I'm just going to stay in this thread. It's scary out there. :\
Also, a bit off topic (okay, way off topic) but does anyone have a recommended party build for

Pray? I have always found it the hardest fight in the game
Even worse when Zevran is you're boyfriend so you bring him everywhere, but in truth he is pure sh!t compared to other followers in a fight >.>

lol. I'll just go ahead with the standard run-and-hide option then. I gave it a shot with Alistair (
), Wynne, and Oghren. Wynne was the last one standing and all I could do was sit there and scream "TENTACLESSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS"

Ha! No...that is Tolkien. It is the song that Galadriel sings as they leave. One of my favorite songs in the Lord of the Rings.
O Lórien! The Winter comes, the bare and leafless Day;
The leaves are falling in the stream, the River flows away.
O Lórien! Too long I have dwelt upon this Hither Shore
And in a fading crown have twined the golden elanor.
But if of ships I now should sing, what ship would come to me,
What ship would bear me ever back across so wide a Sea?
It makes me think of home. I am a melancholy soul! ![]()

Yeah, FYI, it's terribly bugged it seems, since most folks don't get it even if you have Alistair and Morrigan at Skyhold, as I currently do.David Gaider had commented on the Alistair-Morrigan-"meeting":

You didn't mention your own class so makes it a little harder to build a party to recommend, but general recommendations: bring Alistair fully specced into Powerful, Shield Defense tree, Shield Block tree, Templar and Champion (he should have at least 2/3 as many points in Dexterity as he does in Strenght. Constitution is not half as important as Dex), and Zevran fully specced into Dirty Fighting tree, Below the Belt tree, Dual-Weapon Training, Duelist and Assassin (he should be specced 2:1 in Dexterity and Cunning, again Constitution is not as important). If you're not a mage yourself, bring Wynne fully specced into Spirit Healer, Cold tree, Glyph tree, and Mind Blast tree. If your Warden is a mage, bring Sten instead, fully specced into Powerful, Reaver, and his weapon tree (again he needs 2:1 Strenght/Dexterity, like Alistair).
Ideally you should have very few ranged characters in this fight. The space is tight, and you need your meleers to aggro and distract the tentacles and mooks while your ranger either heals the party and debuffs enemies (if mage), or takes enemies out from a distance (if archer).

Or, you could just have Alistair and Zev distract the mooks while Morrigan and yourself cast Storm of the Century and pretty much obliterate everything.

I did this.. and it still didn't happen. First Wicked Hearts, talked to Morrigan in the garden, met Keiran, then went to Crestwood, back to Skyhold, checked the garden, still nothing... to Western Approach, back to Skyhold garden, still nothing.. finally gave up and did Adamant. ![]()

I'm there with you... As in literally there. Our blizzard prediction is "only" two feet, but our freak out lines at the gas station have started.
At least number one son is looking forward to the snow day!
Good grief:
Snow accumulations of around 20 to 30" with locally higher amounts. Snowfall rates of 2 to 4" an hour at times. The worst of the storm is supposed to be Monday night thru Tuesday afternoon. Travel will be impossible and life threatening across the entire region.

Well, this is cute: a little Cullen mod that turns that little vein on his cheek into a second scar, for a slightly more rugged look.
(spoiler for size)
It's just a teeny tiny modification, but I like it! Scars are hot. ![]()

I dunno...it's cool and all, but I'm personally not too keen on changing anything about his face. If they could make noodle-hair, or give me higher-rez hair I'd be all for it. But the face stays as-is. ![]()
I couldn't even change Alistair except for whitening his teeth.

Re: broodmother, playing twice as a mage I've never had a problem with this fight regardless of who I bring in the party. I just ignored the tentacles as much as possible and spammed Winter's Grasp / Cone of Cold and sometimes Stonefist on the Broodmother herself and it always ended quickly. I assume you could have Morrigan do the same, or just spam whatever the hardest-hitting archer talents are if an archer is your preferred ranged fighter.

Yeah, if you want to avoid snowblindness you can use "Change theme" at the bottom left and choose "Bioware dark (beta)" It was a godsend when they added it.

Yeah, same. My favorite part from the NWS warning:

TRAVEL...HAVE A WINTER SURVIVAL KIT WITH YOU."
TBH, this Arizona girl begins to think a freak out is warranted. ![]()

Yeah, I'm pretty much figuring it will be this all over again:

P.S. that is iliterally my driveway a couple years ago...snow too tall for the snowblower. It took them three days to clear my street. ![]()

Alright, I give up. I've been sifting through the pages of this thread to no avail: which one of you has written A Second Chance? It's a Lavellan/Cullen fanfic on AOO. Because I absolutely loved it!!! It's awesome
So emotional. I could practically feel Cullen's restlessness ![]()
So, whoever wrote it: please keep writing, 'cause you are amazing
That's all I wanted to say. I'm waaaay behind with all the fanfics I have bookmarked from this thread, but I promise, I will go through them all. Slowly...

A few people have gotten it. I might be wrong since I've only gotten it once and I've done 4 playthroughs now but I'm pretty sure that I went to Crestwood first, got Alistair, exhausted all of his dialogue, then went and did Wicked Hearts, got Kiernan's cut scene and exhausted all of Morrigan's dialogue, went to do some random side quest stuff, came back to the Garden and they were there.
Fluffy Ninja Llama has it up now too.

If you read the comments on the vid, Fluffy Ninja couldn't get it to fire with the vanilla game and had to manually change a plot flag.
So far I haven't heard of anybody getting it to fire correctly with Ali as the father, only with Loghain or the Warden. All others were manually fired.
