I thought about doing that but I don't want to mess with the computer too much since it's brand new and I'm not super computer savvy. I am just hoping BioWare will fix the problem eventually.

Want to know a dirty secret? I once was so tired of writing sex scenes that I copied a sex scene I'd written for my RP, changed a few words, and pasted it into the story I was working on. It was such a relief lol

Just chiming in and trying to say this delicately...my boyfriend actually described for me...in detail (he has a very scientific approach to things) what things feel like to a guy (I asked to him for writing purposes a long time ago).  It was actually pretty fascinating and not at all what I imagined (being a women). So...in my attempts at writing smut from a male's POV...I use his descriptions for...ummm...things.

 

I plan to post the smut chapters in my DAO fic at some point and I am so nervous about the comments....eek!  Maybe I should scratch it...

*shrugs* Not so dirty, I've done it. Considering this one forum I used to be a part of had sex going on about 24/7*it used to be really good, then the newbs got freaky with their characters*. I applaude those who write erotic novels for their whole writing career, I could never do it.

Ah, who the hell knows, right?  I mean everyone is so different.  I've read some smut written by women and am like "eww...you actually dig that?" and then others I'm like "yep...that sounds awesome."  Men are just as complex and variable, I assume.  Smut for everyone!  Hooray!!!

I mean, I can never hear Cullen telling the messenger he liked the present Josie gave, after I heard Josie tallking to the messenger about sugar and butter? Also, can I still hear about Carroll after I killed him in emerald graves? I am hesitating to start the war table quest because of this.

I don't really get any ambient messenger banter at all. My game is rock-stable, yet banter is almost non-existent.

I have only met the messenger once in Cullen's office, while I have seen her several times with Josie and never with Leliana lol. I made a save when I saw the messenger at Cullen's place and managed to get a few banter via loading. But I never got the birthday one nor the present one, hence the question.

I don't think I could ever write a smut scene. At least, not the type that frequently pops up in fanfic. Someone would be falling over, stubbing their toe, delivering horrible pick up lines they know are horrible, ect.

 

My opinion is that if you can't laugh about it you're doing it wrong. ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)

In my experience, smut scenes have a tendency when you start adding people... too many limbs to account for.  However, it does make for some interesting reading.  I actually had to physically draw it out just so I knew position of limbs, persons and intended acts.  Ended up getting really awkward looks from my spouse when he saw them.  (I don't think he'll ever look at stick figures the same way again.)

And now I'm off to continue writing my fic.  I'll check back in later.

The ones that are with our lovely human Quizzy are almost all Mage too. I think my nest one will center on my female human Templar lady.

So why do you guys think it is? Or those who write, why do you chose that mating pair mostly? Just curious.

So why do you guys think it is? Or those who write, why do you chose that mating pair mostly? Just curious.

I suspect a good lot of that is because of the templar/mage dynamic being popular.

I won't guess on the whys because people will like what they like, but just to throw you some general support for your possible next fic: do it!  It's incredibly hard to find Cullen fics with rogue or warrior Inquisitors (or even non-mage Hawkes, come to think of it) so, for those few of us who don't read mage stuff, every little fic counts. Do it!

I understand the Mage/ Templar idea, just seems like most of them are female elf with him.

 

 

I am already working on it now Hope to have chapter one up in a day or so. She is a Warrior/Templar with a very tormented and rough past. She is definitely a woman who has been brutalized both mentally and physically and needs a man like Cullen to show her there is love. A lot of women have Demons in there past and I wanted a woman who kept fighting even when most wouldn't for so long.
