Well, they still look cartoony in DAI, but in DA2 they look more comic book-esc, if that makes sense?

 

That's just the style of Dragon age in general i'd say.

 

The graphics still look alot better obviously.

Gosh, I hope they're still amber. It'll only be his goatee left from his signature look if they've changed his eye colour!

I agree,hopefully they'll leave his eye colour intact...I'd hate to see a blue eyed or whatever-eyed Cullen.

I think DAI hit a nice balance between the realistic appearance of DAO and very stylized looks of DA2. There's a sort of sweet spot, and I'm hoping DAI's found it. It looks nice enough so far.

 

It's certainly a toss up between the two, isn't it. I still feel like Cullen's DAI model looks less recognisable to his DA2 model when you compare it to both Varric and Cassandra's DAI and DA2 models. Still, we haven't seen him up close yet and the noodle hair appears to have had a complete revamp, so it's no wonder really.

 

... There's something terribly amusing about the fact that Cullen's hair has got lighter and lighter over the course of 3 games, though! Gotta love that lyrium dye job! I swear he looks even more like Spike from Buffy now!

Man, I get so uptight when they completely change a characters eye colour over the course of two or three games! I mean, slight changes are to be expected, but when someone jumps from brown eyes to blue suddenly it may as well just be a different character, LOL!

Well, in DAO he spent a lot of time in the tower, and I doubt they could leave very often. And in DA2 when he wasn't standing in the courtyard I'd bet he was in his office in the Gallows. In DAI I like to image him camped out in the woods, roughing it. Lots of sun!

That works as a decent enough hand wave, LOL! I guess the change in hairstyle can just be put down to the fact that he hasn't had time to cut his hair for a few months or something.

Me too!  I love Carver he just has the best 'GFY attitude!'  I'm sorry to all the Bethany fans but I mostly let her get squished just so I can hear moar of Carver's growling in my DA2 games.  I guess they'll just pick one and run with it, if he's in.  I didn't think of that at aspect at all, I get so used to thinking of my Hawke's family as *the* family that I completely forgot they are variable in appearance.  I wonder if this means that they're a less likely to be carried through, I suppose it probably does.

You're both right. The cullen.mor file in DAO has his eye color listed as amber, but the cullen.mor file in DA2 says hazel.

The studio he mentions does do Bioware stuff.  But it could as easily be the Witcher, since he played someone in that, or something else.

lol idk why but for a looong time i thought Cullens eyes are green .. must be some kind of color blind
