Oh I wish I could remember what he says - I played as a 2H warrior the first time I romanced him.  But I ended up going with Champion.  Yes please post!

There's actually more to it. I had the conversation about becoming a templar with my other warrior, who ultimately became a Champion. So far, I've heard of one additional conversation and one change in conversation. Also, if you ask him to take lyrium (for now), there are at least two other changes. I want to explore all these with Rhiannon's playthrough.

Hi Cullenites, I'm usually a lurker around here and have started following more closely now that I'm about to romance him. On FB I found this nice link on Chinese Face Reading applied to the Lion of Honnleath and thought it worth sharing. Hope you enjoy it as much as I did  :)

Whew, that's scarily accurate! Very Cullen-y. And guess that the person's writing that is correct, this is why he's so hard to approach... IRL I can imagine a quite reclusive guy who has few but very very very good friends & close ones.

I'm happy that the bond between him & cass is very very strong.

Banters got better too or not? I've remarked that some of my companions are very silent, some other are very chatty & I could have same banter twice. Varric, Dorian & Bull & Cass & Cole are very very chatty, Blackwall not at all, Blackwall & Cole = Zero interaction. Sera is also silent in my game, which is sad...

And do you guys notice whether the messenger banter of advisors got fixed too? I can only get Josie's and sometimes Cullen, never got any from Leliana.

I think so far I only got one with Cullen and one with Leliana, but i constantly get Josephine's ones.

Have you brought Sera with Solas or IB? She gets quite chatty with them in my games. I haven't hear her speaking to Viv yet,  though. BW and Viv are like cat and dog and I got quite a bit of interaction between BW and Cole when I first got to Crestwood.

Yup, I always rotate the companions to get banters. I've just passed hours in the Exalted Plains yesterday with Sera, Solas & IB & it was... silent. Solas talsk but not with Blackwall nor Sera. Weird because I know there are equal banters for all. TBH in this PT Sera hasn't say a word yet.

Didn't recruit Viv though in this PT so IDK.

Hmmm... bugs?

Wow thanks, I didn't know that! Noticed! Mind if I quote you & put it in the Drawing Group forum?

Aww haha, I'm no expert in drawing at all but if you think it will help others down the line then by all means :)

Be brave! Your art is awesome! You should def enter that contest. :D

Thank you! I will try my best. Hopefully what I have in mind doesn't end up being too grand in scale for my current skill level, lol ;v;

Maybe? I'm still not sure how the banter works and how it is affected by battle, because I think it is in some way affected by how often you fight.

(Sera and Cole also have interesting things to say to each other)

I've noticed that, too. Depending on whom who have in your group there is either a very long silence or the companions get very chatty. Cassandra and Varric talk with each other, Sera and The Iron Bull do, too, and there are some great banters with Sera and Vivienne. But other combinations are not very chatty at all. I belive that this a bug and that the party banter doesn't always trigger right. I so hope they can/will patch it.

That's really quite accurate. Although I do believe that characters personalities play a huge part when it comes to their  models, so I'm not even surprised ;). But the Chinese Face Reading approach is definitely interesting :).

So is there an emerging consensus on the patch? On day 1, there were folks complaining about getting stuck in Walk mode and weird things like that, so I'm staying clear for a bit, particularly since I'm mid playthrough. But, sounds like you folks aren't having any problems...?

I didn't have any problems with the patch. Everything works as before for me.

Personally I've had no problems with the patch. Banter does seem to fire more often now, I've had a few more of the adviser ones in skyhold since patching whereas before I had about one or two on my entire playthrough. Touch wood I haven't run into the walk toggle bug or the crafting bug people have been reporting. Also you can now play MP without worrying about the sodding key not dropping, played quite a few games last night and had no issues.

Huh, that is an interesting read. Thanks for sharing.

It's funny... I've been writing a new short story about Cullen, and part of it was prompted by y'all, imagining a scene where Cullen would tell the Inquisitor about his past trauma. The prompt got me writing a different kind of story, but this piece of it was still in there. And then, I got to the part where I had expected him to open up about his trauma... and it just didn't happen. It couldn't happen. Writing him in character, I found there was no way he was going to open up, and in fact, next thing I know... he's giving short, "I'm fine, let's just move along" answers to my pushy Inquisitor. LOL So, I guess I find that part particularly right on.

The most banter I get is with the Cass, Dorian, and Bull party. I did get quite a bit in the beginning with Solas, Varric and Cass too, as well as what seems like a ton with Cole and Solas together, regardless of who the 3rd companion is.

I played a few hours last night and did not run into any patch bugs. Banter was good, but I never had the banter bug so don't know if there was anything really fixed there ;)

Huh. I've had Solas, Blackwall and Sera together a lot, and they're chatty. IIRC, was it Blackwall that asks Solas if elves call elfroot something else...? LOL Specifically, I was in the Exalted Plains when Sera gave Solas and I a hard time about our relationship. But, I have no idea what  factors affect them. :(

I haven't had any issues. I can't comment on walk mode as I play with the compatible 360 controller so I could always walk.

It worked fine for me. I'm on PC. Funny thing is that I had to install the patch. When I started Origin there was a pop-up window telling me something like: "There is an update for Inquisition. You can't play the game unless you install the update". I'm so happy that everything still works.

Speaking of walking, is there any way how you can switch from running to walking on PC? It's just a minor complain but it didn't feel right to run around in the winter palace ;). I've tried every key. Nothing seems to work.

You can bypass that requirement on Origin by switching to Offline, which is what I did.

On walking, I've heard that it's not automatically bound to any key. So you can go into your key mappings and set it. I've not done it myself, tho. And, I agree that it's less decorous to run around the palace... except that I was on the clock! LOL

Been thinking about my favorite Bioware man next to Cullen and I was compelled to make a scholarly, in-depth venn diagram that compares the two.

*Snip*

..um, yea, i just love them..alot  totally half-arsed the other half of the diagram though

I particularly love "illegally attractive voice".  ^_^

Just as a side-thought regarding the PC version - I'm surprised more folks aren't using the controller. It doesn't really work well if you're playing at higher difficulties and need to use commands a lot, but it's awesome for playing on casual or normal. Walk or run as slowly or quickly as you want depending on how hard you push the stick. The controller vibrates too. The camera movement is so nice. Don't get me wrong, I use keyboard and mouse for a lot of games, but for this (and Skyrim), it's controller all the way!

P.S. - it also makes using flycam SO MUCH EASIER!

I`m relieved! Would you know if DA:O is? Does it matter if the game was purchased through Steam?
