Mira then left the chapel and found her lavender eyes grow cold at the thought of The Maker assisting her in her ordeal. “The Maker has abandoned me…why else would he let this happen to me…happen to us.” She thought to herself with her lips still curled into the perfect smile, yet her eyes were absent of any light that her smile may had feigned.

 

This is a different scene:

 

At first she tried to stay normal, but every night that she rested her head on his chest…she could feel the weight of her secret starting to choke her. Cullen also began to notice that she was growing more distant from him and he made all the more effort to hold her, kiss her, love her…but nothing changed; nothing lightened the burden she kept hidden.

You are right, of course. I would hate to miss ppl's contributions because they would be too shy to participate in a competition.

You have nothing to be nervous about, that was lovely. I think you captured Cole's voice really well. And all that alliteration makes it very poetic.

Thanks, guys. Writing Cole was fun. Sometimes I'd step back and ask myself, "Are you going a little over the top here?" And I'd answer, "Always alliterate! Always!"

I wouldn't join a competition, but I do like little fan events where people just join in and share for fun, so I'd make an effort to participate if you organized something like that. It would have to be way towards the end of February, though, as 5k is approaching way too fast as it is and holding the two too close might just divide efforts. But I like the idea!

If you side with the templars in DA2, Hawke says the templars in Kirkwall started using red lyrium, became paranoid and threatened him, he left Kirkwall because of this. Cullen was the Commander of the templars at time, if even Hawke knew about the red lyrium, how could Cullen not know about it?

Who left Kirkwall? Hawke or Cullen? I don't remember that anyone left because of the Red Templars but I haven't played DA2 for so long. Now, I can't find a proper source but Cullen admids in one conversation with the Inquisitor that he was too oblivious in Kirkwall and that he didn't see things he should have. That's my explanation why he let let some things 'slip'.

Same here. I already have an actual story that I am writing for, so I have to make sure I update that. Then I also have my Cullen fic....so I'm pretty busy as of this moment. Although, I do really like the idea and would love to join in...if time allows me.

Yeah, I am in the same boat.  Got so much writing to do for work (adviser wants a MS from me by the end of next week). Keep getting pulled back to my older giant fic (cuase of Alistair showing up in the game!) and the idea I have for the Cullen one is turning into a damned beast!  May just post one chapter of it for the 5k...

Oh, for sure! I thought end of Feb would be reasonable. International women's day is beginning of March, so a Valentine's theme should still be in tune even by the end of Feb

Lol, I'm only writing one chapter for my Cullen fic and it is a beast! So I wish you luck with your whole Cullen story, I'm pretty sure mine will remain one chapter unless people REALLY want me to continue the story.

Thanks for the explanation. I always assumed that the red Templars were a splinter cell and under no ones controll. So, if they harrassed the Viscount, Cullen doesn't have to know about that. But I see your point and I agree that there are some blanks.

That's awesome! Funny thing is that Steve Valentine tweeted somthing similar on the 21st of January about recording ringtones for fans (but he didn't say if it was DAI related).

Yeah, whereas I'm willing to try to enter an official contest because I'm not personally affiliated in any way with the people who will be judging it, I'm reluctant to enter contests held among peers because of many of the reasons others have listed. Still though, I appreciate the cute idea!

 

I can't promise I'll be able to come up with something for Valentine's because I already have a few pieces lined up I really need to work on (including the piece I'm almost done with for the 5k sob), but I might do a quick doodle for the occasion if some inspiration hits me \o/
