If you've had sexy times with Cullen, that means you've completed both Here Lies the Abyss and Wicked Eyes and Wicked Hearts, right? So you've triggered Blackwall's real personal quest, and there's a reason you can't find him at Skyhold. At the stables where he usually hangs out there should be a letter from Blackwall to you pinned to the little griffon toy he was working on before, and a messenger by the door who will update on what's going on. Just follow your quest journal after that and you'll find him.

Oh no, it's a bug then! There was no note, I looked at that thing he's been carving. I hope I have a save I can reload to that is not back in the fade.

Lol, it seems like I am one of the few people who have never smoked in their lives. Being on the Varsity Soccer team and Cross Country team, well one does not smoke. Not that I'm bashing anyone, I just haven't smoked and never intend to put deadly chemicals into my body.

I think I remember reading that theory before. I guess I just assumed Cullen was all goody two shoes cauz he kind of seems that way to me, maybe because Alistair was and they are both kind of sweet and awkward so I find them to have lots of similarities, but whose to say he doesn't take sleeping together not that seriously. Maybe they have been all this time, and this is just kind of the first time he realizes how much she means to him and that he doesn't want it to be just a fling. After all you do get the option to lock in the romance at this point.

And speaking of Alistair, my DA:O didn't import correctly and I got Stroud even though it should have been Alistair. Had to watch it online, so sweet to see him talk about the HOF(when I played he was my romance).

I could talk about this all day! To me he doesn't appear that goody two shoes, not like Alistair. We also know that he used to go to the Blooming Rose brothel in DA:2 to question the ladies, and the other templars visited for pleasure, so it's not that big of a stretch that he would partake from time to time. It's all open to interpretation but I just see Cullen as someone who's a really good guy and wants to be in something for love, but he wouldn't be opposed to physical stuff before "I love you" is said.  I also feel like they both knew they were madly in love way before they even hooked up.

 

I had trouble with the Keep at one point and I realized it was my own error - I neglected to "export" the file in the Keep first before firing up the game.  Make sure that's done if you do another PT.

Sexy time with Cullen. It happened, it finally happened.

So naturally I have some thoughts about it and wanted to discuss.

And I do not mean for this to sound critical at all, it was a lovely scene.

However, when Cullen seems unsure about what Inquisitor wants, like long term with him, I personally didn't really like her response "do you really need to ask?" that's kind of avoiding the question, and not very reassuring in my opinion. I really wish she'd have said something different. Cauz, yea he obviously does need to ask, since he did and all.

Also, at the end when you have the option to say "I love you", seems kind of odd to say that at the end, no? And it doesn't sound like she's said it many times to him before and is just saying it again now, it actually sounds like she is saying it for the very first time because she says "you know that right?" Just seems to me like Cullen is the sort that would want to make sure they loved each other before the sex.

Also I wish there was an option where he says he loves her and she says it back, instead of her saying it first.

And I think this was discussed a bunch earlier, but I do wish they were lying there together instead of her getting dressing all looking like she was going to just leave without saying anything to him.

Anyways, just my thoughts, again don't mean to sounds critical, overall I did really like the scenes, especially the part where they touch foreheads.

 

And maybe I just didn't trigger the right cut scenes yet since I literally just got done with the Abyss. But seems kind of odd that nobody noticed that we fell to our death, or so it appeared. I thought people would be all like "OMG you are alive?! How?!" I guess I expected more of a dramatic reaction, especially from Cullen who said nothing about it at all. Maybe he didn't notice, maybe time stands still when you are in the fade.

I dunno. On her saying I love you first, I think that fits with one of your points about how he needs reassurance. I like how they phrased it that she says it like, "you know this, right? don't forget it" because he seems like the kind of guy who constantly needs these reassurances. Like, I imagine him constantly having these moments where he stops and marvels, "Maker's breath, she loves me!"  I don't think he was ever imagining that would happen for him, so the whole relationship is like a beautiful miracle for him.

 

And, yes, I'm having Cullen feels again. I just finished my Chocolate and Sex follow up.

Some people think that it's not the first time they've had sex.  I initially thought it was, but now I'm not sure.  I definitely think it's the first time any I love yous were said.  I agree with a lot of your criticisms but I still really enjoyed it.  I definitely wanted to see some morning naked cuddles - even if they didn't really show much, or they were under the blankets. I have railed about this before but yes it's really odd that nobody comments on you coming back from the Fade alive, especially your LI.  As for "Do you need to ask?" I agree it's a bit blunt/short.  It seems like they tried to really keep the PC dialogue to a minimum.

 

In general this is how I feel about it with my girlies. I just think it's at the stage where he's wondering about the more and after part of the physical relationship - he doesn't know if she feels the same. Will she want to take it to the next level of wondering about a future together? When she says "Do you need to ask?" I believe that's putting his fears at ease because now he knows that she's felt the same all along. 

 

When she says "I love you, you know that right?" to me that means that she wanted to be sure he knew that. My bff almost never says those three words to her long-time b/f. It goes without saying. When they do say it, it's pretty heavy.

I have never had the bar scene, and I talked to him right after Halamsharal, and before I went to do the Abyss. Does the bar scene happen after both of these, or did I just miss it somehow? Maybe I got too many dissapproves from him or something...

sorry to continue off topic, but yes.. this was why I quit the cigarettes, and vaping made it easier to do it, as I had tried unsuccessfully 4 other times in the past. At 42 years old, now with 3 children, it was more for health than anything.. wanting to be able to see my children grow up and get married and have children of their own. I will stop now, thanks for putting up with my OT-ness.

Yeah it's possible he doesn't like you but you still would have gotten a messenger by the barn.

 

Also regarding the desk sex being or not being the first time - I'm inclined now to think it's not.  I don't think Cullen is a saint, but I'm not sure either of them would want their first time to be on a desk (although they obviously moved it upstairs). And it's hard to imagine that they didn't do anything when he took her to that secluded lake! I also like the idea that they had been bangin', spending time together, now it's time for THE TALK as to where it's going.

My father grew up in Ukraine(then he moved to Russia, which is where I was born and grew up, but now I live in the US) and everyone smoked, it wasn't a known thing that it was bad for you. My grandfather died of lung cancer. I can't remember when exactly my dad quit for real, but I just remember it was a very long struggle and sometimes it seemed like he was done for good just to relapse. I am glad he did it though because I know he really wanted to.

My father has stage four lung cancer is currently going through chemo (we just found out 2-weeks ago and it has been a rollercoaster).  Makes me feel like the biggest dipsh!t alive for ever smoking, even if it is just vaping now.  Also the reason why my "memories"-themed Cullen fic had to take a back to seat to more fun stuff...cause it it was getting way to close to home to write it and I was getting...too close to the story...

 

Gah, I wish I never picked up a damned cigarette! They are evil

*hugs* I'm so sorry.  I lost my father to stage four brain cancer back in 2013, and I know it's hard to watch a loved one go through such pain.  I can definitely relate to it being a rollercoaster.  I actually stopped smoking for awhile and then picked it up again after he died, which was the biggest dumb@ss move to make after losing a relative to cancer... but it's a comfort, you know?  I just now am trying to stop again.  But yeah, I wish I never started either!  If you ever want to talk, feel free to PM me, alright?

I kind of picture him looking excited and relieved when scouts inform him she's coming.

 

Also...you know the Inquisitor's quarters and that big empty area below with the latter? I like to think he sneaks up there.

I can picture Iron Bull finding out about the desk sex from his mage from the Chargers because she's a shape shifter and was on a window ledge watching.

Hi everyone, 

I'm not on here very often and the thread moves so fast you've probably all forgotten now but I wanted to say thank you for the kind words about my inquisitor and her backstory.  A couple of people asked about me turning it into a proper fanfic which I probably won't be doing - but it did remind me that I have an almost finished fanfic from a looong time ago (started it before even DA2!) covering the end of DA:O, through Awakening and beyond, featuring HoF and Alistair and Nathaniel as main characters.  Would anyone be interested in reading it if I were to post it?  I need to do a bit of proof reading and there are some bits missing that I'd need to sort out but it's a shame for it to sit on my hard drive.
