support network for templars who wish to break the lyrium leash (which was kind of hinted at in some dialogue).  Cassandra becomes the next Divine in my PT, so I like to think that this actually happened since she had a hand in helping Cullen and wished to reform the Chantry.
