Speaking of which, should we start really cutting out on the OT now that we're only about 150~ish pages away from 5k, or is everyone else doing alright with their contributions? I know at least Seph and I were already pressed for time about 200 pages ago, and the thread didn't really slow down at all. But if eveyone's ready to go and it's just me who's running late, I can postpone my current ptoject and whip up a quickie oneshot to at least have something to contribute with.

 

My art's pretty much finished now, or at least as finished as it's going to get, hah! Thanks for thinking of me, though. I realized it was silly of me to be overly perfectionistic with it when my knowledge of anatomy/lighting still needs work...so I needed to take a step back and move on because I'm not going to get any better unless I practice more. At least I'm relatively okay with the way it turned out, wooo. I don't mind waiting for you and anyone else who still needs time to finish, though, because why not let everyone give the celebration their all? I'm sure everyone's stuff is going to be awesome. * 0 *

 

Though I very much hope the big 5k doesn't end up coming about on Monday, because that's the one day I have classes for 8 hours straight and I really doubt I'll be allowed to pull out my comp to post in the middle of Calc. sob.

Not a complaint, but Cullen's face looks different in some shots - rounder in some and more angular in others, to me. Or is it just angles + lighting + expression?  He's so emotive.

I feel the opposite - the dragon armor is too beautiful and glamorous for running around in the mud and killing dime-a-dozen bandits in, so I can only wear it to ceremonial scenes like Vivenne's salon, the Therinfall audience with the nobles, and the Orlesian ball, where you're supposed to be looking all luxurious.

Hahah!  Seriously nine, we are always on the opposite side of the galaxy from on another!   However, i can see wearing to Viv's salon...the poofery and what-not on the shoulder works for Orlais...

Totally agree I'm more of a Fenris build kind of gal. My hubby's a twig. and I too didn't fall for cullen until DAI. I had to do my research prior to launch on who to romance and I wasn't keen on solas, and Dorian's stash weirded me out (little did I know at the time that he's aaaamazing!), so narrowing it down lead me to Cullen. And now I'm a gonner!! Cullen every damn time, moded dao, rushing to talk to him in da2. My love just worked backwards I guess

 

I went in thinking I was going to fall in love with Blackwall (because physically he's my type) but I ended up loving Solas to pieces. Of course neither one of those guys was available to my character and neither was Cullen, but I did like to pretend that my romance with Bull never happened and that me and Solas were secretly in love lol Dorian I just couldn't stand; his arrogant attitude just put me off. 

 

But yeah it's funny when you go in with predispositions, only to have another character sweep you off your feet First time going into a game knowing all the facts for me. I mean if I'm counting all the guys, just not who I could romance. Going into DA2, I knew about both Fenris and Anders, made a Hawke for Fenris, and did indeed fall in love with the relationship. I went into DAO knowing I could only have Zevran but I confess I did fall for Alistair (but ultimately my second playthrough the Zevran relationship worked great). ME series, I started with ME3, and of my two options, I settled on Kaidan, and that indeed is who I ultimately fell in love with, even when I played the whole trilogy

 

However, I still have a thing for Blackwall. Perhaps that's why my dwarf will go for him.

LOL that's funny, because I don't like how form fitting some of the armors are. I worry my elf will get broken in half. Luckily there are a range of styles.

Well look at what my elf is wearing as armor now (thank you mods and Cheat Engine).  She's a mage so it's OK

Speaking of, for the those who ot he deluxe stuff...I can anver bring myself to wear the "armor of the dragon"...it is so...ugly and ungainly looking to me.  Reminds me of a bad prom dress in the 80's or something.  Anyone else feel the same (or differently)?

 

It looked stupid on my male Dalish (too bulky and flashy for a Dalish hunter) but my female dwarf ROCKS it She probably added even more bling to it xD

Not a complaint, but Cullen's face looks different in some shots - rounder in some and more angular in others, to me. Or is it just angles + lighting + expression?  He's so emotive.

 

From what I observe the scenes with better rendering quality makes his face a bit rounder, more angular when it's worse rendering quality. There's some difference I guess, but his cheekbones are also both round & angular at different points, making his face looks different if looked from different angles. (I've been staring at his face for a full week now, each evening trying to draw him )

 

That screenshots from attack of Haven is where the angles of his cheekbones are at most "roundest", in "Perseverance" at his office for example it's a bit more angular from what I see...

It is helmet You can randomly find in game, I have crafted it with Cheat Engine.

There's even a difference in his face between that scene of him following the IQ to her room at the end of the game and the shot of him telling her he's just glad she's alive.  Hmm, maybe I need to study all of his scenes again, for science.  Personally my favorite shots of him are, in no particular order:

-When he smiles at the IQ for the first time during the "i'm glad you survived" convo, just that whole sequence really

-During the chess scene but mostly at the end

-His serious face during their first "date" when he asks her to take the lucky coin

I love his face all of the time of course, those just really stand out to me.

Yeah it seems to be the Wicked Grace, the only moment in the game he's so relaxed.

 

And those cheekbones... Oooh... With both him & Cass around, there are lots of magnificent cheekbones... It seems that his cheekbones is a bit rounder at the top & a bit more angulous at the bottom.

It's his dorky gigglesnort from the Wicked Grace scene, if you let Varric tell his story rather than telling one yourself. This is the famous laughter that cracked up Allegra so bad in her sessions that she couldn't stop laughing to record Josie's next lines in the scene.

I don't know exactly how you would search for it, but someone on Tumblr posted close ups of all the companions wearing it in the last week.  I remember seeing them in my dash.

Funny thing is I do think my female Trayvlan warrior fell in love with Sloas even though she couldn't have him, and one of my females humans Mages actually (headcanoned that she kissed him in the fade but got turned down by him) to her embarrassment. I think human mage/Solas stories are lacking stupid race gating

It will depend on the camera's current FoV (field of view). Things can start to get distorted and round-ish with a wider field of view...think of a wide-angle camera lens. If I'm feeling ambitious later I can post up some differences.

I never chose the option to ask for another round of drinks but oh my gOSH is he adorable when he volunteers to go get them, I'd heard that he did that but never saw the clip and nothing could've prepared me for how cheerful he sounded when he jumped up to do it. And look at how he tells them not to leave him out, omg. There's just something really youthful and sweet about it. You can tell he's really happy to be there despite his initial reluctance. I am so happy for him. sigh

I like the look of it on most of my IQs, but the stats are so low that I never wear it more than 30 minutes into the Hinterlands, if that, I think. Not really worth it.

You do get upgraded schematics for all the "Flames" gear as soon as you get to Skyhold. I end up using the shield for a good part of the game. That and the shield looks pimp.
