I assume you all have seen this? I followed Melissa's link earlier. I'm crying.
OMG!! So funny! Wynne can boogie too!!! HAHAHHAHHAHAH!

I've always liked the one where Alistair is like a Chippendale's Dancer but I'm too lazy to go look for it.
OMG that thriller video had just killed me. I'm dead, literally.

Holy crap! i just read your "To Remember" fic. You are satan!
Why did I read that? Damnit! Off to find chocolate...
FYI, it was fabulous...
Yes, all you need to do is turn it on and position yourself through her face in time when the moment arrives. I giffed an angle of it:
*snip*
Pretty much any cutscene can be screencapped from new angles as long as your camera is at the right place. The most annoying thing about snapping shots of cutscenes is the inability to pause or slow down time. ;-;
It should be noted that some scenes don't line up properly by just positioning the camera through the IQ's face. I guess sometimes the animating team mussed up a bit. This one is a perfect example - he's actually looking slightly over her left shoulder:

I'm not sure if standalone SweetFX offers the same capabilities, but if you use it through RadeonPro you get access to a very nice rapid-fire screenshot button. It fires at about 3fps, which is pretty much as fast as my DSLR camera.
I think you have to go outside "what you know" for any character you're writing, tho. I mean, I've never been an elf or a mage either. That being said, I love writing from Cullen's point of view and I do it quite a bit.
Totally, and I like writing from the woman's perspective, from what she feels, to what she sees, because I feel I'd describe it accurately. Maybe I'm afraid some guy will think "wtf is she talking about??"

I have a similar fear, except it has to do with love scenes. The only thing I get nervous about when writing men is writing them in love scenes... because I don't have that male body and so don't know what it feels in, er, certain places lol There are also certain... acts... I've never performed, and that can be tough to write as well lol
I find writing women to be so hard. They are almost always bland and cliche... I struggle to create dynamic, interesting women. I think my best effort so far has been the female best friend of one of my main characters. He's still way, way easier to write though lol
Can I use her face textures and her eyebrow mod too? Thanks!
To my knowledge, yes. Her latest eyebrow package does not replace any face textures, just the in-game CC brows. She has an alternate face texture that replaces one of the stock textures. This can be used in conjunction with her brow package. I'm not sure which texture it replaces since I haven't used it as I'm actually using a nice one that fontofnothing put together for me. Please note that it cannot be used in conjunction with any other mod that replaces the same texture.
I think it'll be easier to write from such an established character's pov. We know his gestures and tones of voice, and it doesn't hurt that the game's facial expressions are wicked good
And I find it tougher to write established characters (fanfic) versus original characters >.< I guess because it's someone else's creation?! And I have a lot of anxiety about going outside that creation (ooc).
Also, for this shot, he's not looking anywhere near her face. This was actually one of the hardest 1st person shots to get:

This one was quite difficult as well as you actually have to move the camera in time with his movements...

Yes, I'm a very sad sad person to have spent uber hours figuring out the camera "sweet-spots" ![]()
LOL Bless Greg Ellis's little soul... I love hearing him say just about anything, but I would *never* use this as a ringtone.
I just had a chance to listen to think (grrrr... work) and I lol'd. The cat jumped.
And to whoever posted the tumblr link, thank you! As big of a nerd as I am though, I can't imagine getting an, "Inquisitor, it's for you" at work. I'd totally do it around my equally nerdy friends though.

I have the same problem! So I have to give them some kind of horrible thing to make up for that...like they have split-personality syndrome or they are a drunk or something terrible happened to them or they are just evil. I find it impossible to write an interesting, yet well-adapted human being without it being cliche. Well..plus...i like to torture my characters...so there is that too!! ![]()
I play on a PS4, so can't manipulate the camera to get all the amazing first-person shots the talented MelissaGT is able to get, but I love this screen capture of a tired, but happy and relieved Cullen after my Inquisitor returns to Skyhold from the epic battle in the sky against the insane darkspawn magister:

For those of you interested in good Cullen smut - hoo boy. It's getting hot in here.
So, I have two questions now. First, will it be possible for modders to add body hair textures to the dudes in the game? And second, what on earth does Lavellan shout during sex with Solas? I mean, "Oh, Elgar'nan!" seems like it would just ****** him off, right? ![]()

I understand what you mean, sometimes it's quite hard to write something that you've never experienced before. How about asking advices & descriptions from others? Or like for writing women characters, based them on real person you know? Mix & match of several friends maybe? TBH when I wrote Cullen on one of my fanfic that's the mix of my BF & my dad & my best friend (well, Cullen's dad there... so need a father figure).
They say... Kamasutra was written by a virgin (IDK whether this is true, & never read that so IDK)...
(Which make me wonder, how many love-making does those who wrote smuts do every night?)
Melissa GT, how in the world did you make your gorgeous snow white?!? I zoomed all the way to page 4787 to look at her proportions and I just cant get her right!! Bah!
I just love how she turned out. She's my favorite IQ by far. I do have a gallery of sliders for her. The eyebrows and eyeliner are mods, but everything else is vanilla.
(OT, but maybe it will be helpful to someone)
Just noticed something that wasn't in the notes for patch 3: research items have been removed from the sell table! So you can't accidentally sell them anymore, and they don't count towards your inventory load now. Yey!
Yay!!! Thank you! I just can't get her nose right! And all the way from all those pages ago, I never forget a pretty faceI just love how she turned out. She's my favorite IQ by far. I do have a gallery of sliders for her. The eyebrows and eyeliner are mods, but everything else is vanilla.

Oh and whats the eyeliner mod you used?
It's fontofnothing's and she posted it here:

Say Melissa, do you by chance have any screenshot of Cullen frontal like this one, but with full face & hair? I'm trying to sketch people frontal face & don't get any screenshot of Cullen frontal like that. ![]()

Seriously Melissa, you should be DAI's official "photographer"! Your images are better than anything on the official site!!!
Have you considered entering something in the Bioware competition? Like an "Images of Thedas" scrapbbok type thing? Or a calendar? Seriously, I think you would have a shot at winning something. The Bioware folks have to recognize how much work it takes to get those amazing shots...
You know I guess sliders arent always perfect or I suck at matching them somehow. I matched your jaw and they were out to here! I'll settle for distant elven cousin
Hmmm, for her I started with the 1st preset and I think it's the "base" face shape for that preset.
