I don't mean this in a negative way at all toward those who are into it, but I hope they don't get into the characters having children in the games. It's a nice thought for an epilogue after the chaos but it's not the story I personally want to see play out. But if I'm in the minority I'll deal.

Also... my questions remain...
Can folks sound off with whether they think they're participating on Page 5000 and how likely it is that they'll be done? It helps give me a sense of who to expect/wait for when the time comes.
I am planning on a short piece, hopefully will have together by then. Plan to post on the AO3 page and then link to that here. If I don't finish it (cause the thread is moving really fast) I may post the first part and finish it up later. Hope this helps!

If the Inquisitor isn't a mage, it might be not a good idea to keep her at home at all cost, not letting her power harnessed properly. Remember Chateau Onterre...
If she's a mage, that's another story. I'm rooting for a solution like Papa Hawke. But it also depend if the New Circle/College of Enchanter's offering better possibility.
Why not a school of magic, where it's properly a school (boarding school maybe) but not a prison. Kids go home every other day, for holidays etc. Then at their 18 years old they go to the world & do what they want, having finishing their mandatory training... Okay I'm thinking Hogwarts but can't we have this? A University, College, School, whatever, but not prison.
YES YES YESSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS! I am all for the Circle System in the ways of studying and mastering one's power, but I am very against the rape, abuse, mental/physical/emotional manipulation/torture. The system you described I could see my mage much more likely sending her children to.

Heh, don't throw stones at me, but if my mage!Lavellan I just started has a child with Cullen that's a mage and he wants to send the child to the Circle... I can picture her leaving him in secret with the child to raise the child on her own.

Honestly, that was an easy choice for me.
I really wonder what the DLC is gonna be about.
I sacrificied Ashley both times, and I wasn't romancing Kaidan. I just didn't like the character. But that's getting off topic.
More Cullen with others - this is pretty effing good.http://www.deviantar...ntest-493004914

Don't even get me started on that. That decision had to have been one of the worst/amazing decisions in any Bioware game, at least for me. Considering my one Warden hated Morrigan and was like..."Yeah...you see the door, get the **** out." That same Warden was the one who traumatized me with Alistair's death, lol!
Seconded!
"Thirded" lol
I just sat there. My sister was watching me play and she was all "WTF". The worse was having the montage...could we have scratched that. It was really IN YO FACE!

I just have a sick feeling that Bioware or some of the writers are going to be out in blood in the future DLC/games....which is why I post this:

I don't recall any such emotional manipulation in DAO, I guess except for the landsmeet - and if you're not careful Alistair can be executed. But it's not the same as the lame "choose one or the other for no good reason" thing like with Hawke or Alistair/Stroud/Loghain. I'm not even sure how I'll feel if we find out that whoever got left behind survived.
It depends really on whether you want Wardens in Southern Thedas or not. If you want them to rebuild, a senior Warden will be critical to that process. If you want to get them as far away from the Inquisition as possible due to their connection with Corypheus, then it is down to whoever is more likely to keep Blinky at bay the longest. For the Inquisitor, the decision should be easy - (s)he is not familiar with either Hawke or the Warden. But for us as players... yeah. Cheap shot

Well, I'm thinking about head cannon actually, not in-game. Since my Luthiel Lavellan's having a girl with him in my fanfics ![]()

Ooooh this will make a good story. Also, a Dalish quizzy might want to be back to her Clan with her kid if ever things like that happen no?

I have a penchant for green myself, but I love good blend of strong black tea. Maybe Cullen's so black tea because he's... very British? I just get the hint that he's so British with all his name etc. Also, green tea's much softer & very delicate. Not like him.

I think she would spend some time with her clan if the child is very young, but not stay with them. The child would be a human after all, and likely wouldn't be accepted or have a very good life. Maybe she'll live like Morrigan did with the OGB (funny, because this is my Morrigan look-a-like Lavellan that I'm picturing this happening with)

It wouldn't have been so bad if they had made the cut scene look really unpleasant - you know? Or have it clear that Morrigan used magic to get him in the mood. The way the cut scene played out he looked like he was sort of into it, and she was being all seductress like. At least play it for laughs maybe?

Having Ali sleep with Mori vs US ending is pretty emotional...and manipulating on her part.
Yeah that broke me. :/ I felt like, my super-good Cousland would have to do the ultimate sacrifice, really; I couldn't even harden Alistair because to have her say 'Everyone is out for themselves' would have just been an outright lie, having spent the whole entire game being selfless. But she never would have convinced him to be king if she didn't think she'd be there to help him through it. I could never actually play through the end myself, it was just too damn sad.
Now I think Alistair might have gone on his own once he found out, rather than be separated from his love literally for all time. I know he stops you, but my Cousland could not have carried on if she lost him, too (bearing in mind she had no clue Fergus was still alive.) Or I just fudge the ending in my headcanon one of two ways: Oghren's Joining in Awakenings gets moved up a few months and he can have at it; or my Warden and Alistair knock on Morrigan's door in the middle of the night and hand her a cup and a turkey baster. (Hope that is not too inappropriate for the thread. I just...ugh. It wouldn't have been so bad if male Wardens didn't then get the 'oh I can follow Morrigan and play happy families with her for awhile' option as well, just to rub salt in that wound. But I guess it was my choice to pick Alistair as the romance and roll a female Warden, so that's just how it plays out.)
Edit: sorry, I'm off topic again. On a more relevant note, I do feel like the signs were pointing towards Cullen being ok, long-term, with staying off the lyrium? If Cassandra had been less sure I would feel a lot less confident about it, but given the length of time, I think it's something he'll always have to deal with (as any addict does), but I feel like he can survive it. If BW tries to change that in the future, well, that's what the Keep is for, I guess. :S

Aww, DG will delete his blog next week...
Guh, there goes one of my last few reasons to be on tumblr.
Oohhh thanks!!!
I would sooooo like to try them. Unfortunately for me, I find that tea pretty all much tastes the same.m
Adagio teas really are nicely flavored. Some of the Mass Effect ones (esp. Mordin) are like their own dessert.
Cullen's a middle-ground man. He's not the one who'll say things are either black or white. I don't think he'll do the same thing like that Templar (Thrask?) in DA2 who got a mage kid & tried to hide her, personally I can see him sending her off to a Circle, or whatever the institution they got in the future, for her to training. With heavy heart, probably, but he'll do that. Remember that convo "what if I get possessed"? It says a lot.
??? I interpreted the "I don't think you do" part of the "what if I get possessed" conversation as him saying he wouldn't be able to take her down. Which surprised me.
See I don't think I'd buy it now that we have official confirmation of what he apparently smells like - Elderflower and Oackmoss. I would be tempted to have something custom made to see what that smells like.
I was happy to see my tentative headcanon fragrance partially validated by this. But does anyone have a screenshot where it makes it clear that the artificer was talking about Cullen? The one I saw just says "he" with no antecedent, and I've never gotten that banter in-game.

First, your quizzy's so pretty!
Then yeah... I can picture her doing that. I don't have a kid yet myself but if I was in her place & partner want to send kid away, if I have to choose partner or kid, it'll always be kid.

I have to agree with you. It`s not something that I particularly want to have in the game. No offense to anyone. I don`t even like the fanfics about it...

I haven't played through Adamant with Ali yet - he's still hanging out at Skyhold. So, no letters yet
But, I know which one you are talking about. I may not always choose a paladin class, but I almost always end up with a paladin personality for my characters. So, my Quizzy would definitely give the Wardens a chance to redeem themselves, and Ali, as the senior Warden, would be necessary. Plus, Hawke offers to take on Blinky... ![]()
