How frustrated do you want them to get? I see the desk working perfectly well as a later, celebratory and impulsive moment instead, if you want chocolate to still be involved in that eventual ending

Kind of hard to come up with a really believable excuse for him to have chocolate fondue at his desk when he knew he'd be briefing soldiers (and didn't know for certain you'd be there at all).

I wouldn't let yourself be tied to the assumption that the desk scene was the first time. But I can also see frustrating them further, if done right (and if you aren't tired of the story.)

Someone should write a fanfic/comic about the IQ and Cullen going desk shopping in Orlais so they can try a bunch out and see what works best for them

Guys sorry if this has been asked and answered a bajillion times but does the Cullen chess scene play even if you're not a romanceable IQ?  Just finished it and was curious.  I was thisclose to saying "no thank you" just to see what would happen but I chickened out.

If you want a pointer, something to keep in mind is that the average human face's eyes are generally (but not always) roughly one eye space apart. So if you have eyes a certain size, the space between them should be roughly the same size as one of those eyes.

 

I'm having a whole lotta trouble drawing Cullen's face, personally. I thought this painting for the 5k would be done by now but I've been so paranoid about painting his face in this particular piece that I've been putting it off in favor of other projects. I was half thinking I'd submit it for the art contest instead, too. But no, it's perfect for the 5k and I should come up with something new for the contest. I need to learn to be brave. sob

That's good, and that was intended! Most people typically write Fen'Harel as a plain devious monster, but I decided I wanted to explore him more than what most do. While my Fen'Harel is devious, I wanted him to also be seen as "human". Fen'Harel will appear much more like the Fen'Harel we know from the Dalish tales when the story is complete...because reasons....

What do you mean? I played a male character and still encountered the chess scene, so... yes? You just don't get the flirt option. (Or maybe you do; I don't remember.)

Okay I wasn't sure if it was just a romance related scene or a general advisor scene. That's nice that you can still get to play with him as a broski and bond.  Immediately after that scene I have the "start a romance" option so that's what made me wonder.

 

If anyone is curious, I did a test and declined chess and he said "of course", the scene ended, then I was still able to start a romance after.

OMG!!! Garrus was my #1 boo til Cullen came along...now they are almost dead even with Cullen maybe ahead by the tiniest hair!
