So is there an emerging consensus on the patch? On day 1, there were folks complaining about getting stuck in Walk mode and weird things like that, so I'm staying clear for a bit, particularly since I'm mid playthrough. But, sounds like you folks aren't having any problems...?

I haven't played the game much after the patch but apparently the stuck in walk mode is due to the command in origins that allows you to get uncapped fps in cutscenes. Can't be bothered to test it but if true I prefer to keep my smooth cutscenes. Another, minor problem is that crafted shields have level 0 - I wouldn't even care on my other pts but this one is my s&s and I make a quick run so resources are scarce. Not a game breaking thing though.

Hey everyone! Just wanted to stop by and see how things are going here, and I saw this. Never noticed how many things Cullen and Garrus had in common. I noticed the calibration thing though. XD But I'm a hardcore Thane fan. I prefer dangerous aliens/humans who could kill you without blinking. Cullen is an exception in my line of favorites. But I'm so glad I met him.    

 

And now, the bad news. My DAI PT has been delayed a LOT more than I anticipated. Won't be able to stay around much... and won't be back any time soon. XD So uh, have fun everyone!

Patrick weekes picked the right song! "I used to live alone before I knew you..etc." personally I like "remember when I moved in you, the holy dark was moving too"...gives me shiiiiivers.....

Oh, yes!  It's something I discovered on my last playthrough that let me romance both Solas and Cullen at the same time.  Here, I'll copy/paste the explanation I posted elsewhere.  Keep in mind that I'm not 100% sure if it's repeatable.

 

My Lavellan kissed Solas in the Fade, and then immediately after when she woke up she agreed with Solas that it was best to remain friends by hitting the broken heart icon.  Despite this, Solas acknowledged the kiss after his personal quest on the balcony.  I thought, "Oh well why the hell not?", and had my Lavellan kiss him after he brought it up again.  The romance flag didn't actually lock her into it, however, and Solas will continue to call her Lethallan and Friend; neither will Sera, Vivienne, or the gossipers acknowledge their romance.  I was then free to pursue the Cullen romance, because I assumed what happened must have been a fluke.  I just headcanoned that they decided it couldn't work out and it was some time later (after Cullen's personal quest, Perseverance, in fact) that I initiated the Cullen romance.  Cullen's romance will lock in, and be acknowledged in his dialogue and outside gossip.

 

At the Winter Palace, Lavellan can request a dance from both Cullen and Solas, but it will be Cullen who will pursue her on the balcony to dance.

 

The end, after the Temple of Mythal, was when things became interesting.  Solas's romance scene does trigger and my Lavellan had the choice to remove her vallaslin.  Solas's tarot card actually changed to his romanced one, too, despite his romance technically not being active.  You also have the "romance dialogue" with him after that scene, asking him what happened when he "dumped" Lavellan.  The end scenes play out exactly as if she's romancing Cullen and Solas. (Example: Solas will tell her "what they had was real" and Lavellan still gets to hug Cullen when she returns)

Thanks for sharing! I think I might try to recreate the bug. The only thing that would make me even happier is a polyamory bug for my Warden, Alistair and Cullen - in a DLC that displays a similar scenario like the one in the second picture.

I love the art, btw. Mello's drawings are always awesome.

Ahh, this is so great. A bit too pricey for me, especially if you add the shipping fee, but it would be so cool to have some of this tea. I hope some of you can report on how it tastes.

I've seen the group yesterday and thought about joining it. I need a motivation - and a bit of pressure - to draw or I'll never get anything done. But I also want to write and I'm not sure if I have the time for both.

So~ after finishing what was probably my tenth playthrough and hitting a bit of a slump on what to do next, I decided to get over the learning curve and start modding the game to freshen it up a bit. Yey.

 

The first victim was the Skyhold PJ. Until I find a more user-friendly guide to cheat engine they're still just jammies and not my beautiful painstakingly crafted dragon bone armor, but hey, at least they're Inquisitor jammies now.

Second was the game's lighting. Sweet FX is a bit dark for playing, but it makes all the difference for screencapping.

And last (and sort of OT but well) was removing the masks from Gaspard and Briala, because after the end of TME I don't buy either of them being willing to play the Game on Celene's terms anymore. They look fierce sans masks, and the night gets a pretty different tone when only Celene and Florianne are playing the court:

Question for those who've been modding longer: do you guys know of any detailed guide on how to use cheat engine to keep your armor at Skyhold? So far all the "guides" I've found are basically "open CE / ???? / profit." Also, any detailed guide on how to use the Halamshiral Finery recolor? Most guides to that one are also on the "you need a fake patch / ??? / profit" level of helpfulness.

I understand your dilemma - I have the same problem. But, joining will do no harm You can see what the rest of the group is working on, you can give helpful tips and critiques Most of all, it's a good place to go squee over Cullen

Ahh, Briala looks gorgeous! Thanks for posting those. For some reason her wearing the mask felt so off in that mission, even though it kinda sorta makes sense. Since she was wearing a simple dress, I assumed that she chose to blend in as a servant and therefore have access to places and information she wouldn't have normally. Still, I am definitely removing masks from both of them.

Words cannot describe how still disappointed I am with all the Masked Empire cameos, since the book set the intrigue so nicely. I guess to fulfill my expectations the plot of the whole game, or at least several major quests would have to revolve solely around ME characters, still...

I'm with you on the Masked Empire cameos all falling short of expectations. I know half of the blame falls on our own expectations, but even then, the whole quest felt... nonsensical?

Like, why does Celene need the Inquisitor to find some Fereldan mercenary to testify against Gaspard to be able to arrest him for treason when he openly attacked her with an army before? And why does Gaspard need to resort to gossip and petty threats now when the last time he attempted this he had an army behind him? None of it makes any sense, or feels like a proper resolution to the novel.

 

And don't get me started on the criminal treatment of Michel, or I'll be crying about him all night. From the most interesting character in the whole novel, with the most potential for an awesome follow up, to an irrelevant NPC mouthpiece with a couple lines and a war table mission non-resolution. Even the fact that he's working under Cullen now has so much potential for storytelling... pity it all runs down to a few banter lines and never gets addressed again.

I found these instructions in the FAQ to be helpful.  I haven't used Cheat Engine before DA: I, either.

 

1. Load Dragon Age Inquisition game. 

2. Open Cheat Engine 6.4 (64-bit version)

3. Open cheat table (download the .CT in this post) with CE. (Menu > File > Load) Hit yes when asked if you want to run LUA. 

4. Open DragonAgeInquisition.exe process with CE. (Menu > File > Open Process > Select "DragonAgeInquisition.exe" > Open) 

 

That should load the associated table on Cheat Engine, and you'll see a series of things you can toggle, including "Toggle skyhold outfit"

 

 

I hope that helps.  I'm not the best at explaining computer-y stuff since I'm still learning myself and am relatively new to modding and the PC gaming community.

lol I am so bad, I am doing a Solas romance atm but Cullen keeps getting in the way so I ended up having a little non committed romance with him on the side, when the game allows my inq is going to come to the realisation she really wants to be with Cullen and will break the little elf's heart.
