I think they are mabari, not lions.

Ahh that would make sense, tho they looked like lions from a distance, but ahh well there goes my theory lol

 

All though its rather unclear, whereas the heads look mabari.  Mabari don't have long tails and the bodies looks more like lions to me.

My daughter showed me you tube last night with Cullen videos wow there awesome kinda didn't get no playtime in watching the Theres one thousand years ugh that's so good!! Thinking Hubby might have to commit me lol Thank you so much Bioware cause when I'm not playing it I'm wishing I was!

I have the same problem, i mean to romance other male characters but stupid sexy Cullen keeps being too hard to resist

I did notice the other day....yes I am embarrassed that it has taken me that long to see...but the Ferelden flag has two lions on it. I'm guessing it has something to do with that seeing as he is Fereldan.

Mmm, but culturally there's no connection. Plus those things on the flag look an awful like the dogs statues you see throughout Ferelden, probably associated with the Alamarri.

"Resistance is futile"   I've tried and failed on more than one occasion now NOT to romance Cullen, you would think it should be easy, just don't flirt with the dude but no, it's not easy atall

I got the PJ recolour mod to work, YaY! My quizzy is now sporting black and it looks super It also changed her under garments on her mage armour but it still looks great so I don't mind that one bit

I have done about 7 play-through's and at the beginning of every one, I tell myself, you need to romance someone else this time. Why not create a male IQ and romance Cassandra or Dorian. (There is no way in hell I would romance Blackwall and I don't play Elf, so no Solas for me)

 

Needless to say, it always ends up being Cullen.

lol I have this un official random story roaming about my head that the inq was from a different world linked by the fade and when the fade ripped open it caused a vacuum, tearing a hole on the other side, pulling the inq through. When she defeated Corypheus it pulled her back through to her own world and Cullen desperately tried to find a way to get her back...this video was an inspiration lol   I may need confining lol

I had to play a guy in my 2nd pt, and I had to try to make him as hot as possible so I could forgive myself for not romancing cullen. Shot down, on to dorian.

But since you've romanced him oodles of times, are there any variations between the classes you play? I'm gonna be an elf two handed warrior who becomes a templar since I've already done mage elf. He makes elfy comments and mage comments there, but can I look forward to more? I'll play every class if it means I can get all his convo options!!

I see stylized mabaris there, too. They look like the statues you see in the Hinterlands. Honestly I don't see mabaris not being Ferelden's number one visual cue.

But even if we entertain the possibility that they might be lions, inherited imagery from the old tribes as R2 proposed, fact still remains that Orlais invaded Ferelden and half tore it apart only 35~something years ago, and most people over a certain age (specially those in nobility) would still be bitter about anything that reminds of Orlais, and specially of the usurper. Regardless of one's headcanon on how loyal to Ferelden Cullen is or is not, he still was born shortly after the reunification and likely grew up on tales of the war - add to that his general disdain for Orlesian society and nobility, and I can't really see him wanting to associate with such a topically Orlesian (and Valmontian) theme as lions.

I'm glad that helmet is gone, tbh, it really had nothing to do with him.

My hubby is the exact same way get his coffee and breakfast in morning as he's walking out the door hes like don't have to much fun with your game bf!!! Ugg it is hopeless look have three going here figured on could with someone else but forget it I give up. After all these years they saved the best for this one so glad,. Well going to see if maybe Nah just going to hook with Cullen maybe I can get him out of my blood maybe 5th times a charm. Wink-wink
